The programme Crackòvia is set to return to television nine years after its last broadcast. According to an exclusive report by verTele, the regional broadcaster TV3 is already working on the return of this legendary programme. Sports satire, the ‘little sister’ of the long-running Polònia, will once again be its central theme, featuring a range of sketches directly linked to current affairs.

Produced by Minoría absoluta in collaboration with 3Cat, the programme became a real hit with viewers right from the start. The channel gave the green light to this spin-off in 2008, and it enjoyed remarkable success in a very short space of time. What’s more, it spawned various versions on other regional channels such as Telemadrid, Castilla-La Mancha Media and Aragón TV.

Viewer support remained high throughout a whopping nine seasons, broadcast between 2008 and 2017. Although there was initially talk of a ‘break’ in the first quarter of the following series to make way for the series Merlí, which proved a huge success and was even exported to laSexta, the programme did not return. The sports sketches later moved to Polònia.
