What are the benefits of the Neptune 4?

To be clear I don't mean for this to be just a complaining ramble, I'm genuinely confused about what benefits this printer has over its alternatives.

I got a Neptune 4 Pro and it's been nothing but difficult. I followed all the instructions, levelled the bed according to the A4 paper guide, printed a perfect test Buddha... On my first 'real' print a piece of filament broke off and jammed inside the extruder gear, so I had to take the whole extruder apart to get it. Maybe I messed up the levelling or print settings somehow? Re-levelled, tried again.. Realised that the printer seems to hold files in its memory instead of reading the USB stick so it was preparing to print a file that I had overwritten with one with better supports. No problem, hit cancel before anything gets extruded and try again.

Nope, that causes the printer's instruction queue to break and it can't process the Stop until it's finished the Print. Of course since it's trying to print a file with poor supports, it starts to fail, and since the instruction queue is frozen it can't be stopped, so the only option to save a mess of clogging is to power off and hope for the best. When powered back on, firmware is damaged and needs to be re-flashed. That's my first experience with the Neptune 4 Pro.

A friend lent me his Bambu A1 Mini to try while I was figuring out Elegoo's terrible returns policy. Obviously the bed is smaller, but it's considerably cheaper (full A1 is still cheaper), comes already built, has automatic bed levelling, failure detection, self-cleans, WiFi and app integration, and it works. First print was perfect, using the same Elegoo filament as I'd used in the Neptune, and now it's 8 hours in to an overnight print that I can check on from its (crap, but still) built-in camera.

Genuinely before I sell the Neptune, what are the benefits of having it over the full-size A1 for a pretty similar price? What does it do that the A1 doesn't? Thanks for bearing with me, it is a slight complaining ramble but I'd rather not go to the hassle of selling if I don't have to!

Neptune 4 Pro extruder jammed?

I just got my Neptune 4 Pro set up, the rest print (Buddha) using the provided PLA was perfect. Then I unloaded it, wiped the nozzle clean, loaded in the full PLA reel (still Elegoo branded) and started a test print of my own. It got about halfway through then the printer continued until "completion" but extrusion stopped about halfway through, it said "finished" with only about half of the layers done.

I wasn't sure if I'd just given it a bad file so tried with a different one and that simply went through the motions of the print without extruding any filament at all.

Now, I've tried unclogging the extruder using the needle while it's heated and a tiny bit of filament comes out stuck to the needle (I've seen videos where unclogging results in a whole blob of filament emerging), and I can't load any new filament. It's like the clog is at the upper part of the extruder, I can get the filament in far enough that the clip holds it, but not far enough that it's caught by the loading mechanism.

Any ideas for what I did wrong or do I just need to take the extruder apart and investigate? I used all the default settings for PLA, levelled properly.

Your daily ranked hot take

Everyone should be required to pick primary and secondary role preference before playing ranked, and should be required to pick from those roles, as a hero with a minimum number of games played (say, 20 QM or ARAM) or level requirement unless those roles are already occupied. A "ranked ready!" flag per hero.

Matchmaking should account for role preferences, not necessarily in a strict '2 assassins, bruiser, tank, healer' format but as good a spread of primary and secondary preferences as possible. XP bonuses can then apply to encourage more non-assassin role preferences. MM already accounts for role in quickmatch, so why not for ranked?

There are so many choices in this game, it isn't hard to find at least one hero in each category that you vibe with. Whatever the rest of the team has going, I know that I can pick Tracer/Azmodan, Butcher/Murky, D.Va, Malfurion/Lucio, Johanna/Stiches and be good enough, this should be the standard expectation in ranked play.

GP 'not making referrals'?

I'm (38m) trying to get assessed for ADHD. One GP I've seen absolutely agrees that I meet all the criteria for diagnosis but they're not a psychiatrist and there aren't any NHS ones available to diagnose. That's fine, Right To Choose.

So I go away and follow the process, get a pre-diagnosis (from Well Life Clinic which offers a right-to-choose referral pathway) and submitted their pre-referral to the GP surgery. I got a message a few weeks later that "Based on the information currently available, ADHD referrals across (my area) have been on hold since the end of last year" and to check back in a few months.

I presume there's just nothing I can do about this and they're basically telling me to go private? I'm struggling with my symptoms quite a lot but hundreds of pounds is a lot to pay.

Any advice, or am I just fucked?

Board game collections?

I'm still missing a few Dark Souls and Bloodborne expansions, but I'm gradually getting closer!
