I recently bought a pizza oven. I’m still learning, but I’m pleased with the pizzas we are cooking now.
So far I’ve mainly been using tomato sauce, pepperoni, black olives, mozzarella, and sometimes fresh basil or salami instead of pepperoni.
Our son likes a bianco base, so I use olive oil instead of tomato sauce. He likes ham and pineapple too, which I know can be controversial, but to be fair it actually tastes nice and refreshing.
I don’t want to overcomplicate future pizzas, but I’m looking for some interesting topping ideas.
What are your go-to toppings when you make pizzas at home?
I had some left over potatoes from dinner and turned them into and Omelette for my lunch the following day.
I’m currently on day 33 with no alcohol, after doing some research about alcohol, calories, and how the body deals with alcohol. I read that drinking alcohol even a low amount can encourage fat storage in the body. I'm hoping that by doing this it may help me to reduce unnecessary calories and also help me to shed some fat.
I didn’t stop because I had a drinking problem, but I realised the empty calories were adding up, and it probably wasn’t helping my sleep, recovery or training consistency. I kind of did it as an experiment, and I’ve set myself an 8-week target.
I mainly drank beer or wine. For the last 33 days I’ve been drinking water, a couple of coffees, a protein shake or two, and sometimes a little bit of elderflower or lemon cordial. I’ve never really been into fizzy drinks so I've stayed away from them.
I’m trying to reduce body fat, improve strength, sleep better, and generally feel a bit leaner and healthier. So far, the biggest difference I’ve noticed is better sleep quality and no hangovers. My weight is consistent, but I've been training 3 or 4 days a week for the last few months. It did notice that my trousers feel a bit looser today and had to tighten my belt a bit more :)
Has anybody else tried this and if you have how long for an did it help with fat reduction?

Hi everyone,
I’m a UK business owner and I’ve built a dedicated, feedback-first review platform for businesses that rely on trust and customer reviews. It mainly focuses on Google Reviews and Trustpilot at the moment.
I won’t drop a link here because I don’t want this to come across as spammy.
The Problem I’m Solving
Most businesses have happy customers, but a lot of those happy customers never leave a public review. Sometimes the business forgets to ask, or the timing is wrong. Sometimes the customer means to do it later and forgets.
And sometimes they click through to Google, see a blank review box, and don’t know what to write.
How It Works
Instead of sending customers a blunt “please leave us a review” email, it starts by asking them for private feedback about their experience. From there, customers can still leave a public review if they want to.
The aim isn’t to filter people, fake anything, or game the system. It’s more about creating a better feedback loop so the business gets useful feedback, and genuine customers have an easier route to share their experience publicly.
The “Blank Page” Fix
One of the main things it helps with is the blank page problem. A lot of happy customers are willing to leave a review, but when they get to Google and see an empty box, they either don’t know what to write or put it off until later.
This guides them through a few simple questions first, so they already have the raw material for a proper review in their own words.
Why I’m Posting Here
I’ve got a few businesses using it already in the UK, and the early results have been encouraging enough that some are now paying customers.
Now that the core product is proven, I want to scale the testing. I am specifically looking for 10 more businesses to test this with properly and help me find out which industries it works best for.
Who I Think This Is Best For
My gut feeling is that it could be useful for businesses where trust matters before someone makes an enquiry, booking, or purchase. For example:
Reviews feel more important than ever now. Customers obviously read them, but they also seem to play a bigger role in how businesses are understood across search, maps, and AI-style results.
What I’m offering
I’m looking for 10 business owners who would like to try this properly, ideally from the UK, USA or Canada, or other English-speaking countries as this is the language our system currently uses.
I’d personally help onboard you, set everything up, and work with you to make sure it actually helps your business, rather than just sending you a link to the account registration page.
You would get a free 14-day trial, plus if you decide to keep it after that, I’m offering the first full month to you for just $2 / £1.50 as a thank you for supporting me early and providing feedback. The small charge is mainly there to keep this focused on real businesses who are genuinely interested in trying it properly. After that you would be offered a reasonable ongoing discount rate.
If you want in or have any questions, feel free to DM me.

They take a while to cook, but I think its worth it :)
Hi, I have had this Peace Lily for around two years and for a long time the leaves were dark green and flowers would appear from time to time and it seemed happy with the location (not the same as in this photo) near my bay window in my lounge.
I water it weekly. I try to give it not to much and not to little.
I have a read that the chlorine in tap water can make the leaves turn yellow, so for the last three months i have been collecting rain water and using this, but there has been no improvement and recently two out leaves have turned really bad.
I'd love to help this plant be lush and dark green again.
My next plan was to repot it and give it some new soil, but before I do anything else I thought I'd seek help and advice from other Peace lily owners and fans.
Maybe somebody else here has had similar issues and solved them?
Thanks for any help you can give me and the Peace lily :)
I love a full English cooked breakfast from time to time.
Smoked back bacon
Black pudding
Butchers chipolata sausages
Fried eggs
Baked beans
Mushrooms
Cherry tomatoes
This is the second time trying this as the first time it didn't work out, but this time it turned out just how i hoped. You could just pull it apart with a fork and it was juicy and had a nice subtle smoky flavour. 6 hour cook. Removed at 195f.
Hi All,
I wanted to share my quick easy and very tasty brunch or light dinner.
You don't need many ingredients, but it's full of flavour and a pleasure to eat (if you like mushrooms that is)
I peel and wash an couple of large portobello mushrooms.
Then i use a few sausages from my local butcher. I prefer their herby Cumberland style sausage. I usually using one and a half sausages per mushroom. So three in total for the two mushrooms in the above photo.
Currently I have fresh sage growing in my garden, so i pick some, wash it and chop it finely. I mix the sage and sausage meat in a bowl and form two balls, and then i mould them into more of a patty shape.
In the mean time my oven has been heating up to around 180c.
I then rub the base of the mushrooms in some olive oil and place them in a baking tray. I add the sausage meat and gentle push it into the mushrooms, add some fresh bread crumbs (i usually keep a bag in my freezer. Frozen crumbs work fine for this recipe) and add a fresh sage leave, but that isn't necessary.
If i want to elevate this dish even further then I will fry an egg with a runny yoke and put that on top. A fried egg goes incredibly well with it.
Cooking time in the oven around 25 to 30 minutes (in my oven)
I hope some of you will try this and enjoy it as much as i do!
Many businesses find it challenging to ask customers for Google reviews, or reviews on other platforms, either consistently or at the right time.
I’ve been looking at different Google review management software options, and there seem to be plenty of them, ranging from basic review request tools to expensive enterprise platforms with dozens of features and a price to match. Not that all of them publish their pricing.
I’d be interested to hear from people who have actually used one or more review or reputation management tools to help them ask for and earn more genuine customer reviews.
Which software did you try, what made you choose it, and what were the main pros and cons?
Did it genuinely help you earn more Google reviews, or did it mainly make the process easier to manage?
It would also be useful to know:
• What type of business you run
• Which features you found genuinely useful
• What you felt was missing
• Anything that frustrated you
• Roughly how much you paid
• Whether you still use it today
• Whether it noticeably improved your results
Features such as automated requests, follow-up reminders, private customer feedback and help responding to reviews all sound useful, but I’m interested in what delivers real value in practice.
Recommendations are welcome, although please mention if you own, work for or are affiliated with the product.
Full disclosure: I’ve recently completed an MVP in this space, and a small number of businesses are currently using it. I’d like to learn from people with real experience of these tools rather than relying entirely on desktop research and my own small beta test.
