Ne dis jamais je taime

Ne dis jamais je taime

One of Befikre's most under rated song was Je Taime, The Cinematography, the singing, the choreography, lyrics everything about this song was just too good to deserve such views. Sunidhi singing in classical Western style then you had Vishal melodious voice OMG. Its a pity such gems which arent remakes dont get the spotlight they deserve compared to crapy remakes. Are the viewers to blame for discouraging creativity by consuming more of crappy remakes or maybe its the fault of music producers not being to connect with the audience. I am really conflicted

African film/seres industry

Hello Guys, Hope you are all well

I realize that the African Film Industry is lagging behind if compared to other film industries. I mean take a look at local TV chanels and you'll see what am talking is true. The most popular film/series are mostly non African ones. You think there will come a day that African film industry will also be able to captivate African audience the same way Non African film industry did ? I yearn for that day to come.

What do you guys think ? Or are my views biased ?

Are they the most successful music band in Algeria or they are more popular internationally than domestically ?

How Popular is Televisa in Mexico ?

Hola Mexicans

I am from Tanzania and here (and overall Anglo-phone Africa region) Televisa Telenovelas (dubbed to English) are considered one of the most successful Mexican cultural export in the 1990s-2010s. Televisa became so popular to the extent that they went to establish TV channels specifically for African region and also the Televisa telenovela craze was so huge such that some people named their kids after their favorite telenovela characters like Marichuy, Maricruz, Valentina et al.

Are Mexicans proud that Televisa has been at the forefront of Mexico cultural export and giving Mexico a good PR globally ? Do you guys feel proud of creating the world largest most successful Hispanic Media like Televisa ?

Thats All

Kenya & Ethiopia share border but on our end, it seems as if there is less interactions btn the two nations. Imagine Kenya that doesnt share a border with DRC yet it always feel as if these countries are more closer than the later. Thats not the main topic

As you heard the economic situation of Kenya isnt good at all. Fuel prices this time are driving people mad. Does the silence mean everything is good on your side ? I mean how are you guys faring off economically ? What do you think we Kenyans are doing wrong that you guys got it right ?

KENYA: THE LAND OF MARTYRS

Kenya a land that sacrificed a lot to achieve the political freedoms that none of her regional neighbors have. After the 2010 constitution I thought it would accelerate Kenya rapid development. But somehow the situation is getting even worse compared to the times when Kenya was under dictatorship. Murders (wether its those in power or opposition) have somehow found their legal way into power through voting, rampant corruption, bogus treaties et al is still persistent like no matter the progress Kenya made I dont know the political class still manages to unleash the worst on its subordinates.

I ask myself why is

1st QN

Kenya which is more free than Saudia, Qatar or UAE still poorer than Saudia, Qatar, UAE ?

On top of that most Kenyans still go to work into those countries that arent as free as Kenya

2nd QN

Were all the sacrifices made still worth it ? Like if we are more free than the mentioned countries we should be an economic powerhouse that is on par with maybe with South Africa or Morocco dont you think so ?

3rd QN

What is wrong with KE ? How do we start to fix it.

Kenyans are inputting more yet receive half the output of the input they put in their nation. This doesnt sit well with me at all

A moment of reflection is needed nationally

I wanted to post this on r/Kenya but I wasnt able to

HELICOPTER EELA

In this film Kajol has a shift from her roles of always hiding behind a popular male actor like SRK or Aamir or whoever it is. An independent woman whose love for her son surpasses everything. At certain times this film felt as if Kajol had over reacted. But to me this is arguably the best of Kajol's performance,

I never understood why it was so under rated or maybe am I the one who has a poor taste of films or maybe I am a feminist ?

PS: Please reply in English as I am a Non Indian who is a fan of Indian Movies

African Entomology

The name Africa originates from ancient Romans who used Africa to identify what is now modern day Tunisia. Then European cartographers eventually applied the word to name the entire continent.

Its high time we stop doubting the African-ness of North Africa. Africa is diverse and its home to ppl of various races. Okay guys ?

DRC's PATRICE LUMUMBA

I saw a post regarding why there is insecurity in DRC, & I also have some questions.

Why is Lumumba not condemned for how DRC turned out today ? He was responsible for ethnic massacres in 1960 in Kasai Region that saw the killing of 3,000 Luba people

And also he was the one who gave Mobutu power, he chose him as his right hand man before he turned against him. Can we also say Lumumba from one way or another is also responsible for how DRC turned out to be today ?

I came across an article that says Swahili's bid to become Africa's language. ( https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-60333796 ). IMO, I think Africa is very diverse and even within the 54 states that exist within it have multiple languages in it. So how can one language want to dominate over others ?This to me sounds like Linguistic Imperialism as you are trying to deny the diversity of African languages. All African languages are beautiful (Be it Niger-Congo, Nilotic, Afro-Asiatic or Austronesian) in their own way and I dont think one language should be given priority over the other at a continental scale.

Even the most succesful union the European Union as an example isnt a union based on language. Its based on creating good infrastructures, easing trade and labour mobility of member states. What are your opinon on this issue ?
