Does enlisting with a bachelors automatically make you a Specialist?

If so, doesn’t that create problems when you’re put into a higher responsibility role with no prior experience? I’m asking specifically with an Option 40 contract in mind. Do they automatically become a Specialist in the 75th or do they remain a low rank until they go to Ranger school which would then promote them after completion?

Are US Army 11C’s going to be trained to use FPV drones?

Also, how will FPV systems be implemented in the Army and USMC in general? Will the drones be plentiful or will the military learn the hard way how important drone warfare is now

Community college to military to university

I’m still in high school and am wondering if going to community college followed by 4 years (or maybe more) of the military to hopefully only 2 years of uni is a good and legit path. I’m curious about this path because my parents really do not want me to go to the military right after high school (especially not right now) and want me to go to college instead. This path will give me some education and time to think and once I graduate from community college I can think if I want to continue to pursue an education or enlist. My main concern is whether or not my education from community college will transfer to a university. I don’t want to go to 2 years of community college, join the military, and then go to uni for 4 years as opposed to 2. I’m not sure exactly how the transfer process works and if there’s a time limit or anything so could you please give me some insight on this idea?

My parents are terrified of me enlisting out of high school but it’s something I want to do

For context both my parents are surgeons who went to college. They want me to go to college first and then think about the military, hopefully as an officer. I’d like to enlist and do something like the infantry because I’m a wrestler in high school and like the grind/challenging paths. My parents are trying to set up all sorts of college programs and visits for me to go but I don’t know how/when I should tell them I have different ideas. They also may lose it if they hear I’m interested in the infantry since they have only seen the movies and think being a grunt is a death sentence. With ongoing conflicts and some of the soldiers killed recently they are especially afraid of me joining now. What should I do?

RASP weight lifting

Should weight lifting in preparation for RASP be more endurance focused with something like 20+ reps? Currently following a plan by Jake Zweig and his program goes from 8 reps to 5 to 3 and eventually resets. Sure this will get me strong but will it mean I burn out quicker during a smoke session? Should I transition to moderately heavy weight for more reps?

How do you build your knees to be strong enough to jog/trot a ruck and how much time does it take?

I tried to trot on my rucks (new to rucking) and after a few days my knee swelled up so I took a break. I know people do it and I’m assuming it’s because their knees got strong enough over time. What should I do to reach that level? Will simply walking with my ruck over time make my knees strong enough to trot?

What’s going on for the Rangers who need to go to Ranger school?

Edit for vagueness: Ranger school is currently dropping many people because it’s full/broke. This means people are struggling to get in and people who are in are dropped very quickly. I’m asking what will happen to the Rangers who need to go to Ranger school while these issues are ongoing. Are they unable to get in, are they randomly dropped, if they are dropped are they now kicked out of the 75th?

Is my friend juice?

He’s 16 and says he’s been training seriously for about a year. He’s 5’11. There are a couple of people using steroids in our school so maybe he could get some but I’m not sure. What do you guys think

Enlisted soldiers, did you get shamed for letting people know the path you would take?

I’m in high school and want to join the military but keep it on the down low because every time I talk about it I get backlash and questioned as to why I’d want go in the army. Some outright say I’m wrong and to only go in as an officer, especially my family. I don’t even say my aspirations which is the infantry and I’d most likely want to attend RASP because they’d either shoot it down or not relate at all. Currently running, rucking, lifting, and wrestling to prepare my mind and body. Did anyone else face backlash for big dreams like this or joining the army as a whole?
