This is just a sketch for now probably going to redraw him but I’ve never even drawn a beetlewing before so this is a first.

I imagine they would be a little leaner and have more armor than silkwings.

I wasnt sure if I should make her a more vibrant green? I tried to put little spikes on her to make it look like bug legs👍👍👍

A lot of ppl compare animal hospitals style with animal crossing and I kinda hope they lean into that for some reason. Even if they did that intentionally or not.

I feel like it would be cool to see heights and somewhat different body types for characters maybe. I just hope if they would lean into that more but not to the point where they would be copyrighted by Nintendo lol.

Either way I think animal crossing is good inspo/ref for making animal hospital ocs and I want to see ppl do that->>> W like all the different species.

I haven’t done a lot of art lately bc I’ve been kinda stressed but I hope I can get back into it.

I’ve been writing her for a while and will still make edits to her but I’m trying to make sure she’s accurate to the actual mythology.

Please give constructive criticism.

Name: Inaho 

Age: 1,000+ (9 tails)

Appearance: (Zenko) A majestic nine-tailed fox with fur of stark, snowy white. Her tails and ears are tipped with a cream-yellow that has a distinct greenish edge, resembling unripened rice. She has a forehead marking thats angular. When spread out, her tails resemble a bundle of rice stalks.

In her human form, she appears as a haughty noblewoman. She wears a key around her neck-most likely for grain storage.

Backstory: Born into a  lineage of celestial kitsune, she has spent centuries as a servant of Inari. She grants farming luck to humans. However, her inability to reach "Golden" wisdom stems from her pride and her deep-seated shame over her son, a destructive Yako who burns the fields she protects. (He was originally born a Zenko but became a yako?))

Other than that I would see her as a bat.

I wanted to make her look spiky and stuff. When it came to me drawing her jewelry (2nd photo)) I think it just made it look cluttered and it didn’t turn out that well. But anyways I hade fun drawing her. :))
