27" 4K G80SH for ~ $700 plus free Buds4 Pro is pretty wild deal

27" 4K G80SH for ~ $700 plus free Buds4 Pro is pretty wild deal

Wanted a 4K OLED and the G80SH deal sealed it. Corporate/edu discount + free Buds4 Pro = about $500 in added value. Way better than the 2025 G81SF since that one doesn’t include freebies.

Would have loved to grab 27" 4K RGB stripe woled but those are not available yet from Asus, plus price is probably gonna be close to $1K.

Samsung gives you a free G7 G70D when you get 32" 4k OLED M90SF

This is a wild deal. Thought I'd share if anyone is looking for 4k OLED with smart features. Must have edu / epp account to qualify for $899 price for M90SF otherwise $1599.

$300 for 360hz QHD OLED panel

Samsung did let me stack multiple deals together - instant savings, workplace discount and bundle discount. I could not say no. Essentially $300 with points included.

Edit: if you have edu / employer discount with Samsung, it should cost you $400 (plus points) without any bundle. Still AMAZING deal for this type of panel. They currently go for $700 at Best Buy / Microcenter. And before you start hating on Samsung, this particular panel scored 9.2 on rtings. 360hz should be more than enough for 99% of folks out there for years to come.

Samsung 27" 4k 4th gen QD OLED panel for $700

G81SF for ~$700 is probably one of the best deals out there if you are looking for a 4k OLED panel. There is plenty of hate on Samsung out there but their rewards program is unmatched. You get a massive discount for EPP / student account(s), plus on top they are giving you almost $90 back in points for platinum level (or less for lower tier) since this is Samsung week at the moment. The closest competition from MSI, Asus will cost you $900-1000.

Everything looks so "shiny" and glossy after 8.5 dropped

Am I the only one who strongly dislikes 8.5 UI changes? I feel like the contrast was increased and in dark mode it creates blacks that look unnatural. Since contrast is higher I feel like there is some type of "shine" or "gloss" applied to all UI elements. It looks absolutely ugly and unnatural imo.

Edit: also what's up with that overly dark background for notifications when quick panel is expanded. They overdid it big time there too.

Samsung’s 4th‑Gen penta‑tandem QD‑OLED panels drop on May 19th

Samsung gets plenty of hate here, but their EPP / first responder deals are honestly unmatched. If I can land a 4th‑gen QD‑OLED 27" or 32" 4K for $750–800 (including the $50 reservation credit), I’m smashing that buy button so hard..

If you’ve got Samsung EPP or student access, keep an eye on May 19th. No need to drop $1100-1200 on a PG32UCDM3 when it’s essentially the same panel wearing Asus hoodie with gloss.

Fully prepared for the ASUS glossy fanboy brigade to downvote me into dust for this post 😂

Stay patient, grasshoppers

I absolutely love the idea of a 39" 5K2K OLED, but there’s no timeline where I’m handing over even $1,457.99 for the 39GX950B.

Yeah yeah, the screenshot is from the partner store, but still…

Call me delusional, but give it a few months and this majestic OLED slab is gonna slide into the $1200–1300 zone. And if not, the holiday sales will finish the job.

Stay patient, young grasshoppers — the OLED gods reward those who wait.

Edit: to clarify, currently via LG partner store you get a regular 10% discount (first responders, nurses, military) and extra 10% via MEMORIAL10 promo code. It's not a bad deal honestly if you need a monitor now.

So I was looking for some used OLED monitors out there and people on FB marketplace think that they own gold lol, hoping to recoup 80-90% of the original amount spent.

Trying to understand dynamics here. Is this mostly greed or used OLEDs in nice condition tend to hold a value very well. I mean at the end of the day it's a used monitor. I'd rather spend an extra $100-150 and get a new one unless you give me like 30-40% off at least

I've always wanted OLED but 4k 32" QD OLEDs are outside of my price range. Sucks to be broke 😂

Do you think this is a good "bridge" monitor while trying to save some money down the road for QD-OLED panel (hopefully with RGB stripe)? Upgrading primarily for gaming. I just need somewhat decent blacks and HDR. This puppy has almost 1200 dimming zones.

Samsung gives you a pretty hefty discount for these at the moment, if you are a student or have an employee discount with them.
