Why do so many Tunisian Redditors expect to be making 5000+ TND within a few years?

I genuinely don't understand where this expectation comes from.

If your first job in Tunisia pays you around 1000~1200 TND, why do you expect to be making 5000+ after only a few years? For the majority of jobs here, salaries simply don't grow that way. A lot of positions eventually cap somewhere around 2000~2500 TND, unless you move into a highly specialized field, a multinational company, or work remotely for a foreign employer.

I've seen people with 5 years of experience feeling completely disappointed because they're making 1900~2000 TND. Like... where did you think you were supposed to be at that point?

We're in Tunisia, not Europe or the US. You can't automatically apply their salary expectations to the tunisian job market.

If you start at 1000 TND, getting to 1800~2000 after 5 to 7 years is not necessarily some massive failure. The bigger question is whether you're in an industry where salaries actually have room to grow.

So where exactly did this idea that everyone should be making 5000+ TND after a few years come from?

Just focus on yourself, improve yourself, and the right person will eventually come into your life... DUUH

I keep seeing this advice everywhere but I don't understand what logic is that.

If you want something in life, you usually have to actively pursue it. Nobody is going to sit at home improving themselves and suddenly have their dream job knock on their door. You still have to apply, network, interview, and put yourself out there. That's the biggest BS advice I've ever seen.

Why would relationships be fundamentally different?

If you want a relationship, shouldn't you also be meeting people, going on dates, expanding your social circle, and actually making an effort to find someone compatible?

Of course, obsessing over finding a partner isn't healthy either. You should absolutely build your own life, have goals, become a better version of yourself, and not make your entire happiness dependent on another person.

But there's a huge difference between "don't make relationships your entire life" and "stop looking and the right person will magically find you." Honestly it sounds like an advice from a fairly tail.

It's time stop being delusional guys and especially you girls...

Lynk & Co 01 vs 08 Reliability & Long-Term Ownership (200,000 km?)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to decide between the Lynk & Co 01 and the Lynk & Co 08, and I'd really appreciate hearing from people who own or have driven either of them.

The 08 looks like the more advanced car, but it's also noticeably more expensive where I live. I'm wondering if it's actually worth paying the extra money, or if the 01 is already good enough for long-term ownership.

My biggest priority isn't performance or gadgets, it's reliability. I tend to keep my cars for a long time, and my goal is to own the vehicle for around 10 years or roughly 200,000 km without any major mechanical failures.

A few questions I have:

  • How reliable has your 01 or 08 been so far?
  • Have you experienced any mechanical issues, battery problems, or expensive repairs?
  • How has the PHEV system held up?
  • If you've driven both, is the 08 worth the extra cost, or would you choose the 01 again?
  • Do you think either model is realistically capable of reaching 200,000 km with proper maintenance?

I know the 08 is still fairly new, so long-term data is limited, but I'd love to hear your experiences or opinions.

Thanks in advance!

Am I the only one who is geniuly dissapointed by the new generation of the BYD sealion 6 (aka SEAL U/Song Plus)

I recently went to my local BYD dealership to place an order for what I thought would be the BYD Song Plus DM-i. That's when I found out the current model has been discontinued and replaced by the new one. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed because I was actually looking forward to buying the older model.

Am I the only one who prefers the previous generation? I think the exterior update is fine overall, I would rate it 8/10 (compared to the 9/10 of the previous model). It looks a bit more modern, and I don't mind it. But the interior is where it lost me.

The new driver's instrument cluster/dashboard just doesn't look as good to me as the one in the previous model. More importantly, I'm really not a fan of moving the gear selector to the steering column next to the wiper stalk. I know it's becoming a trend and it frees up space in the center console, but I genuinely preferred having the gear shifter in its traditional position on the center console. It felt more intuitive and, in my opinion, looked better. Maybe I'll get used to it if I end up buying one, but right now I honestly think the older interior had more character.

How reliable is the BYD Song Plus 1.5L DM-i in the long run?

Hi everyone,

I'm seriously considering buying a BYD Song Plus 1.5L DM-i, but my biggest concern is long-term reliability.

I'd love to hear from owners who have had the car for a while, especially those with 30,000 km, 50,000 km, 100,000 km+, or anyone who has owned it for a while.

A few things I'm curious about:Has the DM-i hybrid system been reliable?

  • Any issues with the engine, battery, transmission, or electric motors?
  • Have you experienced any software problems?
  • How expensive has maintenance been?
  • Any recurring faults or things I should know before buying?

I'm looking for honest experiences both positive and negative. Thanks in advance!

How long does ferritin take to rise with iron supplements?

I have iron deficiency without anemia. My ferritin was low (25ng), but my hemoglobin and other blood counts were normal.

My doctor prescribed 29 mg of elemental iron per day for 2 months. After taking it consistently for 1 month, I repeated my ferritin test and it was essentially unchanged.

My doctor said this is fine and that ferritin can take time to increase, but I'm wondering what other people's experiences have been.

How long did it take for your ferritin to start rising on oral iron supplements? Is it normal to see little or no change after only 1 month, especially with a relatively low dose like 29 mg elemental iron daily?

Razor shows us how basic nen training can make you scary strong

People really do not give Razor credit for how strong he is in HxH. I think he single handedly shows us how important is raw Nen mastery and basic training are in the series

Razor was technically living in isolation for years in Greed Island. Did not have to fight many strong people. He did not have to fight for his life all the time or chase after enemies like the Phantom Troupe did.. When the Troupe met him for the first time they were careful and did not want to fight him even though they had more people.

People forget about the scene where Shizuku arm wrestled Gon for the ring in York New arc. When she lost and they went back the Troupe's hideout, I forgot which member said to her back then that if they really wanted something they would just take it by force. they had a mission to do on Greed Island and Razor was in the way of that, to me this means they did not want to fight him because they knew he was too strong. They understood that fighting him was not an idea.

Razor is strong because he is good at the basics of Nen and he practiced for years. He is an example of what happens when you master the basics for years non stop. Also the crazy part is his Nen ability is so basic and simple.

This idea also applies to adult Gon and to some extent to Netero (although he definetly had expericne coupled with it).
