i want to add swimming into my routine either after an upper or lower body day. my main goal is getting stronger/putting on muscle. i was doing a lot of running, but need a lower impact alternative
thinking about getting back to swimming on my 2 off days for cardio benefits and to burn some calories. would it be best to swim after a leg day, before an upper day, or after an upper day, before a leg day if gym performance is the goal?
i currently live in englewood, moved here about a year ago, and looking for a change. i am trying to decide between a place in rino, or close to wash park baker area. they are both around 1300 a month. i am in my mid 20s and am always in the gym, hiking, running/swimming/cycling etc
do you have any true rest days, or more double days? i am trying to build muscle, but want to swim/cycle/sprint as well
Currently ina gaining phase. Trying to build some muscle after 4 years of primarily endurance training. I’m lifting 5x a week and have been doing 3/4 low intensity cardio sessions , usually swim/bike and one high intensity session per week, but wondering if it’s too much for my goals
i seem to have good foot strength, doing toe yoga exercises and can splay my toes fine when i am sitting or standing, but when my foot makes contact with the ground, my toes dont splay at all
i want to drop to 4 days of training, but a standard upper lower doesnt seem to prioritize arms. i was thinking either doing 4 sets of bi at the start of a leg day, and 4 sets of tri at the start of upper day, or just do 4 sets of bi at the start of upper A, and end with tri, and then start with tri on upper B, ending with bi
moving out of my apartment in englewood because its a little pricey, and not in my preffered location. i was paying around $1,600 for a studio before other fees and parking. want to keep it under $1,400 and closer to downtown, cap hill, rino area. free specials also help

i moved to denver last summer looking for a fresh start, but recently lost my job and have had medical complications. my lease ends in july, and i have been considering a move back close to home. i grew up in lake county IL, my mom lives in janesville wi, and my dad lives in kenosha wi. i was thinking about moving within driving distance of them, because i miss them and want their support, especially as i think about starting a family some day, but dont want to be TOO close at the same time. three places i was thinking is madison/milwaukee/somewhere in lake county. all are within 90 min and offer more things to do for someone in their 20s..
im trying to bring my arms up , after doing a standard upper lower. what makes the most sense, upper lower, chest/back shoulders/arms, lower, or upper lower with a 5th arm day?
i have developed some type of neurological disorder where i can run and jump and lift weights no problem, but struggle with simple walking. sometimes my leg gives out, sometimes my leg jolts, almost like a spasm, but never happens when i walk backwards. i tried having ankle surgery because that was the only thing the doctors found that was structurally wrong, but now 8 months later, having the same issues
i have always started the week with lower, but wondering why most people start with upper or a push/pull day. is it just preference or doing what you prioritize ? i would say a. benefit for upper first, is you can take a rest day after hitting legs, but a benefit for lower first is you go into the hardest workout the freshest, and your back isnt already texed from doing rows the day before
