Future of Lupin the Third

With the passing of Yuji Ohno, the funal chapter of Takeshi Koike's film series has finally come to pass and the voice of Fujiko from part 1 passed away, 2026 has been a bittersweet year for the Lupin franchise.

I am honestly curious and worried about the series moving forward. Yuji Ohno is one of the best composers in the world and he will be hard to replace. He was a beloved member of the Lupin the Third community and the 6th member of the Lupin troupe from part 2. With his death, he joins Yamada Yasuo, Goro Naya, Mario Inoue, Kiyoshi Kobayashi and Eiko Masuyama in heaven, and bringing the classic era of Lupin to an end. We also lost Yukiko Nikaido who voice Fujiko in the original Lupin the Third anime and with her passing, the original line up is official gone. While she voice her once, I think she was good as Fujiko and doesn't get enough credit.

Finding a new composer will not be easy. Simply put, the anime won't be the same with the iconic compositions of Yuji Ohno.

And speaking of the anime, we still have not heard any confirmation of part 7 or anymore Lupin specials or movies, which isn't too surprising. We could get news of a new Lupin anime special but who knows how it will be received. The series has gotten a bit of a renaissance in recent years but now the future is looking a little uncertain. Part 6 was mixed and the last crossover was meh. The reception of the last 2 Koike anime projects was pretty good from what I've heard but it looks like his time with the franchise is over for the time being.

So with all that said, what to do think will become of the Lupin series moving forward?

A REAL USAGI CARTOON

Usagi Yojimbo is one of my favourite comics but for some reason a proper animated series has never been made. And before anyone says anything ,yes ,I am aware of the Rabbit chronicles but that doesn't feature Usagi (outside of a cameo). It focuses on his stupid great grandson or whatever. Was the decision to make a cartoon not focused on Miyamoto Usagi a Netflix decision or a decision made by Stan Sakai? I know he is very protective of his creation.

Usagi has only appeared in animation as a guest character in TMNT cartoons but never gotten a cartoon series of his own. Why is that? What possible reason could there be for not giving one of the greatest comic book characters of all time an actual animated adaptation?

Scariest moment from.BTAS

With Halloween coming up I want to know which moment from BTAS is the scariest moment for you?

For me it is the moment from Eternal Youth, where Poison Ivy reveals her collection of "wood sculptures ". The build up and reveals of her victims is just horrifying especially when you see Alfred amongst them.

Dream matches we will never see

Over the years, wrestling fans have been lucky to witness many great dream bouts, from The Rock vs John Cena to Bryan Danielson vs Okada Kazuchika. However there are just as many dream matches we will never see for one reason or another. It is shame but that's life

Here is a list of dream matches I would have loved to have seen:

Eddie Guerrero vs Bryan Danielson

Dudley Boyz vs Rock N Roll Express

Kurt Angle vs Ken Shamrock

Mickie James vs Madusa

APA vs Sky Scrapers (Sid and Spivey)

Sandman vs Crash Holly

Steve Blackman vs Shibata Katsuyori

Stan Hansen vs Tomohiro Ishii

Nic Nemeth vs Christopher Daniels

Samoa Joe vs Hashimoto Shinya

Randy Orton vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

Usagi vs Shredder who wins?

Usage Yojimbo vs The Shredder. In all the TMNT/Usagi crossover stories (at least the ones I have seen) I have never seen Usagi face off against The Shredder. Why has this never happened? And if these two did face each other, who would win?

Why I hate the IWC

I try to stay positive. I try to be nice. But everytime I say ANYTHING online about wrestling or just a wrestler I like or why I think wwe is rubbish, there is always someone from the Internet Wrestling Community, ready to chime in with a disrespectful comment, a condescending opinion or just looking for an excuse to insult me and act like they know better. I had to delete 2 posts because half tge people commenting on them just couldn't be respectful for at 5 seconds and decide to whine or complain or just tear down wrestlers I like without giving good reasons. And then they got the nerve to talk down to me and act like they know better than me!! They don't know anything!!!

I know not everyone from the iwc is rude. I know I maybe overreacting but I can't help it. I cannot keep this in. I have things to say and it would be nice to find someone who actually respect what I have to say instead of feeling like acting like a jerk towards me. Sorry for being negative but I had to get this off my chest.

To all the IWC members who have insulted me or just annoyed me in the past, you are not better than me and you know it.

The most underappreciated character in MOTU?

The He-Man and the Masters of the Universe line has loads of great characters but some of them of often overlooked and underappreciated. Some people could say it's Mekaneck. However in my opinion the most underappreciated character in the franchise is Jitsu.

Jitsu is one of the coolest and most badass characters from MOTU. He has a cool design, a badass weapon (metal hand) and has a good backstory. Well, two backstories. First one depicts him as a disgraced warrior who is forced to serve Skeletor and the second depicts him as a rogue fighter who actually gets the chance to rule Snake Mountain for a time when Skeletor is away. I am serious. That actually happened.

Sadly he has been pushed into the background. Why? Fear of racial stereotyping. A bit simple but let me explain. He is often viewed as a racist stereotype due to his design and ethnicity but I never had a problem with it. However I can understand why Mattel would be weary of using him. It is the year of 2026 and everyone gets offended over everything so you can imagine how certain people would react if Jitsu appeared in the 2026 MOTU film. And yet, there is just one little thing I need to point out. Transformers has two characters who are strongly influenced by Japanese culture. Bludgeon and Drift. They are both alien robot samurai! And out of the two, one could argue that Drift is an even bigger "stereotype ".

Jusy look at how he was portrayed in Age of Extinction. His design was strongly influenced by Japanese Samurai , he speaks in a heavy accent and his personalityis that of a wise and humbled warrior of asian Japanese descent. There were complaints but apparently not enough to stop him from appearing in The Last Knight. His depiction in the film also influenced his appearance in Transformers RID (2015). I never had an issue with Drift or how he was portrayed.

If Hasbro is ok with using Drift I see no reason why Mattel can't bring back Jitsu. He is a cool character who is tragically underappreciated and deserve his shot in the spotlight. He was going to appear in the 2000s cartoon (even got a toy made) before he was dropped. I imagine that Mattel might bring him back if he is updated a bit. Perhaps change his name though I do not see an issue with it.

Ultimately while I understand the reasons why the character is not used often, I still believe he deserves some recognition and wider exposure. If the 2026 can make Goatman into a recognisable figure, I see no reason why Jitsu can not get similar treatment.

Do you think Jitsu is underappreciated? Is he truly offensive or is Mattel letting possible fear of public back lash hold them back?

New dc animated films after Knightfall

I used to be a huge Batman fan but after years of overexposure I am quite sick of the character. So you can imagine that I wasn't too keen on an adaptation of Knightfall. I understand why thsy made the film but even with the debuts of new animated projects Batman still gets more animated appearances. The character just feels hollow to me because of all the overexposure.

However if the film trilogy is a success I am hoping WB will commission animated stand alone films for other characters.

Here is my wishlist for future dc animated movies:

Superman for All Seasons

Green Lantern Sinestro Corps wars (two part adaptation

The Flash Return of Barry Allen

Green Arrow year 1

Batgirl year 1

Secret Six

The Question (based on Denny O Neil and Denys Cowan run)

Justice (adaptation of Alex Ross and Jim Kruger story)

What dc animated films would you like to see after KF?

Fancaat for Tatami Galaxy dub

Out of all the anime in the world that haven't gotten a dub, Tatami Galaxy is at the top of the list.

I absolutely love this anime. It's story, themes, memorable characters and brilliant animation made it one of the best anime of the 2010s. And yet it has no dubs. One of the common reasons for why is because of the fast paced of the dialogue which I understand. That said, it is this fast dialogue that makes it hard to enjoy the visuals of the anime if you watch the anime with subs. A dub would make it a bit easier to enjoy the visuals.

I have no issues with subs. I can be a sub and dub watcher depending on the anime.

I've watched Tatami Galaxy in its Japanese version for years and now I love to see a dub produced one day.

In terms of dub cast I have thought about this for some time. So here is my fantastic for the Tatami Galaxy dub:

Robbie Daymond as Senpei (our nameless protagonist)

Zeno Robinson as Ozu

Cristee Vee as Akashi

Jonah Scott as Jogasaki

Lex Lang as Higuchi

Carrie Kerenan as HAnuki (repeal from night is short walk on girl)

Barbara Goodson as Fortune Teller

What do you think of my fan cast?

2020s has beern a nightmare for the voice acting community and our childhoods

I know everyone dies but it is still painful when someone you know passes away, especially when they are so young. And the 2020s have been a very bitter year for voice actors. Between 2020 to 2026, we have lost more well known and iconic figures in the voice acting industry.

Kevin Conroy

David Warner

Arleen Sorkin

Richard Moll

Philce Sampler

Jack Angel

Rachel Lilis

James Carter Cathcart

Gilbert Gottfried

Tony Todd

Billy Kametz

Lance Reddick

Peter Renaday

Atsuko Tanaka

Kiyoshi Kobayashi

Eiko Masuyama

Yukiko Nikaido

Henry Silva

Bud Cort

Shelly Fabares

Val Kilmer

Clive Revill

Kozo Shioya

James Earl Jones

Jim Paddock

Tom Kane

Daveigh Chase

Hayden and Jansen Panettiere

Dolly Parton

Tim Curry

Peter Cullen.

There are more who have passed away it is hard for me to remember them all and I have tried. So many names from our childhoods. Gone. Some died far too young.

Obviously there have been years and decades where we have lost well known VAs, but the 2020s feels especially bitter sweet and heart breaking. In addition to these great voice actirs, we have lost great live action actors like Jason David Frank. And yes I know half of these actors have done live action work as well but their performances in voice acting is where I first learned of them.

It is a tragic sign that we are sll getting older and older every day. All we can do is honour all those who have passed and try and live life to the fullest, just like all our childhood heroes.

May they all RIP
