Any Anime’s that are Christian themed or where one of the characters identifies as Christian? If so please share your thoughts and Anime names.

I’m looking into this Sumore CNC milling machine for a potential small/garage shop. Nothing big or grand, just a side hustle outside of work.

From what I’ve seen, they seem to be around the $7,000–$8,000 range, depending on options like a 4th axis and other extras.

Has anyone here used, owned, or worked with one of these machines? Or know someone who has?
I’d be interested in hearing any firsthand experiences or opinions—good, bad, or otherwise.

How do you think they compare to other machines in that price range?

Just trying to get a better idea of what these are actually like in the real world before considering one.

I and my wife are both Christians and have been for most of our lives. I recently started attending SDA services, not consistently every Sabbath but on and off. It’s been that way mostly because she does not want me to be an SDA as she staunchly believes it’s a cultish very legalistic church.

It can tell when I ask her if I can go it bothers her so eventually this will wash over into our marriage if it hasn’t quietly already.

How should I navigate this situation?

Can a Christian firmly oppose and hate the sin while still loving and showing compassion toward the sinner?

I’ve been machining for 5 years and have consistently earned promotions and raises—starting as a button pusher at $17.00/hour and working my way up to $27.50/hour Setting-Up machines with no formal education.

Many U.S. manufacturers have CNC machines sitting idle because they can’t find enough skilled machinists. As manufacturing continues to reshore, demand is only growing.

I was raised in a Methodist church but due to theological shifts my parents decided to change to a non-denominational church that leans towards the evangelicals. I have in my teen and adult life always identified as an evangelical but after seeing how politics can override scripture I’ve been searching for a new denomination to identify with.

I’ve spoke with Mormons (I know not Christian), JWs (Not Christian depending on who you speak with), and SDA. Today I went to my first SDA service after having discussions with the pastor there. I have compared scripture in its context to the SDA main beliefs and have found practically no major contradictions. So I have begun to increasingly call myself SDA. Not a member yet but definitely considering.

What had lead you to identify with a denomination or not?

In my hunt for a decent desktop CNC lathe I came across the one from SineCore, they are relatively new only started selling a year ago if I’m not mistaken. It has a tool probe, coolant, live tooling, and so on. The price is under 12k and is currently on sale.

Has anyone here bought and or used this desktop lathe model before? If so would you recommend it for a hobbyist/small garage shop? How well does it actually hold tolerances??

I now see why the SDA and other denominations like the Seventh Day Baptists are adamant about observing the seventh day and hold it as a pillar in their doctrine.

In verse 16 it specifically states that the sons of Israel are to observe it in a perpetual covenant.

So my question is, are we gentiles apart of this covenant even though it was given specifically for those of Israel?? Is the covenant though perpetual still in effect with the consequences of not upholding it (state before verse 16) post new covenant with Christ?

Has anyone found any success getting federal government contracts using the website SAM.gov? It appears to be similar to how Xometry and TreatStock operate.

I work at a factory as it’s only Machinist operating and programming their first CNC Router. The owner is obsessed with automation, even if it’s AI assisted.

What Fusion 360 compatible softwares automatically nest parts in CAD and also help assist speed up tool pathing in CAM?

I’ve been window shopping Desktop CNC Mills lately and was wondering if anyone here has a preferred machine model? Personally I keep finding myself back to the Sherline Accupro CNC Mill as it seems to have the most cutting space and rigidity for cutting harder metals compared to other desktop CNC mills.
