I have a free webinar coming up but as you know, free courses are one and done kinda thing. I’m inevitably gonna start buying classes in person. But right now online is best for my busy schedule. So after using uo my free resources, would u recommend second city? Any other good classes?

My goal: to write for tv and sketch. I currently write short films which do get produced but it’s more talent and knack for storytelling than a honed craft ya know? Anyway I’m all ears.

Notes for reference: Second city is $345 - 7 weeks,
I live on the east coast, closest improv theater to me is Philly about 2.5 hours away and I’m free usually on weekends.

I need to write and produce theme song for a production company. I’m sure plenty of ppl will apply for the same slot I am (because it’s not private that this series needs a theme song) but I have to try anyway.

Looking for someone experienced as this has to be played every episode and cannot afford anyone without proper training, experience or quality recording equipment and knowledge to record. (Or access to a studio)

Just vocals is requested but I’m open to suggestions.

Compensation will be determined by production company, not me.

It’s about a dead end job and teens just making it through the day balancing the weight of becoming adults and staying true to themselves and sticking together. And they want it to sound like such. Chaos, stress and heart of teenage life, youthful, emotionally honest, memorable and cinematic. Approximately 1:30.

I think I’m gonna go the 2000s pop rock, something kinda laid back. Also thinking a male voice might fit that but all the best shows in 2000s about teens were sang by woman so I’ll probably play off of that. I would like to hear samples of anyone interested before we discuss any further tho. DM me here for my contact info

Just working my dusty ass job, no plans to up and quit. Well I will, but not today. It got me thinking about those in all mediums of writing (particularly screenwriting), and the moment they made the leap of faith.

I’m not asking when did u have enough money or when did you get “good enough”. I want to know when you knew based on your environment, your network of ppl you knew, your general output of work, the hours you’ve practiced etc. When did you go “ya know… it might be that time. Nothings guaranteed but these signs point to me putting myself in a new environment with new faces to really make this thing work.

I feel it now kinda but I know I’m not there yet. I have no support system to help me with this kind of thing. Give your words of wisdom to a small town boy🔮🧙‍♂️

Saw someone blame editing for dwelling on a segment too long but who chose the segment? Producers… Bailey… lol. They’ve been good before it’s just crazy and confusing that Confessions of ALL story subs were so disappointingly PG and didn’t feel like confessions at all

This has happened before. Can’t text or call anyone unless you have an iPhone which is only thanks to apples iMessage and FT audio. Before I would turn my phone off then back on and receive a flood of texts from android numbers. Now though, that doesn’t even happen and I’m just shit outta luck. And my phone is updated. Also at work watching a video it would just buffer for like 5 min.

Essentially looks to me like my data straight up doesn’t work. Which is unlimited btw…

I’ve missed out on someone trying to reach out to give me food after a 12 hour shift and not being able to borrow a car for errands. All in 12 hours lol. I hate straight talk. All these posts about Customer service, and thinking about my own experience makes me wanna not bother and look into cricket. I’ve heard better things about them anyway.

Anyone else have this issue?
