I'll never give up on being a friendly Rook
Took a while but finally made contact with a genuinely friendly team a couple nights ago.
Be nicer to Rooks, last night across 3 games I recruited 2-3 rooks who I fed blue shields and valuables. They helped us kill the last team twice and in 2 matches we all survived for final exfil.
UI bug. Both my friends had blue/purple guns but displayed without mods on my screen.
i.redd.itHad a hell of a fight in Dorms, put into a 1v1 after multiple back and forth clutches when finally I got a nice flank to pick off their best guy.
The thief was sitting in that corner making all kinds of noise so I decided to be silly. Turned on prox to say "hey buddy" lmao
Got absolutely flashbanged by double shield breaking. Never once had an issue with it.
I didn't even have great stuff on me, my vault is loaded so whenever im running blue shields its pretty low stakes / extra stuff I had. Not mad, just disoriented lol
By popular demand: My fan made trailer "Boots" without the visualized lyrics (Raw Video)
youtu.beWhen I step into a different room and my duo gets obliterated by 2 misriahs.
We've known eachother for near 15 years. But his ass isn't getting rezzed in that situation (has happened twice now lol) and he understands and would do the same.
Put Ranked and Cryo on a better rotation schedule
I've seen on reddit and heard from a ton of randoms in game that Ranked and Cryo being limited to the weekends/near weekend is not great for the people working full time.
Now I know that cryo is full of loot and there's the issue of oversaturating the economy, so it could even just be 2 days ranked, 1 day cryo, repeat. It would still limit cryo access but make it more available at the same time.
As for ranked being more often, ranked is the dedicated "sweat" playlist. Everyone brings their best gear, so for non-ranked the more casual/new players dont always go against purple 3 stacks.
I noticed especially when ranked was on Outpost last season that non-ranked was way more chill. Fights lasted more than 5 seconds and they were consistently fun across matches, wins and loses.
I also want to play Ranked more often, my vault is pretty loaded and im not good at Cryo (looking forward to the PvE rouge-like mode to help me) so I want to bring my gear into a game that ls worth more than just the loot i can gain. It also kinda sucks bringing in full purple and wiping a lobby of free and green kits.
Almost 0 Sentinel players
Since the start of the season I have ran into maybe a dozen Sentinels. I even tried him but the tactical just feels buns, the ult is nice though, and I've had it used against me which has thrown me off ngl 😅. But usually bc i don't expect a Sentinel.
-most fights are too quick to get use out of more than 1 mine
- his radar is near useless going into a fight
- his passive is hardly noticeable and useless in comparison to the Lock-n-load Destroyer core
- ult is extremely punishing to use if you want to push at all (3 business day activation, can be shot, will get left behind 80% of fights, only a detergent to nades in a specific area, not a counter)
I love being the defender but I've always defaulted to Destroyer bc its easier to defend with than Sentinel AND he has strong push capabilities, and better cores.
If Sentinel is gonna be the "defense specialist" he needs some kind of buff.
I'll be honest, the one thing that is going to attract more players isn't weapons and shells. Its maps
A map can is accessible to ALL players. Versus a new weapon you have to earn/find or a new shell that you dont want to play bc you play a different one.
A map offers new things to see, learn, explore, memorize, etc.
If all we got in one of the next seasons was a brand new map I would be morr than satisfied and it would attract more players than new weapons and shells ever would
This Destroyer skin preview render has a Balistic Knife that isn't in the shop
Interesting, didn't spot it till now
Edited a photo for all my fellow goofballs Rookin' it
Credit still given, on drawing
When the one large chunk of a dead players inventory takes longer than normal to reveal
You know its gonna be good
Farewell Sponsored Survival Narsh. Its been a lot of fun
Edit: YALL I FUCKED UP THE PICTURE. The 16 purple bully smg's with the purple skin on them ARE NOT FROM THIS SEASON. I accidentally added it when putting the collage together and only just now realized.
I love Narsh but holy shit, regular narsh is terrifying, and my vision is also not that great. unless I have my glasses on, (not comfortable with my headphones) plus I play on a TV.
Most of the good stuff was from room keys, barters, and outpost.
But getting to turn off my brain doing solo or doing high coordination with my newbie friends was a blast and really good for their learning experience.
Although the Final exfil spawning 450m away when I have a gold misriah is the most frustrating thing on the planet
Most of my cradle was from Sponsored too, just selling everything that wasn't purple, or gold weapons i dont really like (i had 3 gold Zues' bruh)
this vault is 111 hours value
I know its not true, but every complaint about Sponsored Survival just puts this image in my head
I just find it very strange, like, why do you INSIST that I only play PvP?
what's the reason? cause I KNOW its not "because the loot is too good for no risk" Let us have our fun, the mode goes on rotation soon anyways, so just stop already?
Season to Season: Drastic Meta and progression changes.
I'm a huge fan of how much of a change happened between season 1 and 2.
Making the Misriah more common, the bully more rare, and pistols getting buffed as well as adding new mods and removing old ones, changing faction trees, trades, rewards, amd loot requirements, etc.
I absolutely love this, they said they wanted to nail that season 1 magic where everything felt new again. and holy shit, they absolutely NAILED IT.
I would absolutely want to see this kind of jump again in season 3
Bungie, I had my doubts about s2, but I was so wrong, you guys know how to cook. Keep it up.
