Will HotWheels release a new HWA EVO.R casting?

Many of us may have noticed the HotWheels logo on the HWA EVO.R #62 and #63 cars that recently competed in the 24h Nürburgring 2026. Hot Wheels is already a familiar sponsor in major American motorsport series such as NHRA and NASCAR, but seeing the logo at the world-famous Nürburgring felt quite special.

As far as I understand, the HWA EVO.R is not simply a Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II with a new body kit. Apart from the Mercedes-Benz M276 V6 powerplant and its obvious visual connection to the original Evo II, the car is very much an HWA-built reinterpretation. Because of that, I do not think HotWheels would simply apply an HWA livery to the existing DWH66 casting and call it done.

So, could the HotWheels sponsorship on the HWA EVO.R be a hint that we might see a dedicated HWA EVO.R casting in the near future? It would certainly be an exciting addition for both HotWheels collectors and motorsport fans.

Every spring, rural Germany turns into patches of gold. The rapeseed fields seem ordinary from afar, but somehow they make the whole countryside feel warmer, softer and a little more alive.
