Random Insta Guy "Corrects" a LITERAL EXPERT on Orcas

I feel like the picture does it justice but just as some background, the author of the post is a marine biologist and she is well known in the Orca loving community. Some guy commented on her post trying to be all 'Uhm actually' 🤓👆and calling her beyond stupid.

I thought she handled it really well. She wasn't mean in her answer, but also made it clear she didn't tolerate disrespect.

I 18F messed up big time with my partner 18NB and i want to be better. How can I help someone with an avoidant attachment style feel loved, supported, and not make them feel guilty for needing space?

So my partner has asked for space, and I've been taking it as an insult. I've been totally freaking out, thinking that they didn't want me.
I talked to my therapist and was like "How am I supposed to know that they'll still be there when they're done taking space?!"
And my therapist was like "Uhhh because they HAVE been there when you needed them, and you haven't done anything to prove you're going to be there when they're done taking space."
Which is 100% true and I have been hostile or unresponsive after they've asked to take space.
My therapist explain to me that because of CPTSD I have anxious attachment issues, and my partner probably has avoidant attachment. She also explained what that meant.
Now, because of my partner, I've learned that love is a feeling, but it's also a choice. And I choose to make it work, and to get over hurdles because I want to be better for them.
Some things I've been doing is saying "hey it's totally okay if you need space, and I will be here when you're ready to talk, can we just do a quick check in at 10:00 PM, and besides that, I will be here when you're ready, take as much space as you need."
When they said they weren't ready to forgive me I said "That's okay, I don't deserve forgiveness yet, but I want you to know that I'm committed to getting better. I know it's not an overnight thing, and I don't expect it to be. You don't owe forgiveness.
You do deserve someone who's willing to improve, and so I'm willing to work on improving."
And also like asking if there's anything else I need to work on, and admitting to being a self centered ahole because I was.
Also saying "I also know this is a heavy talk, so if you want to take a break to process your thoughts, or even to do something else, I'm okay with that and I understand "
"I also want to be clear that there's nothing wrong with wanting space, and needing some independence, and I'm grateful you're communicating that to Me. I'm really proud of you."

What are other things I can do/say? I should be clear that we are long distance, and we're at a break in the relationship, so we're just friends, but calling them my ex feels like the wrong term.

Does anyone having experience being an anxious attachment kinda person dating an avoidant attachment person? How can I work on self soothing, so I don't feel so anxious when they need space?

And for people who might be avoidant attachment person, how can I help my partner see that I'm here for them, and that they don't need to feel guilty?

They deserve the world, and I want to work my hardest to show them they deserve everything.

BioCorps Internship

I just applied to an internship and I'm wondering if anyone else here has. Do you know if they respond after they've received all their applications on the due date, or do they evaluate/interview as applicants come in?

I have the worlds fondest memories of them, and my mouth waters just thinking about it, but they don't get produced anymore? Is there any way to obtain them?

AIO for getting grumpy? Instagram comments (I know, I know. Rookie mistake. I shouldn't have been in insta comments.)

There was a post with a bison walking super close to the edge of a spring, and I said 'So we were all worried, right?' In the comments. A bunch of people liked it, and some replied saying they thought the same as me.

Then this guy commented. I changed his pfp to a purple circle and mine to a yellow.

I'm not sure if it will let me add the images, I'll try. But I'll also copy and paste the comments either way

🟣 no. Wild animals know how to deal with nature. That's a natural landscape not man made so bison knew exactly what to do.

🟡 Bison fall in and die in springs all the time

🟣 they literally don't. There's zero evidence of this. 😂

🟡 Quote: "Michael Poland, scientist-in-charge at the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory and a geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, told CBS News on Friday it is not unprecedented that animals fall into hot springs. He said scientists have found skeletons at hot springs around the park, many of which are in the backcountry, not visited by tourists.
"There is one pool (in the Lower Geyser Basin) called Skeleton Pool," he said.
"What made this a little bit different is that it happened in summer, during the day, at one of the most popular tourist areas in the whole park."'"
Here's the link of a bison falling in in front of hundreds of people

yellowstone-national-park-bison-hot-spring-grand-prismatic-spring/ Google isn't that hard to use. I also work for the national park service and have plenty of coworkers that have worked for Yellowstone and I have bison in my park.

🟣 "google" that's how you know you're sources aren't credible at all 😂

🟡 I literally have a picture that I took of bison meat in a spring. That's a lot more than zero evidence. Google may not be the best source, what source do you have that says they don't fall in?

I feel like I provided him with a source and he just dismissed it and treated me like an idiot. I'm not super upset or anything, just wondering if I did something wrong that I need to change in the future I guess.

I just made a post on Stardew Valley Expanding sub, and I got some answers over there.

But I'm an artist, and I've been drawing some different art for the portraits and stuff. (I'll include some Haley ones since they're the most recent)

I can program... but I don't exactly like to. Would anyone like to work together on a Stardew mod? They could do some programming and I could do some art?

Or can anyone point me in the right direction to where I would look?

Spring Haley, Summer Haley, and Ginger Island Haley

So recently I've been making lots of Stardew art. Mostly seasonal portraits and stuff. But it got me thinking about how cool it would be to work on a team with people who are making these big mods.

But then I was like 'Do they even have teams???' Just curious how they go about things!

Here's some of my recent art just for fun. Spring outfit, then summer, and then a Ginger island one. I always have messy hair after I swim haha.

Edit: Also how would I go about joining one of these teams?
