ETA: concerns about discrimination of all kinds…worse than having to have a picture on LinkedIn. These fkng companies have found myriad ways to manipulate and discriminate….
So Hyattsville now has a number of FLOCK ai cameras recording a load of data about every vehicle that passes by -- see map below from the website "DeFlock".
Did City Council vote to do this? Is the Hyattsville PD paying for these? FLOCK is a breach of privacy rights among other things. Yes you drive on public roads but these cameras record a great amount of data that you don't have any access to.
Do the Hyattsville residents even know all our movements are being tracked in a private database that the police can use for any number of reasons without your consent? Note that FLOCK is a private company and beholden to nobody.
I think we should organize to get these FLOCK removed.

Here’s one to be wary of.
My dad dialed the phone number on the back of his card for support. Unfortunately he misread the number by one digit (the numbers are so damn small) and these people asked him to verify his account and have been trying to put thru fraudulent charges ever since.
The merchant info on the app that comes thru when they attempt charges isn’t enough to determine who they are
He didn’t authorize any purchases.
I stopped using the app when a merchant stated they shipped my purchases. It took 2 weeks to get a tracking number. Supposedly delivered by Amazon’s 3rd party delivery. Impossible to get customer service for 3rd party delivery.
After I asked about it for a week, they said “we delivered it a week ago.” No picture, no email notification. Nothing.
I got my refund today.
Again I’m not blaming the merchant. I received everything else I bought from them (Hotel Collection). This one I didn’t receive and it was nothing but delays and poor communication. I think this was an Amazon issue but I’m not going to take any more chances.
Whenever I drive through Syracuse I always get a gallon of their kosher garlic. Anyone know who makes them?
