Just launched my app Read60 on iOS (Android in a couple weeks). The idea: every news story compressed into a 60-word card. I wanted a faster, more efficient way to keep abreast of the news — a minute per story instead of a 2000-word article.

Pulls from multiple sources, original article always linked, no clickbait. Would love honest feedback from fellow builders — what's missing, what would make you open it daily?

Bonjour All,

I am working on a personal project and need a small help in validation of the short summaries from English to French, and I'd really appreciate some honest feedback.

I am especially interested in things that have missed:

• Does the French sound natural and native?
• Does it sound like something you would actually read in a French news?
• Does it feel robotic, overly literal, or AI-generated.
• Are there phrases or word choices that a native speaker would naturally change or use?
• Are the headlines appropriate?
• Are there any translations that are technically correct but just don't say sound right?

You don't need to look at everything. Even if you quickly glance over a few and tell me what sounds good or bad will also work for me.

I am genuinely looking for criticism here (compliments are welcome too, lol). If something sounds awkward, unnatural, or obviously AI-generated, please tell me.

Let me know if you volunteer and I will figure out how DM works on Reddit and share the excel.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, I am planning to do a road trip from Calgary to Banff to Vancouver and back around middle of September? How is the weather at this time of the year for this trip?

I just started to work with open code and it seems the context window for deepseek flash is just 250k in open code when the model. Has 1 million context window.

Can anyone advise how to increase it?

Hey everyone!

We’re currently running an internal test for Read60 a news app designed around one simple idea: every story is exactly sixty words or less with zero noise.

To join the test:

Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/read60_beta_testers

Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.read60.app.read60

Install the game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.read60.app.read60

You need to join the Google Group using the same Google account connected to the Play Store before the installation link will work.

We’d really appreciate any feedback about the app, bugs, performance, or anything that feels confusing.

Thanks for helping us test the app!

Welcome Read60 Testers! 👋

Thank you so much for helping me test Read60—a news app designed around one simple idea: every story is exactly sixty words or less with zero noise.

To ensure your testing counts toward Google Play's production requirements, please complete these three quick steps:

1. Step 1: Ensure you are joined to this Google Group using the exact same Google Account/Gmail you use on your Android phone's Play Store.
2. Step 2: Opt-In on the Web: Click the link below and tap the blue "Become a Tester" button. 👉https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.read60.app.read60
3. Step 3: Download on Android: Use this link to install the app from the Play Store on your phone. 👉https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.read60.app.read60

⚠️ Important: Please keep the app installed on your phone for 14 consecutive days. This is the metric Google tracks for production access!

Feel free to post any bugs, crashes, or feedback directly in this forum. Appreciate your help!

My contract has a very wired and I would say well thought of temporary layoff. I'm the event of no work company has the right to send you on temporary layoff with no severance paid. They can again call you back within 3 months and you have to report on 3 days else you are considered to have quit. Again no severance.

This was added recently after 3 years of service. The discussion was organized around salary increase and during the discussion there was no mention around adding this new temporary layoff clause. Only towards the end another manager said we will be sending you new contract to reflect the new salary you need to sign it and send over.

Is this not deception? And is this even legal? I am not being given severance and temp layoff with the company having the right to call me back within 3 months and I having to rejoin within 3 days else it is deemed that I have voluntarily quit

Any ideas here?

Why do indian managers so ass licking kind? Why do they all think that working 24*7 is the the only way? Why can't they respect personal boundaries? Why is giving leaves so difficult? Can I not take leaves I am entitiled to them. What should I do, die for the company? And then we all suffer and when we bacome managers we do the same? Why can't we let go of being a slave..... Slave to the system to the politicians, to the employers why?

People have committed suicide in big companies like E&Y and many other places? Does anyone care no?

Is minikax doing away with token plan and only moving ahead with credits. This will become expensive!
