Fin Rot?

Water parameters are fine. He is resting in that photograph and the fins don't look right to me. Any helpful advice would be appreciated!

Serious question. If many of the plants posted here are rare, why does so many people have the same version?

Not being rude, seriously seeking truly rare plants. 🌱 peace!

Friend gave me this clipping but does not know the origin. The pads are not large, maybe 4 - 5 inches in length. Love the beautiful shade of green. No thorns apparently. Any help identifying would be much appreciated.
