Questions about ADU

So I’m enrolled in the upcoming semester as a new student at the Abu Dhabi campus. Wanted to know about the gym and classes (mainly their locations, kinda nervous about getting lost) and honestly anything I need to know before hand. If you’re a student there or were a student till recently I’d appreciate any info. Thanks

Can business see the rating you give your class even if you didn’t post a written review ?

So I just joined classpass for the month of August and bought the 83 credit package. Even though I did my research and calculated how much my classes will be, it’s looking like I’ll need to bump up my credits because of how class pass chooses to raise them by two points after knowing you like a specific class.

I’ve read about this somewhere so I decided to test out the theory. First few classes I gave 3’s and the minute I give a class 5 stars it gets bumped up by 2 credits 💔

People with similar experiences mentioned this happening a year or several months in but I guess mine is different?

Anyways this post was meant to shed light on this specific experience but to also ask if business see your rating ? I see written reviews and the general score a business gets but I’m wonder if the instructor can personally see them too, kinda feeling bad about my experiment cause the classes were really good. I think I should just suck it up and give them my honest review

Starting my morning right with Brian withers

Guys
I just started this but I honestly believe it’ll be life changing I just know it.

My thoughts in the morning haven’t been the best, to the point where I wake up and cry because I’m on a negative loop. I’ve been aware of how powerful our thoughts were for more than a decade so I knew I had to change my conscious thoughts one baby step at a time until those thoughts saturate my mind instead of my current thoughts. I thought meditating and affirmations would be the right route but it’s no match to a 20 minute rant from Brian withers on YouTube.

All he does is break the same ideas down on each video but it’s so much easier to digest compared to affirmations that are hard to believe.

I just wanted to come on here and share because it’s shifted my emotions in the morning significantly.

Affordable female therapist

Posting this incase anyone is looking for therapy online that doesn’t drill on your wallets but is still professional. Stumbled upon this clinical female therapist and honestly I don’t understand how people can go through life raw dogging it without help. Genuinely changed my life.
22$ an hour to me sounds like a good deal for the treatment I received

An old manifestation technique from 2015 that somehow still works for me

I randomly remembered a manifestation technique I learned back in like… 2015? Maybe 2016.

The weird thing is I can’t even find the original YouTube video anymore.
LOA absolutely exploded over the years and I swear that video just got swallowed up. I don’t remember the creator’s name, I don’t remember the title, nothing. Which honestly annoys me because I wanted to go back and watch the rest of his videos since this is probably the most successful manifestation technique I’ve ever personally used.

The technique itself is ridiculously simple.
He said to make a list of **8-10 things** you want to manifest within a week. Not fewer than that for some reason. Weirdly enough, coming up with 8-10 believable things is actually the hardest part.
The catch is this:
Every single thing on your list has to feel believable.
He kept emphasizing that your belief should be around an 8, 9 or 10 out of 10. If there’s resistance, make the goal smaller.
So if you’ve received $500 before, manifest $500 again.
If your friend buys you coffee all the time, manifest a coffee.
The point wasn’t to force yourself to believe something impossible. It was to pick things your mind already accepts as possible.
Then every day, you’d spend **2 minutes visualizing each item.**
Imagine you’ve already received it. Feel excited. Feel grateful. Then move on to the next one.
If you have ten things, that’s about twenty minutes total.
Then you just… go about your day.

The first time I ever tried this I was around sixteen.
One of the things on my list was receiving **500 dirhams**.
That wasn’t some crazy amount for me back then because family friends would sometimes give us Eid money or money on special occasions. So my brain didn’t really argue with it.
Another thing was…
A mocha coffee.
😂
I had just become obsessed with mocha.
The funny part is I wasn’t specific.
In my visualizations I kept imagining someone randomly bringing me a mocha coffee.
Not me buying it.
Someone just handing it to me.
A few days later my dad’s friend came over to visit. It had been about a week after Eid and he suddenly said,
“Oh! I forgot to give you guys your Eid money.”
He handed each of us **500 dirhams.**
Check.
Now the mocha coffee…
That one became hilarious.
Instead of getting the coffee immediately, I started seeing mocha EVERYWHERE.
One of my favorite YouTubers suddenly wouldn’t stop talking about mocha coffee.
Then I went downstairs to the supermarket under my mom’s work place just to buy a soda.
I glanced over at the instant coffee aisle…
There were probably 10 shelves.
Every single shelf was empty.
Except ONE lonely box of mocha coffee sitting there.
I literally laughed out loud because what even was that?
Then my sister randomly offered to buy me coffee.
She asked what I wanted.
Instead of saying mocha, I went,
“Get me whatever.”

She brought me something that wasn’t mocha. 😂
Looking back, I realized the issue wasn’t that the technique failed.
I wasn’t specific.
I kept visualizing someone randomly bringing me a mocha, but I left so much room for interpretation.
Even then, I couldn’t stop running into mocha everywhere.
Out of my first list I think I manifested around seven or eight out of nine things.
The ones that didn’t happen?
Honestly… I later realized I wasn’t fully convinced they would.
I definitely had resistance around them.
Then life happened.
I completely forgot about this technique.
Stopped doing LOA consistently.
Stopped thinking about it.
Fast forward to literally last week…
For some random reason this old YouTube video popped into my head.
I couldn’t remember the guy.
Couldn’t find the video.
But I remembered the technique.
So I made another list.
I think it had around nine or ten things on it.
I visualized everything on day one.
Day two.
Day three.
Then…
I kind of stopped.
😂
Life got busy.
Tell me WHY everything on that list just started checking itself off anyway.
One thing was money.
And this amount was actually higher than anything I’d ever randomly received before.
I don’t even have a job right now.
I’m basically a stay-at-home daughter while I’m trying to manifest a job.
Realistically, I had no reason to suddenly receive that amount of money.
But for some reason…
I believed I could.
People always say money is the easiest thing to manifest.
I don’t know why, but honestly that’s been true for me too.
Another thing was honestly so random.
We have relatives staying with us because they’re here for a wedding.
One of them was considering finding a job here and living with us.
Without getting into family drama… I really, really didn’t want that to happen.
So one of my manifestations was simply that he’d change his mind.
He did.
Another one…
I randomly found out someone I knew from seventh grade had become a huge TikToker.
I sent her a message.
Everyone around me kept saying she probably wouldn’t respond and that I’d look weird messaging someone after all these years.
I ignored all that and put it on my manifestation list anyway.
A couple days later…
I got a notification.
“Oh my God!! I can’t believe it’s you!!”
She replied exactly how I’d hoped she would.
Warm.
Excited.
Happy.
And the timing was actually perfect because I was having an awful day.
My mood literally flipped within seconds after reading it.
My mom actually looked at me like,
“…are you okay?”
because it was such an insane 180. 😂
The funniest part?
I deleted the list.
I was weirdly paranoid about someone reading it, so I removed it from my phone.
Now I can’t even remember everything that was on it because I manifested them and moved on.
Which is honestly kind of hilarious.
I’m actually about to make another list after I post this.
I genuinely don’t think I’ll stop using this technique.
It’s simple.
It doesn’t stress me out.
It feels fun.
One little thing I personally do is play the Harry Potter soundtrack while I visualize.
I know that’s completely unnecessary, but it makes everything feel whimsical, like I’m on some little adventure. The music builds up and gets exciting, and somehow that makes me excited too.
If Harry Potter isn’t your thing, I’d just recommend putting on instrumental music that makes you feel good. Something without lyrics so it doesn’t pull your attention away.
Anyway…
I know manifestation posts can sometimes feel really far away from your own life.
I’ve been in that place too.
Lately I’ve actually been struggling with a lot of negative thinking, comparison, and wondering if my life is ever going to change.
Reading other people’s success stories has helped me through those periods more times than I can count.
So I figured I’d share one of mine.
I don’t know where that original YouTube video went.
I wish I could thank the guy who made it.
But if this post helps even one person the way his video helped me years ago, then I’m glad I remembered it.

Considering Under eye filler

I’ve had dark, hollow under eyes for as long as I can remember and they were never really an issue until this year. Recently I’ve noticed the edge of my eye socket becoming more visible due to how thin the skin in that area is, which creates the appearance of a second line under my eyes.

From the research I’ve done a lower blepharoplasty seems like the most effective long term solution. However I’m only 26 and it’s not something I can afford right now. Unfortunately, I have a very important event coming up in two months and I really want to improve the appearance of my under eyes before then.

At the moment filler seems like my only realistic option, even though I always told myself I’d never get it because of the potential complications. I live in Dubai so I have access to reputable clinics and experienced practitioners, but before making a decision I’d love to hear any advice, recommendations or alternative treatments that might be worth considering.
Thank you in advance for your help!
