Just saying this cuz they’re both island dwelling houses that focus on naval trade. Anyway house Redwyne is superior, house Velaryon is only a major house because they are the Targaryens favorite subjects/pets. House Redwyne makes you guessed it, wine, and have long term economic prosperity where as the velaryons were only particularly rich among the nobles for one generation. Also the current Queen has Redwyne blood, but no Velaryon blood. Anyway that is all.

So I’m of the believe there will be another war of five kings that’s also the second Dance of Dragons, and the sixth blackfyre rebellion. Anyway here are the contenders: Euron Greyjoy, Jon Snow(Aemon Targaryen), Young Griff(Aegon Blackfyre), Daenerys Targaryen, and Stannis Baratheon.

So anyway I came up with this idea, assuming this is what happens, something ends up with these characters having their personalities swapped out with the gang from always sunny. Dany is Dee, Jon is Mac, young Griff is Charlie, Euron is Dennis, and Stannis is Frank.

What happens? Have fun with it

The years is around 272 AC specifically. I’ve posted about this before but I feel Essos is just too empty all around even given the history that it has. You can’t tell me a major empire that lasted thousands of years only left behind a few city states. Or that the supposed cradle of civilization was just wiped out by land pirates and nothing remains.

Some things I’m already including would be:

The seven pointed Valyrian kingdom. Open to other suggestions for the name, but it’s vaguely inspired by the HRE. It is a kingdom that serves as a buffer between Braavos, Pentos, and Norvos, it controls much of what was Andalos, and its basically a semi feudal kingdom of Valyrianized Andals. They follow a polytheistic religion based around seven Valyrian deities that kinda mirror the Seven.

The rhoynish Confederacy. Would be a collection of states of what remains of the Rhoynar. They often attempt to re settle the major cities but it usually fails. They also frequently raid Volantis in an attempt to hopefully drive the Volantine out.

Don’t have names but along the Sarne there are multiple settled Dothraki Khalasars or something similar. They are still a horse centric culture. They just usually stay in one place more. They are often at war with the Andal kingdom.

Something with Mantarys, literally anything, I don’t know what.

Anyway does anyone have more ideas of what could be further east? Or ways to just fill out the map with things happening?

So like I[33F] married this guy[34M] when I was 19. And he like immediately cheated on me. But like divorce wasn’t an option so I just did my best to ignore his son as best I could for the past 14 years. And over all just done what I’m supposed to do. Oh except I may have told him I wish he was dead the other day but it was in a moment of distress.

I don’t mean who is the most evil, I mean who is the most “purely” evil. That is to say there is nothing else to them. Despite claiming to write “morally gray” characters, there certainly are some who are fully evil. My personal opinion is that Gregor Clegane would be the most purely evil. All he does is cause death, destruction, and misery.

The maia don’t step in because it’s a what if do the plan has been adjusted. Its along the lines like this: The Targaryens are meant to conquor gondor because they live shorter lives than the numenorians so the idea is they can hopefully reignite the flame of man leading up until the return of the true king. Figuratively and literally.

So anyway the setting is adjusted like this, in the Bay of Belfalas the islands of Dragonstone, Driftmark, and Claw Isle, can be found. In the year 2941 of the second age, with the death of Smaug, aegons conquest begins.

What do you think this time line looks like?

The title pretty much says it all. What if Balerion the black dread was the one shot down at Hellbolt instead of Meraxes.

I still see this excuse floating around and Joplin Sibtain who played Bold Jon Roxton is more than ten years older than Matt Smith. Like I get it the ages of the actors are not the ages of the characters but I find it quite telling how quick his fans are to make excuses for his defeat. I’ve also seen some saying if Jon didn’t have a Valyrian steel sword he would not have been able to defeat Daemon with Dark Sister

Aight catch up. It’s for a ttrpg, set during the reign of king Aerys before the defiance.

Now I’m not a fan of house Blackwood, at all, they feel like “fanservice” the House, and House Bracken their rivals feel like their only purpose is being their rivals. The only Bracken to serve a purpose in the story beyond their rivalry seems to be Bittersteel and even then it mostly ties into him being Bloodravens rival. Even their cup sizes is made a point in their rivalry. so like I’ll ask if anyone has ideas to develop it specifically around the year 270 ac. The main thing I’m working with would be something like making Stone hedge Edoras and their territory Rohan. But I’m not sure that’s enough. More on the rivalry, I would add the idea of the Blackwoods and Brackens both claiming a Valyrians steel weapon, that would currently be in the possession of the Blackwoods as a result of the last century or so of rebellion caused by a Bracken.

Very specifically Olenna from the show because she’s better. Now set up is Olenna was born during the reign of Jaehaerys and is the mother of Alicent and in kingslanding. How isn’t important I just think this would be funny. Do what would you think happens?

I’m sure this gets asked often but I haven’t seen any so I ask. Provide an outline.

Aight catch up, this is for a ttrpg. It’s kind of a small detail but I think it should be rectified because I don’t get how there are only five cities in a country as large as Westeros. So some would be: Dusken Dale, Maidenpool, Sunspear, Driftmark. I think winterfell just based on its large size could be considered a city, Harrenhall too if it had a large enough permanent population.

Generally I think the Reach should have more but I’m not sure where most would be located. Just based on its population. I also think the crownlands should have more cities just due to geography.

Quick run through, this is for a ttrpg I’m working on, it’s set some time during the reign of King Aerys II before the defiance of Duskendale. Also what I had in the first post, the vale and Dorne have their own sects very different from the rest of the south. The rest of the south have a very loosely defined beliefs with the general outline being defined by the starry sept but there is a somewhat ever growing split between that and the great sept of Baelor. Ok some more ideas I’m working with:

1. historically Dragonstone, Driftmark, and Claw Isle, all have historically had a sizable population who worshipped Valyrian polytheism, this was ended during the reign of Baelor the blessed with a small crusade of sorts. But they still maintain some traditions.

2. the gods eye has a large amount of old gods following tribal communities around it. As does Oldstone.

3. kingslanding has neighborhoods of R’hllor followers(and other faiths but they’re the main ones) even before Thoros or Mel arrived. But they’re not influential.

4. so some context first: I’m working with the idea that in the area that once was Andalos there is a Kingdom of nomadic people of Andal descent who were valyrianized of sorts. Anyway, they would follow a religion based around seven deities from the Valyrian pantheon that have each been loosely assigned one of the seven archetypes of the faith. Now to explain this I’m using Greek gods I’m basing them on to get the point across because I don’t have names yet. Poseidon = the father, Demeter = the mother, Hephaestus = the Smith, Artemis = the maid, Athena = the Crone, Ares = the warrior(duh), and obviously Thanatos = the stranger.

5. some places beyond the wall see Giants as deities. Or embodiments of the old gods.

So I’ve said this before but I’m working on a TTRPG for planetos. For this I’d like to flesh out some religious distinctions for the regions. Some of the ideas I’m working with would be:

1. the Vale worships the seven as “God” rather than “Gods” and similarly they won’t swear to the “old gods and the new”. And just all around have very little if any “pagan” influence.(maybe house Royce would be an exception) basically they follow a completely different sect
2. Dorne would also follow a completely different sect, mainly that they believe the seven to be exactly that, seven gods, not seven aspects of the same god. Also the chief god is the Mother, and believe Mother Rhoyne was just what the Rhoynar called the Mother.
3. the rest of the South do believe the seven to be one god but have more influence of the old gods so they would still talk about them as “gods” and they still have influence from the old gods in many ways. As well as just the history of the first men. I will get to some of that in the next point.
4. while most of the south worships the same sect there would be regional differences. The one I’m mainly thinking of would be the Reach viewing Garth Greenhand as a prophet/patron saint. a guy who represented the Father. And other places would hold local figures from the age of heroes in such regard.
5. so there is also a divide within this sect, that would be the one between Oldtown and the starry sept, and Kingslanding and the Sept of Baelor.
6. so moving on to the old gods. I’m thinking There would still be worshippers of the old gods in the south but Aside from the Blackwoods they would be mostly small tribal societies with forms of communal living.
7. some of the bravest hill clans in the north might make pilgrimages north of the wall during summer.
8. also seven worshippers might make pilgrimages to the axe, by land mostly to travel through Andalos
