🎄👻 THE WAIT IS OVER — ALBINO SMOKY DA GHOST IS OFFICIALLY READY 👻🎄

👻🍄 THE WAIT IS OVER — ALBINO SMOKY DA GHOST 🍄👻
Alright… I’ve kept this one under wraps long enough. 😂
Albino Smoky Da Ghost is officially ready for her introduction.
And judging by this plate, she apparently decided a normal entrance wasn’t good enough. 🔥
The structure and character showing here are exactly why I’ve been so excited to finally share this one with the community. There’s something special about watching a project develop over time and finally reaching the point where you can sit back and appreciate what’s in front of you.
A lot of patience went into this one, and everyone who has been following along knows I’ve been teasing Albino Smoky Da Ghost for a while.
Well… Christmas morning has officially arrived. 🎄🎁👻
No more keeping her hidden. No more sneak peeks.
It’s time to start showing everyone what Albino Smoky Da Ghost is all about.
If sliced bread had mycelium, it might be getting nervous right about now. 😂🔥
Welcome to the spotlight, Albino Smoky Da Ghost.

🍄 My Bag-to-Cake Process — Simple, Clean & Repeatable | FOTG

Figured I’d share a quick step-by-step of how I personally prepare my substrate cakes in bags. This is simply the routine that works for me and helps me keep everything clean, organized, and consistent.
🧼 FIRST — CLEAN WORKSPACE & BAG PREP
Before I start anything, I always clean my work table with isopropyl alcohol. I also spray down the outside of my bags with peroxide prior to opening them. That’s simply part of my personal routine before getting to work.
1️⃣ Break Up the Colonized Grain
I thoroughly break up the colonized grain so there aren’t any large clumps remaining.
2️⃣ Mix the Grain & Substrate
Next, I combine everything and give the bag a really thorough mix, working toward an even distribution throughout the substrate.
3️⃣ Form the Cake
Once everything is mixed, I shape it into a nice, flat, even cake. I like keeping the surface and edges as uniform as possible.
4️⃣ Fold & Clip
I straighten out the bag, fold the top over twice, and secure it with clips. Simple, clean, and keeps everything where I want it.
5️⃣ Add the Rubber Band
I place a rubber band around the bag roughly ½–1 inch below the substrate line and make sure everything stays snug and properly shaped.
6️⃣ LABEL YOUR BAG! 😂
Culture name, date, or whatever information you use to keep your projects organized—write it down.
I’ve made the mistake of thinking, “I’ll remember which one this is.”
I did not remember. 😂
That’s pretty much it. Take your time, stay organized, and find a process you can repeat consistently.
I’ve done it. You will too. Enjoy the process. 🍄

Rishi & Blue Oyster — TWO DAYS on Agar and Already Trying to Eat the Lid 🤯🍄

Two different species, same attitude. 😂
Rishi and Blue Oyster, both put to agar just two days ago, and the amount of movement already showing on these plates is absolutely insane.
That dense white expansion and the way they’re pushing outward already caught me completely off guard. The Blue Oyster especially looks like it has somewhere to be — damn near trying to eat the lid of the plate. 😂
This is exactly why I love documenting this stuff. Sometimes you put something to a plate expecting to check back in a few days…and 48 hours later it’s basically screaming, “I’M READY.”
Definitely keeping an eye on both of these. If this is what they’re showing after only two days, I’m excited to see what they look like as the plates continue developing.

🌾 More Fresh Grain — Keeping the Work Moving 🌾

Another cart loaded up with fresh grain and another day of putting in the work. 🍄🌾
There’s something satisfying about getting everything stocked, organized, and ready for what’s next. It might not be the flashy side of the hobby, but this behind-the-scenes preparation is a huge part of the process—and I genuinely enjoy it.
Plenty of brown rice on deck. FOTG stays busy. 💪🍄

🔥 FOTG Shakti ISO — This Plate Is Looking Sexy as Hell 🔥

Had to stop and appreciate this FOTG Shakti ISO for a minute because this plate is absolutely gorgeous. 🍄
The structure coming off this culture is what caught my eye immediately—bright white, defined, and spreading across the plate with some seriously beautiful symmetry. That feathered pattern around the outer edge almost looks like artwork.
This is one of those plates where you find yourself staring at all the little details. The texture, structure, and contrast against the agar make this Shakti a straight-up showcase piece.
Sometimes the culture itself deserves the spotlight. Shakti understood the assignment. 🔥🧬

New Lab Table Just Landed — Things Just Got a Whole Lot Better 🔬🔥

Been wanting to upgrade the workspace for a while, and today was finally the day. New stainless steel lab table just landed, and things are about to get a whole lot better around here. 🔬🔥
More room, a cleaner setup, better organization, and finally enough space to spread everything out without playing Tetris every time I’m at the bench. 😂
Little by little, this space has been coming together. I’ve always believed the small improvements matter just as much as the big ones. Better organization, attention to detail, patience, and consistency—it all becomes part of the process.
This table might just look like another piece of equipment, but for me it represents another step forward in building the workspace I’ve wanted.
Now it’s time to put this beast together and get everything dialed in. 💪

Smokey Da Ghost ×2 & Steel Magnolia — That Aqua Plate Is Beautiful 👻🩵

Had to put these three together because they’re each showing off in their own way.
The two Smokey Da Ghost plates are looking beautiful. I really like the different personalities between them—the growth has that flowing, almost feathered appearance with some gorgeous definition reaching outward across the plates.
Then there’s Steel Magnolia. 🔥 That aqua-colored plate paired with the bright white growth is just ridiculous. The contrast makes every little strand and branching pattern pop. It almost looks like frost spreading across blue glass.
This is exactly why I enjoy documenting plates. Sometimes you get one where the structure, symmetry, texture, and color all come together and turn something simple into a piece of art.

Three plates. Three completely different looks. All beautiful in their own way.

Green Toque × Universal Seven — This Plate Is Absolutely Dialed In 🔥🍄

Had to share this one. Green Toque × Universal Seven (GT × 7) is putting on a seriously impressive display.
The plate has developed a beautiful radial pattern with strong, defined growth reaching almost perfectly from the center to the outer edge. What really catches my eye is the symmetry—those long, clean lines give the entire plate an almost sunburst appearance.
Crosses are always interesting because you never really know what characteristics are going to show themselves. For now, I’m just documenting what I’m seeing and enjoying how this one is developing.
Definitely one of those plates you stop and stare at for a minute. 🔬🍄
Green Toque × Universal Seven
Two names coming together—and already giving me something worth documenting.

🍄 FOTG Genetics Master List — The Collection Keeps Growing 🍄

Finally got the FOTG Genetics collection organized into one clean master list.
This isn’t meant to be an availability sheet or a release menu—it’s mainly a professional way for me to document, organize, and keep track of everything currently in the FOTG library as the collection continues to grow.
A few names on here are familiar, a few are personal projects, and some are still being documented. Not everything shown on this list is able to be released or shared at this time, so please don’t take inclusion on the list as meaning it’s currently available.
More than anything, I wanted one place that shows how much work, time, collaboration, and collecting has gone into building FOTG since 2021. Seeing 77 entries together like this definitely puts the journey into perspective.
Still plenty more to come. 🍄⚔️

Your Questions Have Been Heard 👀 | The LC Lineup

Been getting quite a few questions about the LC jars lately, so I figured it was time to put the full lineup in one shot.
A lot of hours go into keeping everything organized, clean, documented, and consistent. Seeing the whole collection together definitely makes all that behind-the-scenes work hit a little different.
No fancy backdrop needed—the jars speak for themselves. 🧪
FOTG Genetics I really been thinking hard about releasing some of the genetics that I’ve been gatekeeping and putting them on LC. How many takers would I have if I did that when is legacy and the other is albino smoky the ghost? Let me know what you think!?

🎨 When Mycology Decides to Become Artwork 🍄

These two plates were way too beautiful not to photograph and share.
Completely different presentations, but both have that incredible natural symmetry and structure that makes mycology feel as much like art as science. The first has this tight, almost feathered pattern wrapping around the center, while the second absolutely explodes outward with long, flowing radial lines.
Sometimes you just stop looking at a specimen like a project and appreciate what’s sitting in front of you. Nature has a way of creating patterns no artist could perfectly duplicate.
Two plates. Two personalities. Straight-up fungal artwork. 🔬🍄

🌾 Fresh Grain Day — Another Batch Ready to Get Bagged Up

Nothing complicated today—just a fresh batch of grain looking clean, hydrated, and ready to get bagged up. 🌾🍄
I’ve been putting a lot of time into getting my prep consistent from batch to batch, and there’s something satisfying about seeing a full run come together like this.
Figured I’d share it with the community because I know I’m not the only one who appreciates a good grain-prep photo. 😂 Always enjoy seeing what everyone else is working on too.
Another productive day at FOTG. 🤘

Snowdrop Update | Fresh Clones, One More Run, and a Few Extras for Future Orders 🍄

A little Snowdrop update for everyone following this project.
After harvesting, I was honestly surprised by how much life was still left in the block. It was still dense, healthy, and seemed like it had plenty of energy remaining, so I decided to rehydrate it and move it into a tub to give it more fresh air and see what it wanted to do next.
The fruits that were already there have started drying out, but that’s okay—the main goal now is to see if the block has another chapter left in it.
I also took tissue samples from the largest fruits, along with the unique lone fruit that stood out from the rest. It’ll be interesting to see what those selections look like when they’re documented again down the road. That’s one of my favorite parts of these projects—seeing how different selections express themselves over time.
A few of these are also headed to the dehydrator. They smell incredible, have a really unique look, and I think they’ll make a fun surprise to include as extras in a few future orders.
Thanks to everyone who’s been following along, offering feedback, and enjoying these updates. I appreciate all of the support and look forward to sharing how the next round turns out. 🍄

50-Gallon Drum Loaded Up — Field Capacity Looking Right 👌🍄

Nothing fancy, just another big batch coming together the way it’s supposed to.
The 50-gallon drum is loaded, moisture is sitting right at field capacity, and the texture and consistency came out exactly where I wanted them. There’s something satisfying about seeing a full batch come together after putting the time into getting everything uniform.
I’ve been working hard on keeping every batch as consistent as possible, and this one definitely passed the squeeze test.
For anyone who has been asking, fresh substrate is ready to order.
Appreciate everybody who continues to follow along and support what I’m doing with FOTG. More work going on behind the scenes every day.

Starting Some New Mono × Mono Projects — Which Pairing Would You Be Most Excited to Follow?

Spent some time at the bench today getting ready to start a few new mono × mono projects. This is one of my favorite parts of working with these collections—carefully documenting different pairings and seeing what unique characteristics may emerge over time.
The two projects I’m especially looking forward to following are:
🌊 TidalWave × Albino Smokey Da 👻** **
🐒 Emerald Gates Space Monkey × Green Toque 🍃
One of the things I enjoy most is the journey itself. Every project has its own story, and watching those stories unfold over time is what keeps me passionate about this hobby. I’ll be documenting the progress as these develop and sharing updates along the way.
I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
If you had to pick one of these two pairings to follow from beginning to end, which would you choose and why?
I genuinely appreciate all the support, advice, and knowledge this community continues to share. It’s helped me improve more than I can say, and I’m excited to see where these projects go next.

Behind the Process | Fresh Grain & CVG Prepared with Consistency

One of the questions I get asked most often is how I approach preparing grain and CVG.
For me, consistency starts long before anything is packaged. Every batch is prepared with the same attention to detail, using quality ingredients and a repeatable process that I’ve continued to refine over time.
Rather than preparing large quantities that sit for extended periods, I prefer to prepare batches fresh as they’re needed whenever possible. It takes more time, but I believe that approach allows me to maintain the level of consistency and care that I expect from my own work.
This graphic is simply a look behind the scenes at the setup and process I’ve been building at Fruit of the Gods Genetics. I appreciate everyone in this community who has shared ideas, feedback, and encouragement along the way. Your support has helped shape FOTG into what it is today.
As always, I’m continuing to learn, improve, and refine the process. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Snowdrop ❄️ | Some of the Wildest Morphology We’ve Seen Yet [actives]

Snowdrop continues to surprise us.
This culture has been producing some incredibly unusual forms, with thick, sculpted tissue, deep cracking patterns, and folds that almost resemble carved stone or coral. Every section of the block seems to develop its own personality, making it one of the more interesting projects we’ve documented.
These photos were taken to capture the different textures and structures that appeared throughout this round. The variety across a single block has made it a fascinating one to follow from start to finish.
One of the things we enjoy most is watching how different expressions can emerge over time. Every round has the potential to reveal something unexpected, and Snowdrop has definitely lived up to its name by keeping us guessing.
What catches your eye the most—the cracked “mosaic” appearance, the coral-like formations, or the dense clusters of tiny knots across the surface?
Always interested in hearing what the community notices first. 🍄

FOTG Plate Spotlight | Clean, Vigorous Mycelial Growth 🍄

One of today’s plates showing off some beautiful, even radial growth. The leading edge is reaching cleanly across the agar with a dense center that transitions into a finely textured outer margin. I always enjoy watching the different growth patterns each culture develops over time—every plate has its own character.
This one has been fun to document from transfer to full colonization, and it’s always satisfying to see healthy, consistent progression like this.
Appreciate everyone in this community who shares knowledge, feedback, and observations—it pushes all of us to pay closer attention to the details.
