Initially starting as a border clash over occupied Belgorod, Krasnodar and Rostov. The Soviet Union declared war. Launching (at first) a limited invasion to liberate the occupied lands.

Arise Our Might Motherland! Arise For The Sacred War! (Opening Phase)

The Second Great Patriotic War.

Ukraine being a member of NATO invoked Article Five calling on the alliance to defend Ukraine from Soviet aggression. And thus began what many feared for so long. A Soviet-NATO War and that quickly escalated into the Third World War

The Armed Forces Of The Soviet Union although caught off guard at first, rapidly re-organized and launched Operation Iskra Nova. The Invasion of the Baltic states and Poland.

The Baltics fell quickly thanks in part due to being unprepared for the sudden war and the powerful Soviet offensive, Poland on the other hand managed to repel the initial soviet advances into Poland.

Ukraine rapidly lost Crimea, Krasnodar, Rostov and Belgorod and was forced to withdraw behind the Dnieper river as the Soviet Army made stunningly quick advances into Ukraine. Soviet Military as quick as they had pushed the Ukrainians back were made to stop the Ukraine offensive thanks to immense supply Issues.

Arise! Arise! Arise! The Chinese Nation Is Facing It's Greatest Threat!

The People's Republic Of China at first neutral decided to join the war to finalize the long awaited plans of capturing Taiwan.

The PRC took advantage of the weakened US presence in the Pacific and launched the invasion of Taiwan. It was a bloody affair as the initial landings succeeded but quickly the invasion turned into a bloodbath.

America and India declared War on China hoping to take out China quickly. Pakistan joined the war against India in hopes of capturing Kashmir.

The Long Game (2033-2039)

A long bloody stalemate ensued for the next 6 years as neither side could gain a decisive advantage over the other in the battlefield.

A situation similar to that of WW1 (Or The Russo-Ukraine war a decade earlier) began to settle in.

Allahu Akbar! For Iran! (2039)

Iran had not been involved in the war for numerous reasons until 2039 for a multiple of reasons but the main one was to wait for NATO to be exhausted from the war and then strike them.

Iran accomplished this by closing the strait of Hormuz (With Soviet And Chinese aid) and only allowing Chinese and Soviet ships to pass the strait. This caused what was effectively a death spiral for the nations of NATO, the EU and USA as their economy already weakened from the long war with China and USSR couldn't handle a Oil shock.

A Collapsing And Hopeless Situation. (2039-2041)

Exploiting gaps within NATO lines. The Soviet Army launched Operation Krasnyy Rassvet. An all or nothing offensive aimed to push NATO out of Europe at all costs no matter what.

At the same time. The PLA and Pakistan achieved breakthroughs against the Indian army. India seeing their situation as hopeless signed the treaty of Islamabad. Giving up all of Kashmir and Ladakh to Pakistan and Arunachal Pradesh to China

NATO weakened from the long stalemate broke. First was Ukraine, then Poland and like a good old domino effect the rest began to follow. Soon enough all of Europe fell into the Hands of Soviet Army .But to the shock of everyone. Turkey left NATO and signed a status quo ante bellum with the USSR

By mid 2040 the last remaining NATO troops evacuated from Portugal and Taiwan.

The population of Ireland and Britain exhausted and angered from the war and the sudden collapse of NATO forces revolted causing civil wars to erupt in the two nations. Taking Advantage of the chaos.

The Soviet Army even though tired and exhausted decided to launch a invasion of Britain And Ireland. Which given the internal chaos of the two was not as hard to accomplish.

"It's The End! The War Has Been Lost!" (September 25th. 2041 )

In the end. USA broke first. After facing a successful Soviet backed communist uprising, a Soviet Invasion of Alaska and a lost fight in the Pacific and increasing domestic pressure to end the war. The United States capitulated and signed The Treaty of San Francisco.

Among the terms. America was forced to recognize it caused WW3. Recognize Hawaii as a independent nation and Alaska as a integral part of the RSFSR.

In addition the treaty disbanded NATO. Forced America to pay large war reparations to Iran, Soviet Union and China. And American withdrawal from the Pacific.

And so we are up to the present.

The American Century is dead and now has been replaced by a Soviet-Chinese led World.

What happens now. Is anyone's guess really...
