Afib and Hair loss Meds?

Hey! I’m going through menopause, and have been losing tons of hair for a few years. I had an ablation several months ago and the 14 day Holter monitor test + my Apple watch haven’t noted a single episode of Afib since the ablation.

Is anyone here on Rogaine for hair loss? Is it helping you?

Doug Ford thinks you're stupid

He thinks you will look at his propaganda ads with the Protect Ontario logo and believe that since he has managed to have his team slap together some stats on whatever less-than-bare-minimum he has allowed to occur to enable forest fire management and fighting, and that you will not see all around you that it is NOT ENOUGH and we are in a crisis situation.

He has not addressed us with whatever his new plan is, acknowledged the suffering and losses up north, the health impacts now and down the road. He is on vacation while the province burns, stepping out only to shill for a company that isn't Canadian, to promote a day to "help" the kids whose families he has taken from time and time again, and who have very little opportunity to thrive in this wrecked province.

Time to act, time to spam him, time to spam your MPPs, join the protests, stop being apathetic, and forevermore - VOTE.

We can thank Doug Ford for taking money away from forest firefighting. Now our entire province is going to burn.

In 2025, Ontario premier Doug Ford decreased the province's budget for emergency forest firefighting from $177 million to $135 million, with $4 million cut from emergency preparedness. According to the budget, the province ended up spending $271 million-double. This year, the province earmarked $150 million. If you voted for Ford, this is your fault.

I cry every day.

Just two months ago, my seasoned, highly experienced and educated husband was laid off from a good tech job. We thought it wouldn’t be a problem for him to get something else. He’s had four interviews and he’s not able to get an offer. For the past six months I’ve been trying to re-enter the workforce after healing from a couple of serious injuries. I have applied to and followed up on hundreds of jobs, and not one single interview has resulted in all of my efforts. In fact, my applications are barely acknowledged. Before my injuries I worked from age 17 onwards without a break.

Every day I cry. Then I pick myself up and try again. I must admit that I am so drained and exhausted from all of this I’m losing hope that anything will change. We have only a mortgage and a car payment for debt, yet every month we find our small nest egg getting smaller and smaller.

I don’t know how we’re going to get through this and keep our small house. We’ve never been rich, mostly not even comfortable and this void of unemployment is killing me/us.

Is she happy.

This is Sweetheart, my light and sunshine. She died at 15 of a terrible form of oral cancer. I’m heartbroken, but just hoping she’s happy.

Burkey and Gay Buffet and Small Cabinet Restoration?

I have a beautiful Burkey and Gay dining suite inherited from my aunt, originally belonged to my great grandparents. The problem is that I think the table and small cabinet may need restoration on the top surfaces of both. To give you an example of what’s happened, I’ve attached a sample of the worst surface (on the cabinet). I think they might have used shellac but I can’t be certain.

Burley and Gay 1910’s

Looking for advice on how to deal with the missing finish in the second photo. Here’s another post with two photos of a couple pieces of my great grandparents 1910 Burkey and Gay dining suite. I also have 8 chairs, and a table, but for now I’m just looking for advice on how to help restore the small cabinet. I think the stain might be shellac.

Burkey and Gay Dining Suite

I inherited a beautiful early 20th century dining suite by Burkey and Gay that needs restoration. It originally belonged to my great grandparents. The finish is coming off on the top of a small cabinet, and the buffet table, dining table and some chairs could use a bit of a shine. I rubbed the bottom leg on the far left with a plain cotton cosmetic pad, nothing on it to see if the finish was still intact. It is on that leg, however the other legs, and the rest of that piece just like the others are showing their age and neglect. What can I do to correct this and make them shine again?
