I was diagnosed with PCOS in my 20s and birth control controlled high andrigens until bilateral oophorectomies (surgical menopause). Can’t use anti androgens due to genital atrophy and pain. DHT inhibitors cause side effects. Anyone here in menopause on dex or hydrocortisone and have symptoms controlled? Most worried about rapid hair loss. On estrogen but not helping growth/loss.

I’ve been on the patch for almost 2 yrs. E is causing severe oily face and scalp. I think it’s contributing to hair loss. I do have elevated androgen but when these are lower the oiliness remains. Anti androgens dont help . It’s E patch! I’m not metabolizing this correctly or something. When I tried oral E it didn’t do this but I lost haur in AGA pattern. Patch initially regrew haur and didn’t do this until 5-6 months in it. Anyone have this issue? How did you solve it?

As soon as I remove compression leggings (about 15-20 pressure) thighs burn. My L forearm burns spreading to entire L arm. My body feels so inflamed. Swelling in thighs, pelvis and genital. Vulva heaviness. Anyone else have this burning in extremities that reduces wirh compression and immediately returns when you take them off? Body feels so inflamed.

With the patch shortage combined with not absorbing patch or tolerating gels, I got labs that showed I’m not metabolizing estradiol well . MD suggested high dose estriol cream. I don’t see this used anywhere - biest, yes but even that doesn’t seem to have great reviews. I’m in surgical menopause and need high dose X that will work.

Ive had edema in the R lower pelvis for over a year. Diffuse abdominal edema started after external iliac lymphadenectomy. When I lay down the R lower pelvis is more elevated than L, it doesn’t feel or look equal to L side. The R side feels like a mound of hard fluid /thick air that I can kinda shift the overlying skin back and forth over it, like a hard capsule exists underneath it. You can’t press down into it bc of pressure/pain it causes. It can feel heavy, pressure, tight here but also across the entire pelvis. Lymphatic massage does not decrease this area. I have genital LE and compression decreaes edema there. When I wear compression leggings it will ache in the R pelvis. My entire pelvis can bloat too but the R side stays this way. Estrogen replacement makes it worse.

How does your pelvic LE present? I’m going crazy bc no MD has been able to tell me what this is for sure.

Have intermittent axilla lymph node swelling that are a little tender. Developed LE after lymphadenectomy in pelvis but told this unmasked primary LE. MD said lymph node swelling points to primary LE? Is this true?

I had surgery bc endo/scar was affecting a nerve. He said he would help me. He was very aggressive and made nerve pain worse among other severe issues he induced, now affecting 3 areas per MRI. Meds don’t help. Where are you guys going if nerves are affected? Would a peripheral nerve surgeon be able to treat this?

Requiring higher and higher dose with insane sebum production of face and scalp, hair loss, cystic acne. DUTCH proves very slow metabolism of E so metabolites are building up. Since stopping patches the sebum has normalized with mild hot flashes but I feel like hot garbage. E cream peaked too quickly. What did you do to treat this?

Anyone else experience rhis? I tried systemic cream on forearm and 2.5 hr later burning thighs! Ache/cramp. It was a very low dose that peaks fast. Same thing happens with E patches. I do have CVI and lymphedema. I took antihistamines and it helped. Trying to figure out of this is MCAS, true allergy to E or vascular dilation from E causing pain.

I require high dose estrogen patch (.175 mg) bc I don’t absorb well (also surgical menopause). I notice increasing leg tightness and pressure on the side I put more patches. No leg discomfort if I don’t use patches on R leg but if I use patch on r buttock will have r thigh pressure/pain. This pressure causes nerve pain at times. I have CVI in L leg, MT anatomy and genital lymphedema (possibly pelvic)

Read parametrium contains 1-3 lymph nodes on each side. Had right removed wirh r external iliac lymph nodes removed. Anyone else develop gential, pelvic leg lymphedema?

There’s a pelvic adhesion I can feel when I turn over or sit up quickly at times. I have worsening genital (R>L labia and mons pubis), bilateral thigh and pelvic LE. I only had R external iliac chain removed (number unknown) and all this edema resulted. Just wondering i if anyone had adhesion removal which improved vulva/pelvic drainage?

I notice I get lip HSV multiple times a year, probably 1 every 2-3 months. I am stressed but this seems very unusual. I feel sluggish and weak. No energy. I have multiple chemical sensitivity so already have a hard time processing environment. Are we sicker wirh LE?

Lymphapress pants just redirect fluid to the vulva. Are pumps available for this area? Compression garments aren’t tolerable due to nerve damage in pelvis. Swell spots cause nerve pain in R thigh.

Pelvic edema is fluctuating and at its worst causing immense pressure sensation with burning at an area where endometriosis/ fibrosis was excised from abdominal wall.

there is times when a spongy crepitus can be palpated in pelvic area associated with intense inflammation. I have endometriosis histiry and worry this is endometriosis and not lymphedema exclusively. There’s a hard “shell” I can palpate deep in the pelvis when fluid will build up under and spread outward from there going up to ribcage and never crossing over into L abdomen.

Could this be a lymphocele? LE therapists are clueless what this is.

Can endometriosis cause this degree of edema?

Can the fluid be drained to accurate diagnosis?

Estrogen makes this much worse. Progestin decrease edema and pain.

I’m losing so much hair in surgical menopause and cannot tolerate adequate amount of E bc of endometriosis. I want to tolerate synthetic combined pill form of hormones as it increases SHBG, decreasing free Testosterone which will improve acne, hair loss, oily scalp/skin, excess body hair, guy stank /BO.

I tried lowest synthetic hormone pill actually indicated for menopause (starts with F) but it caused hair loss shed like TE and the hot flashes and sweats returned and were brutal. I tried LoLoestrin and it caused the same. All of this after unsuccessful trials of higher dose BC pills - Sprintec and Diane 35, the latter causing severe vulva pain (it’s an anti androgen)

I’m hoping to combine some synthetic form of hormones wirh HRT like patch, injection or gel with testosterone injections to prevent negative side effects of the synthetic pill and give me balance to simulate what the ovary woukd be doing. Ive thought about vaginal rings Annovera too to combine with HRT.
