I'm scared of A.I. erasing my channel

And the fear train keeps on rolling.

I just watched this video by a YouTuber who had a video get age-restricted by YouTube and he mentioned that it's because YouTube is all A.I. That being said, it scared me a lot especially since I'm a small YouTuber with only 51 subscribers and that means YouTube could go after my channel for absolutely no reason.

Now in my previous post, I know someone told me that most YouTuber speech is hyperbolic, which I am aware of, however, I don't know if this guy is speaking hyperbolically and I am freaking out because of this. Keep in mind, I am autistic and some aspects of sarcasm, hyperbole, and tone goes over my head.

Please help.

Hey everybody!

First time in this Reddit community, but I finally posted my first fic!

I was debating back and forth in my head whether or not to do so, but I got some words of encouragement from those on the r/pokemonfanfiction thread and those from the comment section of a ColeyDoesThings video and I finally decided to post my first fanfiction.

I'm so happy for you guys to read it!

Why do I feel like it's all my fault?

I'm so scared right now.

For those that aren't aware, I started my YouTube channel last year after losing my job. Since then, while I've been struggling to find a new job and especially since I've been grappling with wanting to disclose that I'm autistic, I've also kept up the upkeep of my channel; making countdowns and thumbnails ahead of time so I don't run myself ragged.

Now, I feel as if everything is either crashing down on me or everything is being snatched away from me. These past two months, we have had the U.S. government trying to pass A.I. age verifications on the internet and recently (I found this out on a post from the YouTuber ChibiReviews) New Jersey - my home state - is trying to pass an internet time limit. I'm scared and I feel as if everyone in government is trying to punish me by doing this, like they're saying it's my fault and my being myself is ruining the status quo of New Jersey and the United States. I've even called Governor Sherrill and Senator Booker to apologize for being myself and ruining the status quo of New Jersey and the U.S. and not being exactly like them like they wanted.

I know I'm going to get hated on and get negative feedback for this, but I can't help constantly feeling like it's my fault. Like I'm an autistic stain/plague on New Jersey and the United States. Please I need help and advice because my channel is something I wanted since I was in college and I don't want to lose it.

Safe Nintendo DS ROM hacking tool help

Hi.

Um, first time posting on this thread. Would've done so earlier, but I kinda got scared away due to the guidelines seeming scary. I'm autistic and I'm making my first ever ROM hack of Pokémon Fire Red that I'm calling Pokémon WildFire Red (inspired by Drayano's FireRed Omega - hoping to make other ROM hacks inspired by Drayano's hacks or maybe others like Emerald Imperium or XG).

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on and testing my ROM hack, making sure it's to my specifics (even replacing a few TMs, since adding more crashes the game). Additionally, I've added a few battles with Fire Emblem characters like Azura, Citrinne, and Cai to the game as well. The point of this post is I'm not considering my follow-up ROM hack/difficulty hack after this and I would like to make one of HeartGold and SoulSilver. The problem is there aren't that many tools for Nintendo DS ROM hacking out there right now and I have my heart set on it.

My question is; Are there any tools out there for making ROM hacks for Nintendo DS that are safe for PC? I would really love a recommendation.

Thank you.

My team after Brock (Drayano Gauntlet - Fire Red Omega)

I don't know if this is annoying, but I've tried the Drayano Gauntlet so many times, it's not even funny. My previous attempt was the furthest I got, only for Giovanni to wall me due to that Tyranitar (no joke, the team is had for the Giovanni fight had 4 Pokémon walled by Tyranitar - Electabuzz not withstanding, but Drayano had to un-nerf Hyper Beam).

So, I decided to restart the Drayano Gauntlet from the beginning and I beat Brock with (surprisingly enough) no deaths. If you're wondering why I have 3 Grass types, Oddish and Sunflora were my first encounters in Viridian Forest and Pewter City and Grovyle is the gift Treecko from Route 2. And I separated the starter from an encounter; so while Magby is the starter, Shellder is the Pallet Town encounter.

What would happen if these two interacted with each other?

Alright, truth time here.

I was very much divided on what to do, especially considering I wanted to consider what would happen if Sirocco, N, and Amethio interacted with each other. However, at the last minute this more or less popped into my head and just took over.

That's not for nothing because in the end, both have had some considerable skill in thievery since in FE4, Patty is first seen snagging the Balmung sword before being caught by Shannan (and subsequently believing that she was ruined for marriage as a result). Meanwhile, Niles was a former thief who had to steal to survive in the slums of Nohr and, in his support with Peri, was also planning to kidnap Peri when she was a child due to believing that she was a killer doll.

Honestly, I know it's weird and I'll get some ridicule for this, but it's something that popped into my head randomly.

It...uh...it happened again.

Hey folks.

I'm not sure if anyone hates me from my last shiny post in my Renegade Platinum, but...shiny clause activated again. This time, it's a shiny Mankey after my main Route 206 encounter of Stunky.

It's a shame Annihilape didn't appear until Gen 9 since that is the only member of this line with an amazing shiny. Granted, not complaining about shiny Mankey though since he's a solid complement to Monferno, Combusken, and Lucario.

Pointers for Floccesy Ranch Plasma Fight

Well, I took the plunge and decided to play Blaze Black 2 Redux since a lot of people find this to be hard. In reality, I'm testing it out before I get to it in my Drayano Gauntlet attempt (FireRed Omega, Storm Silver, Renegade Platinum, Blaze Black, Volt White 2 Redux, a possible X and Y difficulty hack, Rising Ruby, Meissa Moon, and possibly, if I find a way to play them, Crown and Compass).

Getting to the point, I am getting close to an infamously hard early-game Plasma Battle with a team of four Pokemon and while obtaining a certain Pokemon from an egg eased it a little, I am still feeling kinda nervous about it.

Any pointers?

Should I take a week off while I get my voice back?

Simple question, but complicated all the same.

I'm just recovering from being sick this past week due to have a sore throat and a headache that caused my voice to basically go for the past three days. I want to film my next countdown tomorrow, but I don't know whether my voice will be back to how it was tomorrow.

So, should I take a week off in order to allow my voice to recover, because I don't want my channel to suffer because of it?

Day 14/100 of Making a Post Every Day: Who is your favorite non main lord character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave?

Hey guys!

Sorry it took me so long. I was at my autistic day program and I was feeling a wee bit of burnout. That being said, I was able to ruminate on the question of the day and it's something that involves the amount of info we're getting about the characters in this game.

With the recent reveals of Fabio, Esmeralda, and Michaela; my question is, Who are your favorite non main lord characters we have been introduced to in all of these trailers so far? Of course, I'm also including those characters that were not yet named but have made quite a splash in this community (For me, honorable mentions go to Leda's ojou-haired friend and Pirate Majima - or as this community dubbed him, Pirate Waluigi). Of course, four characters have become prime standouts for me and I may as well mention why.

First is Ursula and let me get this out of the way, it's largely because I have a soft spot for archers. That being said, like Leda; Ursula is revealed to be a hunter, a class we have not seen since New Mystery of the Emblem. Safe to say, I was very intrigued to see how she was going to work out, since one of my best experiences was the class was Warren from New Mystery of the Emblem. Of course, she also shares similarities to Marianne from Three Houses due to having the Crest of the Beast, so there's a possibility that she's a cross between Marianne and Warren.

Second is Alexandra and I have been drawn to her ever since the second trailer during the Nintendo Direct last month. While we don't know quite yet what class she is and how she fights, I agree with everyone else that not only is she downright adorable, but it's fair to say that she's best girl material similar to other red or pink haired female characters from past entries (Lapis, Annette, Genny, and Sakura). Finally, I have to mention that I'm interested in the characters of Tiara and Pieter. As I mentioned in the previous post, they seem to have a childhood friend dynamic with Cai and while I'm unsure if that's the direction IS is going with here, it would be interesting nonetheless. Tiara seems like an interesting character due to being your standard bookworm, as well as a possible closet fujoshi (again, Nina better watch her back) and her grandfather possibly either being a great tactician (Thracia reference maybe?) or a former war veteran may be an interesting bit of lore for us to know about. And while I did compare Pieter to Cookie from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, he also shows similarities to P.J. from Goof Troop, being a loyal friend to Cai, but also being dragged along into Cai's efforts to save his father as well (also, maybe I might also compare him to Kliff from Echoes).

Let's get this over with.

Alright, I've seen these before, but I've never done this until now.

So, what do my crushes say about me.

Just so you know, they are adult women and also, it's fair to say one of them I've been trying to deny for the longest time since the game came out (thanks for that, Johnstone).

Characters included:

Jacinthe (Pokémon Legends Z-A)

Ivy (Fire Emblem Engage)

Ophilia (Octopath Traveler)

Day 12/100 of Making a post Every Day: What unit surprised you the most in their game?

Well, since the last post was about units that were basically units that were so disappointing that we wish were better, it makes sense that we would take a look at the opposite. Yes, that's right the question of the day is; Which character was so good in their game that it completely surprised you? I know everyone's expectations are different, but we've all had those characters that we've either written off or had high hopes for that had completely exceeded them.

That being said, I just so happen to have three, however they are more or less related to my previous post. The first two units are Faye and Cyril. If you remember from the previous post, I was more or less disappointed by Jean, but I really don't have a disdain for villager or trainee units (additionally, I'm still willing to give Jean the benefit of the doubt since I've played Engage twice - just to address the many people shocked that I consider Jean as disappointing). Of course, Faye and Cyril - largely Faye - were the reason why I like the trainee units. Since Faye is Echoes exclusive and Echoes was my *only* foray into Valentia, I couldn't really use Gaiden for comparison. Of course, that means all the Valentia units were my first experience using them and Faye really impressed me out of all of them (in Alm's route, since Celica's route had Mae, Saber, and Leon as standouts), becoming a Priestess and becoming one of my strongest units - and critting quite a lot.

As for Cyril, considering the amount of units in Three Houses, it's understandable that the poor boy gets overlooked (and considering my first playthrough was - inadvertently - Crimson Flower, yeah, I definitely overlooked him 😬). However, in subsequent playthroughs, I've always mentioned to recruit him and he's more or less reached or surpassed my expectations that I have for him (even moreso than Hilda - who's lazy as heck - Caspar is still ahead though, so it buffs out).

And finally, Guy. Now, Blazing Sword is my first Fire Emblem game and as much as I've heard, a lot of people bemoan the fact that the Swordmasters in the game just aren't good (even Lyn, one of the lords of the game - make that make sense). That being said, I've wanted to use units that I've never used before, so last year, I did a Hector Normal Mode playthrough of Blazing Sword as Hana from Fire Emblem Fates (since her birthday is a day before mine). While I got to use (and appreciate) units like Wil, Priscilla, Canas, Isadora, and Farina; one of the most surprising units I used was Guy. He was surprisingly dodgy, hit hard and fast, and he consistently got crits on difficult opponents others would not have taken down on their own. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and I have a lot more respect for this...Guy (sorry, I just had to make this pun).

FIRST SHINY IN LEGENDS Z-A!

I'm naturally not that lucky with shinies and I don't know what the flair is for this, but every time I see people showing off their shinies, I want one for myself.

Of course, it kinda makes sense that when I got Pokémon Legends Z-A for Christmas, I wanted to find a shiny myself, whether on my first playthrough or subsequent playthrough. Unlike Legends Arceus, where I found a shiny Hisuian Voltorb on my first playthrough, I was unlucky this time.

Being said, I very nearly gave up on looking for a shiny, when I was heading for a sidequest, I heard the shiny chime and I was frantically looking for it (I...uh,...thought it was a Pidgey). I eventually looked into Wild Zone 8 and saw a shiny Numel. Thank God I had shiny clause active because I went in there and now Persona is a member of my squad of Persona users.

Day 9/100 of making a post every day: What is your favorite character from each game?

Hey everybody!

I know it's been a long time since I did this, but I kinda got scared away from making this because I thought it would get removed for some petty reason (I know, I realize now that's kinda stupid). However, I got a message on a previous post in this series asking me why I stopped and it got me realizing there are people that (possibly) like these posts. Since I knew I had a lot of ideas for this series, I decided to come back and not let people scare me away from something I enjoy (or let other people's opinions scare me away).

That being said, what is your favorite character from each main series Fire Emblem game. With Fortune's Weave set to release in September, what better way to prepare by looking back at our favorite characters from each game.

Here's mine

Archanea duology: Linde (Honestly, I love mages, so it was a no-brainer and for a while it was between Lena and Linde. It was my playthrough of New Mystery that cemented her as my favorite, mainly because I was shipping her with male Kris)

Echoes: Mae (One of my best units in the game when I play it, as it's between her, Saber, Gray, Clair, Faye, or Leon as the top unit)

Genealogy: Ethlyn (A surprising pick, but it was gremlin Ethlyn from the Oosawa manga that did it)

Thracia 776: Tina (Mainly because of Heroes as she is one of two characters that are my favorites that have a solid track record, but if I get the Scarlet/Violet DLC, I'm going to play through Pokémon Violet as Tina)

Binding Blade: Rutger (Again, it was between him and Dieck, but it was thanks to Felix that caused me to see Critger in an entirely new light)

Blazing Sword: Rebecca (The reason why I have a love of archers in Fire Emblem as in one of my first playthroughs of the game, I used Rebecca and I was hooked. When I did an Ironman playthrough of Blazing Sword on my Switch, I knew I had to use Rebecca)

Sacred Stones: Ross (He edged out over Amelia, Neimi, and L'Arachel, even being one of the units facing off against Formortiis in my Ironman playthrough of Sacred Stones. And now, I'm trying out Warrior Ross in my current playthrough of Sacred Stones going through the Ephraim Route)

Path of Radiance: Rolf (He always seems to be a surprising unit, as I've done several playthroughs and Rolf has become a veritable juggernaut in them)

Radiant Dawn: Edward (One of the only Myrm who's not an edgy sword boy and like Tina, he has a solid track record in Heroes. But he's on a team with Base Sharena, Base Seliph, and Matthew, so it's to be expected)

Awakening: Owain (For the longest time, I paired Male Robin with Lissa because of Owain. Plus, considering how over the top he is, I get a smile on my face whenever I get to his paralogue. That being said, this leads to...)

Fates: Ophelia (As much as I like Owain, I adore his daughter as she is one of my favorite - and best - mages in Fates. Plus, her supports with the other 2nd Gen kids in Fates like Forrest, Soleil, and Hisame are enjoyable)

Three Houses: Marianne (It was originally going to be Annette, but honestly, how could I not choose Marianne. Her S-support animation is adorable, I felt horrible when she didn't show up in the timeskip because I didn't recruit her, and she is a versatile unit, even as a Trickster)

Engage: Lapis (She became my favorite in the game instantly as in my first playthrough she became one of my best units, her supports with Alcryst are so heartwarming that I can't help but ship the two of them, and honestly, in subsequent playthroughs, I know I'm going to use best girl no matter what)

I swear this is not hacking!

Honestly, I do not know what is going on, but this is one of the few shinies I got while grinding.

For those that don't know, I am doing a Renegade Platinum nuzlocke where all gift Pokémon in an area are separate from normal encounters (for example, even though you can get the Hoenn starters, the gift Beldum, and all of the fossils in Oreburgh City, they all count as separate encounters and are all valid). Additionally, I'm allowing healing items in battle as well as the shiny clause (again, the healing items thing is something I've hesitated to implement because of PChal treating me like I'm not a real Pokémon fan because I don't play the way he plays and I don't use Zangoose all the time - I know Jan is chill most of the time and people are going to say, play the way you play, but I still have a sneaking fear about it from time to time - and I don't want to invalidate my rules or my nuzlocke, but I don't want to lose the lucky rolls that I got).

Anyway, I'm trying to grind my Pokémon to the level cap of 26 for Gardenia (each level cap is for the next Gym Leader; so after, the next level cap is the level of Fantina's highest level Pokémon, even with the 4 battle gauntlet of Jupiter, Mira, Dawn, and Aaron before then), and one of the spots I'm grinding on is the honey tree on the outside of Eterna Forest, due to the Beedrill giving a lot of EXP. Yeah, if you hadn't already guessed, I found a shiny Beedrill while grinding. And this isn't the first time shiny clause has been activated while grinding in a Nuzlocke as I found a shiny Spinarak in Celadon City during a previous attempt at the Drayano Gauntlet in FireRed Omega ( not to mention the shiny Unovan Yamask I pulled in Diglett's Cave during my previous Radical Red Nuzlocke attempt, plus the countless shinies I got in my first three Professor Oak's Challenges in USUM, SV, and ORAS).

I'm not hacking, I'm just grinding. I swear I'm not that lucky.

u/FewAngle737 — 4 months ago

A Moment of Silence

I don't know why I always have to start my Drayano gauntlet from the beginning and honestly, I don't want to jinx it, but I was positive this would be the run (especially when I got the rare Venonat in Viridian Forest).

That was until I got to Brock. It looked pretty promising thanks to leveling Ganondorf, Darunia, Shellblade, and Fado to the level cap, of course, Onix and its Swagger and Dragonbreath made it a little dicey. Of course, Tulin somehow tanked a Rock Tomb that was planned for a sack, which allowed me to save him. However, our avian bard friend Kass here wasn't so lucky and like in Tears of the Kingdom, his wings were clipped.

I'm sorry Kass. Thank you for your sacrifice and may you rest in peace.

Common Critique of Myself

Honestly, I'm not sure if this has been done. First off, I don't know how to flair this and I might be castrophizing and spiral because of this (keep in mind, I'm on the autism spectrum and even I didn't know I was doing this, and it took me a while to realize it).

Am I a terrible person for following my dream to become a YouTuber, even while still watching Chuggaaconroy's, Illymations', OtterlyNoah's, and WatchMojo's videos? For those that want to know, I was afraid to start my channel after Chuggaaconroy's and Illymations' controversies because I thought people would antagonize me because I still like and watch their videos. Of course, I finally started it last year and in that year OtterlyNoah's controversy happened. He did make his apology video and I forgave him, but there were still people who antagonized him over the controversies.

I don't like it when people antagonize other people, so I told them off. Problem is, they not only swore to keep up their antagonism, but also started antagonizing me. Now, the Voyan video and subsequent WatchMojo.com crash out happened and while I still watch WatchMojo's videos, I feel like I'm getting punished by other people because I still watch and like WatchMojo's videos. So, am I a terrible person because of the videos from the YouTubers I mentioned, I still watch?

How do we feel about Veronica?

Okay, I know I haven't played that many Dragon Quest games, but I am currently playing through Dragon Quest 11 S for the Nintendo Switch. I am currently on the road to Gallopolis after recruiting Veronica and Serena and I am also grinding a little while on the road.

The reason I ask this question is while I'm normally a big fan of mages, I'm unfortunately very split on the sisters. While I really like and am very fond of Serena, I am not a big fan of Veronica. And it's not because she's weak, since she was an extremely big help all throughout the Jarvis boss fight while Erik, *clears throat*, died. However, when she basically told the Luminary and Erik not to treat her like a little kid, I found myself rolling my eyes and going."Oh, it's one of these."

Now, I don't hate the trope of young characters who are mature for their age not wanting to be treated like kids. I just find the fan reaction to them to be fairly hypocritical. And I've seen this before in the Fire Emblem franchise, as both Ricken and Lysithea are fan-favorite characters because of their backstories, magical aptitude, (and in Lysithea's case her strength a.k.a. Dark Spikes go brrr). Meanwhile, Hayato, a character from my favorite entry - Fire Emblem Fates - gets tons of hate because he mentions that he's not a child, something Ricken and Lysithea have done a lot in their respective games - Awakening and Three Houses, respectively. I don't want to hate Veronica, but can you blame me, I really don't want to be burned by this sort of discourse again.

Would it even be possible?

Hey everyone.

First off, this is my first time posting here and I wanted to get involved, but didn't for the life of me. I created my own fanfiction that is basically a crossover of Pokémon and Fire Emblem Awakening. A notable first step in a series of fanfictions that is basically Pokémon and Fire Emblem colliding that would eventually lead into a Pokémon and Fire Emblem Engage crossover involving a Pokémon trainer who is from my own fakemon region, Anteria.

My question is, Should I post this fanfiction/fanfiction series on fanfiction.net or AO3? I'm asking this since I've seen more fanfictions of this caliber on the former, but I've got into watching content from TonkaJoey and ColeyDoesThings on YouTube and I'm interested in the latter more. My problem is that I don't know if people on AO3 will hate my fanfiction series because it doesn't have romantic or yaoi/yuri situations in it (it will have romance because Fire Emblem and as an autistic individual, I've recently realized that I tend to spiral or catastrophize when faced with a difficult situation like this, hence why I'm asking). Not only that, but there's also the Fire Emblem fandom who can be very contentious when it comes to stuff like this, so I don't want anyone to come for me.

I'm sorry for the overexplaining and overly long question (I just watched a video about weird things that you tend to notice when you unmask as an autistic individual), but this was weighing on my mind for some time and I really would like to know.

I've Always Wanted To Do This

I've always seen this done in Guilty Gear circles, so when I saw this, I wanted to try it for the first time (keep in mind, I'm autistic and I get excited by stuff like this)

*clears throat* Who is this?
