Cheap Gas Prices in Jackson

I traveled to Nashville this weekend and when going through Jackson noticed quite cheap gas compared to everywhere else on the trip (traveling from Oklahoma). I stopped there again tonight and the lowest price is $3.18, and the previous place I saw before reaching Jackson was $3.79. Does anyone know why it's so much cheaper here?

Anyone know the cheapest option for ethanol-free 91 (Premium) gas in the metro?

Maverik in Tulsa has it for about 60 cents cheaper than anywhere I've found in OKC. Am I just missing the right stations?

For those who like harmonies, check out this forgotten Little River Band song!

Little River Band truly rivaled Eagles, CSN&Y, and Fleetwood Mac for best harmonies. This song (Middle Man) is my absolute favorite of theirs when it comes to harmony.

What is your favorite LRB song and what other songs with harmony do you recommend?

What Moment Made You An Audiophile?

For me, it was hearing Jackson Browne's acoustic version of The Pretender through a Marantz 2245 and a pair of beat-up Utah speakers. Don't ask me why it sounded good but those Utah's sang and my whole outlook on audio changed instantly. I immediately decided that my Crosley "entertainment console" sounded like an Edison cylinder and I trashed it and started the inevitable and never-ending search for the best sounding system.

I currently own a 1980 33-wpc Pioneer SA-510 amp (with Fluorascan meters) with tuner, an Optonica RP-7705 turntable (with rock solid quartz lock), and I alternate between a pair of Infinity IL-60s and Mission 770 Freedoms.

It at LEAST sounds a little bit better than that Crosley!😂

Linda Ronstadt and JD Souther's duet of Prisoner in Disguise is the greatest duet you've never heard

The lyrics are stellar. JD Souther was a phenomenally talented writer. Not sure why this song doesn't get more recognition but it's just gorgeous.

What's your favorite duet?

The Captain and Me by The Doobie Brothers is a FIERCELY underappreciated album and hands down their best

It's practically a perfect album yet never gets mention. There are literally no duds on here. Long Train Runnin' and China Grove are Classics but South City Midnight Lady and Dark Eyed Cajun Woman are arguably the best songs on the album. Skunk Baxter's guitar throughout the album (but especially his solo on Dark Eyed Cajun Woman) is just stellar (his solo on Steely Dan's My Old School is just one of the best ever), and Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons sing terrifically. I was hooked the first time I listened to it and I never get tired of it. The whole thing is just tip notch.

Any other fans out there that like this album? And does anyone know of a similar sounding band or sound? I'm sure there is probably some lesser known group out there that's similar.

I know, it's hard to pick just one and these types of questions are ridiculous, but I just love hearing people's opinion! What song reaches to the depths of your soul and impacts it like no other?
