Seeking 2 Co-Founders (1 Technical, 1 Commercial) To Build An NBA Debate App

Hi guys, I’m based in the UK and I’m currently building an app designed for one thing: NBA debate (with the possibility of this expanding out to other sports to become a sporting debate social media platform).

I have long-term experience of being an NBA fan, I’m a strong supporter of the Milwaukee Bucks, I’ve attended NBA House which gave me insight into methods the NBA used to expand their global customer base and I’ve played the game at academy level.

I’ve argued my takes online, only to watch good opinions drown in a comments section within 20 minutes so I can personally say that I’ve identified the gap in the market and many TikTok videos saying similar things confirmed my suspicions.

I’m still at idea/concept stage without a name however I have core differentiating features in place and I have a business plan template that currently has room to consider a GTM plan alongside competitors and market research. What I don’t have is a technical co-founder to help build it or a marketing co-founder to help get the fans in and maximise user retention.

Since funding has not yet been secured, I’ve offering equity in the business so I’m looking for people who are interested in building something like this. For communication purposes and potential travel to give ourselves the best odds, would preferably want a sports fan based in the US/Canada or Europe. Feel free to DM if you want to speak more!

Looking for a Cofounder to build an NBA debate app

Hi guys, I’m based in the UK and currently in the process of planning to build an app designed for one thing: NBA debate. The idea is simple but the mechanics are pretty specific.

Right now this is at an idea/concept stage. Nothing’s been built yet, no name is locked in, and my previous partner had to step back due to time commitments. I’m looking for someone to come in as a real partner, not a hire: this is equity only, no salary, because there isn’t funding sitting behind this yet.

I’m happy to get more into the core features and the wider vision if anybody’s interested. Feel free to comment or DM me and I can share more about it.

Which movie character is the best example of selective empathy?

Hi guys, I’m writing an article on Substack about Selective Empathy Syndrome and I wanted to use a movie character as my example. When I say Selective Empathy Syndrome, I’m taking about the tendency to extend empathy to specific people, groups or causes while overlooking the suffering of others. I was initially going to use Tom Cruise in Collateral but then I realised he didn’t really count (since he didn’t care about Max) so I’m open to any suggestions, they’ll be much appreciated!

Poke Holes In My NBA Business Idea

Hi guys, I currently have an idea that is centered around a platform exclusively for NBA debate. The idea is essentially this:

You posts a hot take, and the whole thing branches out into a proper debate tree instead of getting buried in a comment section after ten minutes.

Based on the hot takes you put out, you build a real reputation over time. Your profile tracks your hot take history, you get a score based on how your takes get rated, and “legacy” status based on how early you joined and on top of that, if a NBA player goes viral for something, the app automatically digs up old takes about them, so you either get props for being ahead of the curve or called out for being wrong.

It’s currently just an idea so I’m just trying to figure out where the possible flaws are and what could separate this from people just posting this on platforms like X or Reddit. All opinions are welcome, especially the brutally honest ones.

Would you date/marry a Christian?

Hi guys, I’m currently speaking to an agnostic family member who was surprised when I said I wouldn’t date/marry a Christian and they said “I can’t say that, you don’t know who you’ll marry.” I personally said I wouldn’t for a variety of reasons but mainly because I wouldn’t marry someone who views life through a drastically different lens (due to them being religious). Now I’m more curious to know if there are more people like the family member I mentioned and if so, why?

Is It Immature Of Me To Not Drink From A Bottle My Dad Put His Lips On?

Hi guys, I’m someone who personally could only seeing themselves ever sharing a drink or food with their romantic partner. However, based on what l’ve heard and seen from other people, I wanted to ask if this is normal or if I’m just weird.

eSIMS for Canada

Hi guys, I hope you’re doing well. I just landed in Canada form the UK and I wanted to ask if there were any reliable eSIMS that provided unlimited data since my usual provider (Vodafone) are charging £8 per day for a capped data plan…

Where Can I Play Indoor Basketball?

Hi guys, I hope you’re all doing well. I’m travelling into Burlington tomorrow from the UK
for a wedding. I’m staying for a week and as someone who played high school basketball and likes to stay to active, I wanted to ask if there are any places in Burlington where I could hoop. I don’t mind travelling a little bit so please don’t feel confined to a specific area. Thanks in advance!

Where Can I Watch The UCL Final In London This Saturday?

Morning guys, I wanted to come on here and ask where could I watch the UCL Final on Saturday? I’m thinking of going to an area with easy access to the Emirates (Central, East or North London) however I don’t want to wake up early (since I don’t live in London) and battle insane queues. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!

I would urge every Arsenal fan to look into what this man has done for us…

As a fan who mainly focused on the football, reading more into depth about what Josh has done for us since he became more hands-on is honestly amazing to see. We never make it to this position without him.

What’s everyone’s opinions on Arteta now?

Hey guys, couple days on and I’m still feeling great about winning the league. I just wanted to ask what does everyone think of Arteta as a manager at the moment? I’m so happy that he was able to get it over the line after so many years, he deserved to win some major silverware for our club.

However, I don’t like some Arsenal fans turning around and saying “Where are the Arteta critics now?” We have to understand that when we look at the money spent, the number of times we’ve finished second, the lower quality of the top teams in the Premier League, the style of football we play and the poor squad rotation, you can’t judge some people for criticising Arteta.

My main message from this is for all the fans to enjoy the celebrations this week, back the club during the UCL Final and move on to next season to defend our title.

Hey guys, I wanted to ask you as Rockets fans, what part of Alpi’s game would he need to develop to become an elite player, is he inconsistent, is his shooting and defense just poor or is he just struggling from being part of a system with limited P&R opportunities?

Hey guys, I’ve been looking at Jabari Smith Jr. stats and in-game play and he seems like a solid player. He has an average TS% on decent volume, defensively he can guard multiple positions, he contributes in the glass and he plays 35 minutes a night on the sixth best defensive team in the league. What about him causes people to call him out?
