Good Restaurant

We are going to be on Raro mid August and will be there for a big birthday (only two of us). Looking for a really nice place to celebrate (emphasis on the food). Staying Arorangi, but will have a car, so not worried where it is. Thanks.

Not what you want to see ...

Pair of foxes, game as, in middle of the day. Crossing Reid's Creek just below Beechworth. Healthy looking, unfortunately ...

New old baskets

Am I over thinking it and wrong in wondering in W/W's have listened to complaints about baskets handles?

I've noticed stores now have a number of baskets with two smaller handles that can be carried like the old ones, so you don't take out fellow customers if you've got the basket under the crook of one elbow. They are definitely the newer style basket, just much easier to carry around.

Wondering what it is?

Seen in Nthn Vic (Myrtleford). Seemed to be feeding while moving up the trunk. Not something I've seen before and my bird apps best suggestion was a White Throated Treecreeper, but the pictures didn't quite match what I saw.

Land Yabby?

Seen on the side of Mt Bogon (Nthn Vic). Long way from any water - maybe 2km from a stream and halfway up the hill. I was once told by a fellow hiker that some holes in a track were from land Yabbies. Never seen one before, so I'm wondering if this is the mythical creature? He was dead unfortunately. About 2 inches long.

Spider Id

Seen in Warby Ranges (Nthn Vic) today. Sorry of looks like what we used to call 'house spiders' that lived under the house, but this was in the bush.

Port Melbourne Nostalgia

Nice seeing the (new) Spirit of Tasmania back at Princes Pier. I don't miss the traffic, but it was always nice seeing the rhythm of the departures and arrivals when they still left from here.
