Is the strain on the joycons worth it?

The dbrand killswitch is not available in my country and way too expensive to import. Been trying the mumba and supacase cases that allow for something to detatch the joycon (I need something that allows me to detach joycons because 50% of time I play in docked mode)

However, I've observed it puts a lot of outward stress on the joycon while removing the cover. Will this cause wear and tear in the long run? Is it worth the "military grade" protection that the case gives (I'm comfortable playing with and without the case, doesn't make much difference to me)

PS: I have tried in every way - supporting the joycons also. It still pulls on it as shown in the video

Anyone using mumba blade/titan/supcase with removable hinges like this in the long run?

I will be probably removing it like this on the daily

Guide: How to buy from Nintendo eShop Japan for Indians

  1. Create a NEW Nintendo account , and set your Nintendo account region to Japan. Login to your console with that account

  2. Buy a Nintendo gift card from Amazon.jp (this is done because Nintendo Japan store does not accept foreign cc)

  3. On your Nintendo console, go to the Nintendo store (it will be in Japanese, use Google translate camera to translate)

  4. The last option on the left side menu will be to add a gift card, click on that and add the code

  5. Once the code is added, funds will be added to account. You can use this to purchase the game. You will have to use Google translate lens throughout if you don't know Japanese :p

-You can also add the code from browser using your Nintendo account, but for some reason it wasn't working for me - the page wouldn't load, and so I added it using the console

IMPORTANT!!:

  1. If you have any residual funds in your Nintendo account, it won't allow you to switch regions (even if it is 1 yen), so make a NEW account and set its region to Japan and purchase from there

  2. After purchasing the gift card from Amazon Japan, it said order complete, but I didn't get any debit notice from my bank and also no code on email, although Amazon Japan showed the order as complete in my orders. It took 1-2 hours for the money to get debited because of fraud protection measures, you might get a call from your bank too. (Mine is icici)

So do not make a duplicate order, wait for 1-2 hours

Hope this helps! Reply here if you need any help :)

Games are 30-50% cheaper on Nintendo Japan store, and most run in your device default language (i.e english for me), but do verify it is the global version and not Japanese version. Most major games have english as they're language

Purchased a Switch 2 with 1 year seller warranty for 56k

Bought a switch 2 a few weeks back for a little higher price (56k) from happy gaming world, purely because they had 1 year seller warranty.

Was a little skeptical buying from them after reading all the posts on reddit, but had read positive posts too. So paid with CC so I can charge back in case something happens.

Recieved it in 4 days, everything neatly packed. I bought games from Nintendo Japan store (some I bought from US store because it took like 2 hours for Amazon Japan to accept my gift card purchase, and I felt it hadn't gone through)

I understand what the fuss of Nintendo is about. I'm having a lot of fun with BOTW.

My current gaming stack:

PS5 launch edition

RTX 3060 gaming laptop

Rog Ally Z1 extreme

Switch 2

At 32 I'm fulfilling all my childhood dreams. I don't have any other things that I spend my money on, so I'm happy collecting gaming consoles.

I buy my games digitally because I travel a lot and having physical just seems like a pain in the ass, I'm sure to lose it. Also, lost interest in physical after they stopped putting manuals and goodies. I sometimes buy physical for PS5 to play and sell

Looking forward to connecting with all of you!

PS: if anyone is looking to buy, I think bank of electronics has it cheapest rn at 51.9k, without seller warranty

Games buy from Nintendo Japan, you get it for almost 30-50% cheaper

Looking for people to join family NSO

Just ordered a switch 2, and plan to get NSO + expansion. Its really cheap if we do it the family way. I think 950 per person, per year.

There are 8 slots in total, so looking for 7 people.

Or if anyone has space on their family NSO, lmk i'd like to join

Just ordered a switch 2, where do I begin?

Hey guys,

PS5 and PC gamer here. Always wanted to get into the nintendo ecosystem (I love platformers)

Played Zelda and Mario 64 on emulation, but honestly just dont get the same feel.

Finally pulled the plug and ordered the switch 2. I'd like to know how I should get started, and most importantly, where games are the cheapest.

Thinking of starting with BOTW and Mario Kart, but I really want to know the cheapest place to buy games because the games are bloody expensive. I'd like to slowly build my library over time through wherever games are cheap.

Also thinking of getting the NSO subscription to play the older games. Anyone have any space on their family subscription for me?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Is it safe to keep the ps5 vertically?

I have a launch edition PS5 that has been vertical all these years, was wondering if I should keep it horizontal, cause of concerns of the liquid metal barrier ageing

Hi there!

I currently run 2 other monetised channels (software tutorials) and make consistent income from it to take care of my needs.

I play 1-2 hours of single player story based games a day. I was wondering what if I recorded footage along with my voice (indo-american native English accent) and uploaded regularly. Does this guarantee any sort of way to get monetized if I do it consistently for a year (im honestly not looking to become a PewDiePie, just make some side income from the 1-2 hours of gaming I already do). Voice commentary only, no facecam.

I'd like a reality check as to what I can expect

Hey guys,

Started making content on BeamNG. My last 2 videos got 1k and 2k impressions each (not a lot, but they are my first videos). The third one I posted I was pretty confident about (great thumbnail, great editing, trending topic on BeamNG), but to my horror even after almost a day, I got only 4 impressions. I'm sure if I got impressions I would have gotten good ctr for this video

It's heartbreaking to see this after I put in so much work 😭

Any idea why this is happening? Should I edit the video slightly and re-upload it?

If you search "PS5 ultra realistic graphics", you'll see a bunch of videos (can't share links here). Stuff like that.

Mixed with some gaming laptop and rog ally benchmarks

My playstation was purchased in Feb 2021 (first batch of PS5s in my country), and it has been standing vertically since then (please excuse the cable management)

Do not believe the FUD spread by youtubers about the cooling liquid
