My girl

Kimber 1911 Next Gen 5” .45 ACP.

About 400 rounds through. No issues. This is my hunting carry/winter ccw here in Florida. Also got a micro 9 recently, super fun and comfortable. Next gun will either be the DS warrior or just go all in and get a 2K11. Not sure yet.

Micro 9 vs Ultra Carry 9mm

Looking for a Florida summer carry gun. Wondering if spending the extra $300 is worth it for the ultra carry.
Found a Micro 9 nightfall for $500 at the local gun shop.

Bucherer Lighter and Watch refurbished

Found at an antique mall. Lighter portion was non functional. Has a beautiful manual wind watch. Was nice restoring it to its former glory. Amazing the detail people used to put into the simplest of things.

Last picture was before the tlc.

Found for $2

Found this for $2. How does it attach as a wristwatch is that how it’s utilized is it popped into a case along with a bracelet? Any pictures on how it’d look would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

First Fix!!

First Fix!!

This is the first watch I have fixed. I simply pulled off the balance assembly, as I noticed that it was only moving unidirectionally while the train of wheels all had adequate movement and the barrel had appropriate tension. I put the balance back on and it started working immediately. That was an incredible feeling. Amazing to fix a 109 year old watch!

Elgin Center wheel loose and can’t remember where these screws go

OK, so this is the first time I’ve ever pulled apart a watch. I got pretty far but I think I should’ve taken pictures before I did stuff. I have some extra movements coming in so maybe those will guide me in the right direction. I just got a little bit excited. So basically the center wheel is kind of loose as you can see. I’m not sure if the missing screws with those little pins at the bottom of them have anything to do with it. The watch wasn’t winding up originally and I found that the arbor had just came loose from the main spring, which I fixed. Now I’m stuck with these extra parts that I can’t really remember where I pulled them off from and the center wheel is loose as a goose. all help is appreciated. Thank you so much. I think I’m on like our seven of this. I’ve spent at least an hour and a half looking on the floor for parts that have sprung Off and somehow I’ve managed to find all of them.
