18-Year-Old Files Civil Rights Complaint After Arkansas Trooper Allegedly Punches Her During Traffic Stop
An 18-year-old driver has filed a civil rights complaint following a controversial Arkansas traffic stop involving State Trooper Moisses Arellano. The driver was reportedly stopped for traveling 71 mph in a 60-mph zone while using her hazard lights, later explaining that she was trying to get home after her car window was broken.
Dashcam footage from the encounter shows the confrontation escalating, with the trooper taking the teenager to the ground and striking her in the face as she repeatedly asked to call her mother. According to the Arkansas State Police report, the trooper said the strike was used after she allegedly failed to comply with commands to roll over.
