Burned Floor Update (DO NOT buy Whirlpool)

UPDATE: Whirlpool accepted the home new build contract which itemized the range and are prorated buying it back.

I really appreciate Whirlpool doing this. I do not love the product and had issues with it like the timer being weird, but I like their customer service more now. .....

Previous and current photos attached.

Whirlpool sent a repair person to inspect. We are unable to determine why the Whirlpool range burnt a literal hole in my floor to the subfloor.

It appears significant heat was just allowed to pass through the heat shield.

I'm filling out a claim for the damaged floor, so I don't know what the outcome of that is yet but it sounds like there will be compensation.

As for the unit itself, they will only replace it with the same unit even though Whirlpool cannot determine why their unit, the same unit, almost burnt my house down. Because it is a new build house and I do not have a receipt, even though I registered this unit 3 years ago when I moved into a new build, they said I need a receipt to get a prorated refund.

Absolutely insane.

Never going with Whirlpool.

Whirlpool Gas Range short and burns in floor

Have a whirlpool gas range. Bottom ignition is causing the fuse to blow. I assume the igniter is damaged or otherwise. Pulled it away from the wall and found a good burn hole in the floorboards beneath. Not sure if related.

Trying to locate it iter and other components to inspect. Happy to hear thoughts

Might sell stunt bike, pricing

Might sell my MT07. Thing is, it's actually decked out.

21k miles

2022

MT07

Has all stock components in a box. Extra plastics. Only component I don't believe can me saved is OEM chain.

Has new chain.

Larger sprocket.

Magura levers and masters.

Steel lines bypassing antilock pump which can be reinstalled easy (pulp still there, just blocked off).

Twin stunts components.

Rear handbrake 2 x 2piston Nissin.

Impaktech guards.

Brembo foot brake 2 piston.

Hasn't taken a lot of spills.

First bike so babied like crazy.

No oil change beyond 2k.

Might sell as an option with or without handbrake so I'd consider reinstalling OEM antilock lines and keeping the levers, masters, and calipers for my track bikes. I'm mostly just racing now and being 40 years old where looking at stairs hurts my knees.

Trying to find where this problem is occuring. I already fiddled with the ignition and kill switch connections. Doesn't seem to be there.

Trying to diagnose a couple of problems.

2021 MT-10, 2wdw tune (who believe the problems are associated with an insecure shift linkage but it is secure).

  1. Quick shift issues

Last few months, when full open throttle accelerating, does not quick shift about 60% of the time. It feels as though it's happening more in the higher RPMs but it seems to be high RPMs plus high rate of acceleration that increase the chance it happens.

2wdw tuned with a auto blip, and to be honest I'm not sure if that means the quick shift is still technically OEM software or not.

My bet is leaning on a damaged quick shift unit.

  1. Throttle stays open cold

The throttle stays open after turning on without warming up after acceleration. It's like the throttle spring has a slow return. This seems to go away as the bike warms.

Now that I'm saying this out loud maybe it's just physically dirty. Hopefully it's a dirty spring and external throttle body but thought I would still post in case people know about issues with the throttle body causing this otherwise?
