Tags before barcodes

From what appears to be a discount store, but can't find any records of it. Tags were from 3 different vests from the 90's. Owner never took the tags off. I could not imagine having to hand key multiple items.

Google says flapper dress

I don't know if I agree with Google. I could see it being 1920s, but that's a guess. It's definitely old, looks handmade except for the fact that the seam allowance is branded with a pattern that does not appear on the dress. It looks like it says Skinners (in the seam allowance) but I can't be sure. There are also safety pins holding seams in a few places which mean something, but idk what.

Also, not sure if the lace is shattering, or did it just get eaten by a moth or caught on something? The lace is so much more delicate and softer than any lace I've ever felt.

I bought it at an estate sale to wear it, but i'm not sure that it would stand up to any level of distress at all

Need a rubber gasket replacement

I tried googling and searching amazon, but nothing relevant came up. Has anyone ever been able to find replacement rubber seals for these? It definitely needs it.It leaks without it

1930s steamer wardrobe restoration

Manufactured in Petersburg, VA by a company still in business. Was able to get the age range from them(1930-1935). It's in fantastic shape, but definitely has a dusty smell, but not mold or decay.

Exterior is canvas, it does not look like there's a coating on it. I saw comments on other posts mentoning shellac glows under black light and this one didn't. The interior has almost all the hangers (One is broken). No keys for the interior drawers or the exterior lock. Interior drawers are canvas/fabric coated in something. What steps to bring it back to life?

Current plan of attack:

Gentle soap and water on exterior (pic 3&4)

Vacuum interior drawers

Vinegar and water clean interior of drawers (pic 1)

Steam the curtain partition (pic 5)

Light oiling of joints for hanging rack (pic2)

Rubber mallet and heat gun to the exterior metal lip to reshape (7)

Rubber mallet and heat gun for tiny lever of left side that will not allow case to close (8&9) hopefully it won't lock!

My goal is to get as much of the smell out as possible and actually use it for clothing storage. I dont want to damage anything or cause deterioration but im just pulling the steps out of my ass so i guess we'll see.

No, I dont want to explain why a disability causes injuries

I don't need anything. I just need to vent to people who might understand.

I require mobility aids because I didn't receive adequate care after injuries when I was younger. On top of that is still the standard eds story, super frequently injured while doing basic tasks that seem impossible to get injured doing, as well as having the eds tummy troubles. The usual story, parents thought I was exaggerating or lying. Years of medical neglect later, here we are.

After starting a new job, (hybrid) I started the process for ADA accommodations. I probably don't need to tell you all, but goddamn, can employers drag that process out. I don't even think I was asking for a lot.

  1. I work in a secure building with a super short lock timeout, so I would need some way to get in on days I'm moving slower.

  2. There is one bathroom in the entire facility, so they would just need to make a note that I need frequent bathroom breaks.

  3. I occasionally (10x in 6 months) have to drive to other buildings and they won't let me use my car. I asked, get me a more accessible car, or just let me use mine. Side note, they do in fact, have sedans that I would be able to get into and out of that's not a lifted utility truck, they just won't let me.

  4. Increase work from home days to reduce the chance that I'm going to get injured doing something "normal" at work and reduce the amount of wear it puts on my body to go to the only bathroom in the entire floor multiple times a day. No, I don't sit anywhere near the bathroom and no they could not move me closer.

While i'm waiting for the process, I get injured. While doing something "normal". The problem? It was getting into the truck that I already told them was not accessible with my disability.

I am livid. And embarrassed. I feel stupid that I got hurt getting in a truck. I'm mad because I told you this was gonna fucking happen. I didn't even ask for mileage reimbursement. I just asked to let me use my own car. But no.

Now I cannot use my entire arm, because it dislocates every time I fucking move it. It's basically my only usable arm., because the other arm has to deal with mobility devices. How exactly am I supposed to open the secure access door, much less the access door between my desk and the bathroom. To make it worse, i can't cook, write or type with this hand. I look insane when I eat because apparently I've never used a fork or spoon with my non dominant hand.

Yall between the mobility issues and using my non dominant hand, I look like I'm possessed be a very fresh out of school demon. Like I haven't experienced gravity before and find it confusing.

But it gets better, I had to put in a workmans comp claim so I could get PT to put the shoulder back in place. Guess what? Denied. Not an accident.

What do you mean denied, it only happened because I was working, going where tf yall wanted me to go and in a big ass truck I already told you was not physically accessible.

So, I call an atty, they say sorry, we only do workmans comp, this is ADA. Call an ADA atty, sorry, its workmans comp and we dont do that.

So I go to the legal advice subreddit and ask wtf do I do. Who do I contact. And they dont understand all the ins and outs of my disability based on a 2 sentence summary. UNLESS YOUR MY ATTORNEY WHY WOULD I TELL YOU ALL MY MEDICAL INFO.

I'm frustrated and just so upset. I was absolutely THRILLED when I got this job and loved everyone of my coworkers and the work I was doing and now it just sucks. I can't work, im not getting paid. I listed a bunch of heirlooms on ebay to pay some bills in the mean time and they're not selling. I dont even have a question or anything, I just need the name of a competent atty or for HR to stop holding the ADA application or someone to tell me im not going to get fired for being disabled.

I collected these as a child because they were pretty, but I know nothing about them. I wish o had asked questions, but I suspect even if I did I would have forgotten everything by now.

I know this kimono is atleast 30 years old, but why flannel? Was this a trend at some point? I want to blame the 70's but who knows

These were all from the same estate sale and I'm dying. Even the ones that aren't my style are SO CUTE! Nobody irl is into this like I am and I need to gush. (#4 is a deep true emerald green, the sun is washing out my photo) I'm thinking the range is from the 60s to the mid 90's. The pink one has tags with Kimball dots on it.

I just picked these up today, some are super easy to style, but there are a few that I can almost feel the vision out of the corner of my eye and I can't quite reach it.
