What's the point of faking your trusted status down to user?

I've never understood why you would want to appear like a lesser user. I mean maybe back in the day when like it might have mattered more but it's kind of like an Open secret that the rank system has a lot of flaws and can easily be gamed if you know what to do.

Where should I post this

The store placed what seemed like every caution sign in the store right at the door like someone was bored. Idk I think not interesting maybe?

What's the biggest leg opening you wear?

And for others with the 50s... How do you navigate stairs? I find myself lifting up like I'm wearing a dress to not trip over myself. I have the Mug Shots and I love them but that part is the pain.

iPads are gone and replaced with these giant things

I was here this morning and the iPads were there as usual. Came back just now to grab a drink on break and immediately saw these freshly installed.

Anyone else seeing these?

UPDATE: Day 2 and it seems they only have 2 of them still. Kind of a pain because my location can be very busy. Also one of them is like 3' away from the regular register opposite it so if there is a crowd it is awkward trying to get in and use that one.

As far as the age demographic thing... I will say that IME it seems anyone over the age of 50 prefers to order at the counter anyway.

What's your unpopular VRC opinion?

I think you should be able to restrict an instance based on VR/flat screen. I also think they should bring back world filters for platforms so that I can actually filter for cross platform worlds only etc.

What's your unpopular opinion?

What's your current home world and why?

My home world has been Vapor Train for a long time now. Many of my friends that haven't been there before are always intrigued with how bright and strange it is. I chose it when I was looking for a very small file size world that would be fast to load and run smooth even when crowded. You can have a good number of people in here even on a Quest 2 without any performance hits and the frame rate is always high.

It's got a handful of music tracks baked in and it's random which one plays first when you load in which makes it feel less repetitive. There's ambient audio of the train and you have pens and some toys.

I used to use the vrc home but it kept getting larger and larger and not as smooth so that was what prompted a search for a new one.

My favorite way to world hop (method)

So instead of just going to the typical worlds people visit, I like to explore the unknowns and try to find a hidden gem.

The method is simple: either you or a friend picks a word, like any word but just a single word. Then type that into the search box and see how many worlds come up. Now ask your friend to pick a number between 1 and whatever the total number is. (So if there are 72 results you pick from 1-72).

Now just count up to that number in the list (hint it is in rows of 5 so you can just count in groups of 5) then whatever that particular number is for a result you go there.

This is how I ended up finding someone's amazing passion project that recreated the Indiana Jones ride from Universal.

Curious if others have any particular ways they like world hopping?

Offensive Barbie playsets was a great idea

The first one was its own idea. I simply asked it to make an image of an offensive Barbie playset and it made that. Then I gave it the ideas for the other two.

Edit: this was inspired by the trend a couple weeks ago with the Lego sets.

Edit 2: AGAIN THE FIRST IMAGE WAS LITERALLY CHATGPTS OWN IDEA ALL I ASKED FOR WAS OFFENSIVE BARBIE PLAYSET. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE POLITICAL.

Ideas for a world (but they can only be bad)?

What are some ideas for a world if you could only suggest terrible ideas. Not like "a blank world with nothing" but like idk..

A world where it's calm and peaceful but every so often at unpredictable times you hear the error sound and the VRChat error pops up on your screen? Or like random special sounds like someone knocking behind you or maybe a discord notification.

Give me your best worst ideas maybe one will come true.

Saw a Z8 show up at work today!

I know it's from TWINE but still it was awesome seeing it up close!

I thought it was a cool sight to see a Bond car that's rather uncommon up close. It was in beautiful shape and the owner said he has a few ideas for vanity plates.

Just wanted to share this with fellow Bond fans. And it was nice seeing the owner was also a fan himself.

Made a custom Discord RPC plugin to display better VRC status!

It runs separate from VRC and will display the world you are in along with the thumbnail, the player count, instance type and region. Other players can click on it and if you are in a non-invite world they can actually get the direct link to the instance or the world link in general.

This doesn't modify VRC in any way, no breaking ToS.

Let me know if you are interested and if you have any suggestions for improvements!

Made a working simulation of the Solar System!

It still needs a little refinement, such as adding in real time lighting to the sun as a source to cast shadows onto the planets and possibly may add a way to see the orbits.

The simulation uses the J2000 standard for the astronomical epoch. Orbits are simplified circular paths with plans to make them more accurate with eccentric orbits in the future.

Axial tilt is included, and the simulation can be sped up. I plan on adding a way to enter a specific month and year as a way to see where planets would be at any point in time.

Scale is not accurate but simplified for visual aesthetic. Skybox is the Real Stars Skybox to add more realism to the scene.

Once I finish this I will post the full world and share a link in a future post.

The diagram shown is from NASA showing the current positions of the planets as of the current time.

---The orbit directions are fixed now I already uploaded when I realized they were inverted.

Made a little Discord activity plugin for when I am working in the editor

It detects the project name, scene, and changes between editing and playing depending on what mode you are in.
