Planted 68gal tank.
CO2 and UV
Fluval 407 with an external booster.
But, no. 4 tanks. Nothing but sad fish.
Setup is finally done. (Except adjusting CO2 levels).

Our first big high-tech tank (68 gal). It's not super fancy. It's a low-boy because it's meant for kids to be able to mess with stuff and stick their hands in (with supervision of course).

This is our third planted tank (UNS 120S - 68gal).
We're still pretty new to this, but we're having lots of fun exploring and experimenting. (That's my youngest, Lyndon, in the picture. He's a future marine biologist. 🥰).
This was our Saturday afternoon and evening. We only added plants today. We'll move the fishes over in a day or so, after checking the water.
Sorry for the potentially triggering photo.
The wife pointed out that the white stuff was probably mites and we need to get rid of them. I had no idea.
She helped me clear it with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. The first pic is the after picture.
Is this enough to save it?
Will the discolored parts go away or do I need to cut it out?
Just wanted to share because it might give others ideas.
First time doing woodworking. (I still have all 10 fingers, and only got nicked once). So please forgive the bad cuts and poor routing.
I used two metal modular work stands and cut 3/4 inch Baltic Birch plywood as back and sides. I used longer bolts to tie the panels to the frame. The tops are plywood with a factory added plastic layer.
The front is just some plastic plant wall bits I had left over from another project. The pieces are mismatched if you look really closely. I zip tied the fake plants to a PVC pipe for rigidity.
I'm a Chinese born American. I grew up speaking Cantonese at home and a little Mandarin.
My family is mostly from Hong Kong, so I already have a big soft spot for HK accented Cantonese and English. (It's very comforting).
This show has made me feel so seen.
My wife, who was born in Beijing, hates the Mandrin used in the show. She said she can't understand any of it. I told her that's bizarre, because I can understand them really well for some reason.
Then I realized that the main characters (other than 13) speak Mandarin the way that I speak Mandarin... With a massive Cantonese/HK accent and terribly. Hahaha! I love this show even now.
Oh, and I love that when the characters get too excited or need to say something vulgar, they default back to street Cantonese to add in a little quip.
