Just finished the game on max difficulty and have some skill-inputs for people trying to start out, No story Spoilers, but Gameplay spoilers:

Hunting skills are largely a waste of time and Learning Points in the early game. They're expensive to learn, and by the mid to late game the returns aren't worth the effort. This is mostly because merchants rapidly devalue the trophies as you sell them, meaning that for example selling them 5 teeth only brings about 10 ore. (Then it devalues to 0, you wont earn anymore per Item-Type)

Theres rare exception for example certain lizzard tongues, tough by the time youre strong enough to hunt those they wont be worth it anymore.

Smithing also feels like a poor investment. The best weapons in the game are generally found as loot or purchased from merchants rather than crafted. While smithing can generate some extra gold, merchants usually don't have enough gold to buy everything you'll collect anyway.

Instead, spend your Learning Points and gold on the Combat Roll and the weapon skills that match your preferred playstyle.

Skills worth learning (excluding the core skills for your chosen build):

  • Acrobatics (unlocks the dodge roll)
  • Climbing
  • Diving/Swimming (Edit: its optional, i just like how diving becomes less stressfull)
  • Scavenger Riding
  • Alchemy (a solid way to save money on potions)
  • Lockpicking I & II

One warning: most lockpicking helper tools and guide videos assume you either have Master Lockpick or no Lockpicking skill at all, so they can be misleading if you're using Lockpicking I or II.

Overall, I'd give the game a solid 8/10. I really enjoyed how much the developers managed to fit into such a relatively compact open world. The characters are memorable, the quests are fun, and the world is full of enjoyable interactions.

I'll definitely be coming back for another playthrough in a few years.

POV the Aliens discover humanitys most advanced Tech. (They burn dead stars to travel, the idea of a bipedal two wheeler is bonkers to them.)

▲ 3 r/Armor

About the gorget outside inside thingie

Many of them are kinda pointy right?

But if you put them under your plate why would you put a pointy thing on or right above your solar plexus?

Does it lead to more protection and does it outweihh the.. uncomfyness in case the armor isnt perfectly fitted?

Declaration of Superiority

I described a high fantasy setting where every tool is either magic or was never invented at all, because they solve all problems with magic, making everything else redundant.

I also went to great effort to describe my magic in detail to ensure it never feels magical at all. Even though everyone can cast conjuration magic, and everything is magic, I still somehow managed to enforce basic conflicts like class separation and economic inequality. Of course, there is a second, but better class of wizards who are above all other wizards, even though I heavily implied that everyone and everything is magic. For you see: everyone is magic, but some are more magical than others.

There is also racism, slavery, and unhappy peasants, even though they could use magic to solve all their problems. They do not. (Insert frog-in-cooking-pot analogy or crab-in-a-cooking-pot analogy depending on your grindset.)

As you can see, I bested you.

This is surely not based on whatever isekai/Lightnovel/Fanfiction-Slop i consumed yesterday. Do not fool yourself. I shall take no questions. I shall not provide any sources. Just imagine I am right. You may might aswell make me admin of this here page.
