What is the Meaning of the Symbol that Appears when a Comment is Edited?

I've noticed that when I post a comment, and then edit it either to correct an error or to add additional text, a small symbol appears to the right of the Share Button that lies below each and every comment on Reddit. The symbol is similar to an analog clock face set to 3:00, and is followed by a numeral.

I'm assuming the symbol is in fact simply an indication that the comment has been edited, but I'm unclear on the significance of the numeral. Can anyone enlighten me?

Fixing the State Park Reservation Squatter Problem

Looks like California is finally paying attention to a problem that many have complained about for years:

For years, California has been plagued by no-shows and late cancellations at state park campgrounds amid both a rising demand for campsites and limited penalties for those who don’t cancel their reservations in a timely manner. That’s set to change starting July 1 when new reservation policies take effect, which include steeper financial penalties and a one-year ban on campground reservations for repeat offenders who routinely no-show on sites.

Sometimes I'm Glad that I'm Old

Back in the 1960-70s I was an avid backpacker, rock climber, desert rat, and enjoyed all things outdoorsy. I sought and found a great deal of solitude, including solo hikes and small group technical climbs, but hated crowds. I was even happy with the relative lack of crowds outside of the valley in Yosemite, and hiked up the Mist Trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls, and would never come across more than a half dozen people in the entire round trip.

Sadly, those days appear to be lost forever. He's a recent image of the Mist Trail.

Some people will go to great lengths

I mean, I'm a fan but if I lived well outside the Land of In-N-Out I'd probably just sigh and find an acceptable alternative. But not the Crazy Korean Cooking founder.

Though, as a now-retired intellectual property lawyer, I wouldn't be surprised if In-N-Out looks askance at this playful idea if she tries to turn it into an actual commercial operation. Trademark law doesn't look kindly on piggyback marketing no matter how clever the alternative name might be.

Seen in Eureka

Saw this rig yesterday on Waterfront Drive across from the Marina ramps. Looks nice, but what about the low overpasses?

Insurance Question

I have a somewhat unique question. I own a Skamper model 060S that was formerly mounted on my Jeep Comanche. Sadly, the Jeep gave up its ghost after 325K miles and years of living and being used next to the Pacific Ocean and the Vermillion Sea.

So I’m in the process of mounting the Skamper on a Versatile 5X8 flatbed trailer which was designed to haul an ATV or motorcycles (GVWR of 2,600 pounds) while I finish a thorough inspection on the condition of the camper and refurbishment if I find any problems. I plan to use the combination rig as a travel trailer.

My question is due to the fact that my longtime insurer is so far reluctant to insure the combined rig without a VIN for the Skamper, even though the Versatile trailer has a VIN and is titled and plated with the California DMV. I think that the company views this combination rig as a home built travel trailer.

If I come up dry with my company, does anyone have a recommendation for a specialty insurer? I’ll probably try Progressive, but have had mixed results with that company as well.

I plan to use the combination as a travel trailer for a while, then sell it. If a potential buyer wants just the Skamper, I will split the combined rig, but won’t sell the trailer itself until the Skamper has been sold.
