After the elections, I keep seeing people on the left giving up on Florida and treating it as about as red as a state can get, almost like a Republican fortress.

Some explain this by pointing to Cuban and Venezuelan communities, other immigrants with strong anti communist backgrounds and retirees from blue states.

Do you agree that Florida is now firmly red? Do you feel this in everyday life? Is there barely any meaningful left wing presence left, or is that an exaggerated online picture of Florida?

I have always been extremely lazy, and it affects almost every part of my life.

I have a job and a diploma in computer science, but I got through both mostly by doing the bare minimum. I almost did not finish my diploma because I rarely paid attention, procrastinated constantly, and left everything until the last moment.

I am the same at work. I put things off until I have no choice, then rush through them. Sometimes the quality suffers and I get criticized for it. I know I am capable of doing better, but I still keep repeating the same pattern.

It happens outside of work too. I put off cleaning, chores, basic responsibilities, and things I know need to be done. I have tried routines, productivity methods, motivation tricks, and forcing myself to be disciplined, but sooner or later I go back to the same habits.

It has affected dating too. I struggle with commitment and consistently putting effort into relationships.

For men who used to be genuinely lazy like this, what actually helped you change? What practical things helped you stop procrastinating and start putting consistent effort into your life? What would you recommend I actually do differently?

أدري إن 2034 باقي عليها وقت طويل، لكن بصراحة أنا كعربي ومسلم مو متحمس لها مرة.

إلى الآن أنا منقهر من المعاملة اللي تعرضت لها قطر في كأس العالم 2022. قطر نظمت بطولة خرافية، ملاعب ممتازة، تنظيم قوي، خدمات رائعة، وأجواء جميلة. ومع كذا الإعلام الغربي هاجم كل شيء تقريباً، حتى سالفة إن الناس ما كانوا يسكرون في الشوارع صارت عليها ضجة.

وأحس إن السعودية بتتعرض لهجوم أكبر ومعايير مزدوجة أكثر. بعد اللي صار مع قطر، صراحة مو مستعد أشوف دولة عربية ثانية تمر بنفس التجربة.

Je suis immigré en France et je vis ici depuis cinq ou six ans. Pendant cette période j ai étudié et travaillé. J ai rencontré toutes sortes de Français. J ai aussi voyagé dans beaucoup de régions du pays.

Un des pires clichés que j ai vus et que je vois encore parfois est que les Français sentiraient mauvais. Personnellement je n ai jamais vécu cela. Peut être avec certaines personnes âgées mais cela me semble être un cas particulier.

Dans un contexte normal. En classe. Au travail. Dans les transports. Dans la vie quotidienne. Je n ai jamais eu cette impression. Mon expérience est plutôt que les gens font attention à eux comme partout ailleurs.

D où vient cette réputation?

Siempre tuve la imagen de Argentina como un país acogedor, abierto a otras culturas y con curiosidad por el resto del mundo.

Pero siguiendo el Mundial, vi en Twitter publicaciones muy feas sobre otros países y grupos de personas. Sé que Twitter no representa a todo un país, y que muchas veces amplifica las peores voces. Pero me llamó la atención que algunos de esos posts tuvieran muchos likes, y que incluso algunas personas conocidas interactuaran con ellos o parecieran validarlos.

Esto también parece estar generando un rechazo feo contra Argentina como país, con generalizaciones injustas. Me preocupa que este tipo de ciclo online pueda dañar la imagen de un país, especialmente en un momento ya difícil.

Entonces quería preguntarles honestamente: ¿sienten que algo está cambiando en la sociedad argentina? ¿La política, la crisis económica o el clima actual están afectando la forma en que algunos argentinos ven a otros países, culturas o grupos étnicos? ¿Hay una identificación más fuerte con Europa o Estados Unidos que con el resto de Latinoamérica, o eso es una exageración de las redes?
