The Steamcharts thread in r/Marathon looks like something out of Orwell's "1984" or Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" right now.

Like how can a normal person look at that and not think it's extremely derranged. Trying to censor people left, right and center, sticking your fingers into your ears and hiding the truth and simple facts with any means necessary.

This movie was the most emotional gut punch I have ever experienced in media.

Spoilers Ahead.

I walked into this movie expecting a really good horror movie but was not prepared for the amount of suffering, grief and never-ending-dread thrown my way.

The climax of the movie burnt itself into my head with Bear struggling and not being able to shoot himself, Nikki pleading with him through the closed door and the utter hopelessness of the situation. The short fake-love both wished-upon-characters shared only for it all to be ripped away mere moments later again and for the real Nikki to regain control only to find herself in a mix of gore, filth and depravity.

I have watched lots of grim horror movies in my life but this one takes the cake as being one of the most emotionally gut wrenching movies I've seen all the way up there with Hereditary and Midsommar.

Nothing kills my drive to play quicker than being put in a lobby with 15 minutes left TWICE coming in with a kit worth more than 100k.

This just should outright never happen. I get getting the odd late-spawn here and there, but when a kit exceeds the loadout value of 100k you should just flat out be GUARANTEED a full round. Just wasted two hatch keys exfiling from rounds which obviously were die hard PvP and I couldn't do what I came in to do.

Is there a way to start with almost absolutely nothing?

A friend and me just got the game and have installed a couple of mods and are getting a basic grasp on how the game works. We are however having the most fun, when we start our campaign with absolutely zero funds and just the very basic toolset for mechanical/electrical repairs so we have to really work hard for future supplies, sub-upgrades and new submarines in general.

The only way we've set this up so far is to somehow trash all of our supplies we deem "too much" at the start and spend all our money at the vendor and jettison what we got from him.

Is there any way to set up a "zero to hero" run quicker than this?

Edit: I found a solution, also thanks to u/justglassin33!

Install the mod "No Starting Gear" and then depending on which sub you want to start with, edit it and save it again and turn off "auto filling cabinets" - that way every container on the submarine will be empty. Adjust the submarines cost accordingly so you'll end up with 0 money at the start, or just as little as you want to keep.

Happy zero to heroing!

New player here, is there a Sherpa-System or somewhere to ask for an experienced player to help one understand the ropes of the game?

Hey there, I've played Albion for around twenty hours last year and dropped it but picked it back up because of the Josh Strife Hayes video. I'm primarily playing games solo and from what I've heard Albion is mostly a group focused game - thing is, I have no idea what I'm doing or if what I'm doing is the correct thing to do. It'd be cool to tag along with an experienced player for a while to really learn its systems and learn how to play properly without wasting time on noob traps.

I'm a bit disappointed at how small the map feels, and thought that it'd be a lot more similar to how big Blue Gate felt in size.
