I just may have an addiction

My collection is small compared to some I've seen. It's modest and still growing!

Doosan PV 9300M

Our machine has an automatic door that we would like to eliminate. Any advice on what parameters would need changed to disable it?

It tried!

This was on 6/25/26 north of my house near Bucyrus, Ohio. No warnings. Very strong rotation and inflow and well-defined lowered base. The problem with our location is that we are at the outer limits of range for KCLE, KIWX, and KILN radars and are usually in the purple haze for velocity. Warnings, if they come, are usually only after visual conformation or damage reports, unfortunately. We need a closer NEXRAD somewhere around Mansfield!

Beautiful structure, though!

The journey

So. How did I get into piercings? Well..it all started way back around 1998 when a friend got his septum pierced. I was fascinated by it, and that's when the tide shifted for me. I wanted that. So, I did it, myself, in the least safe and most unconventional way. I was a bowling center mechanic then and spent hours alone tending to the machines as needed. A commonly used part is snap rings or retaining rings. I bent one out and stuck it in my nose to see how it'd look if I had a ring there and liked it. I then took that bit of steel to the grinder and sharpened the ends of it, washed it off, and jammed it through my septum. Somehow it went in straight and actually healed with that piece of common steel in it. I kept it flipped up and hidden and no one knew except me. Now in 2026 and 48 piercings later I look back on that dumb kid and wonder how I managed to not really mess that up. No real regrets, though, and that janky piercing is still holding on at 00ga.

TLDR..Just dont be like me. Do things the right way. I was lucky. Others may not be.

??

Warming up a frozen pizza for dinner. Should I shoot for the mean at 21.5 min? Or be conservative and start at 20 and work my way up? 🤣

Lol tolerances never hit the same when you enter this profession!

Edit: I shot for the mean and rotated half way through the cycle. Results are well within tolerance! ❤️

Controversial?

What are your thoughts on these? I didn't realize how controversial these were in other subs. I've had these for about 4 years now. Am I really that rare of a success story for this type of piercing? The thumb webbing made it 2 years before deciding to reject. I was surprised it lasted that long as dynamic as that part of the hand is.

We're they painful? Initially, no. Healing, yes. Do I have regrets? Absolutely no! They are actually quite comfortable and are a great conversation starter. 😁

Just why? Lol

Why is it that I can sit for hours and not have an itch, but as soon as I redo my nail polish, I feel like I got attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes! 🙄😁

Anyway. The results turned out how I wanted. 🙂💙❤️

Is Millennium Force back to how it used to be?

I gotta hand it to the Millennium Force crew yesterday (6/13/26) afternoon. They were hustling when it finally opened. The guy in the booth was calling out to the attendants where the train was in the track. "ON THE ISLAND," "HEADING HOME," "STACKED!" He really seemed to have lit a fire under their ass and they were busting it to move people through! They were still stacking every cycle, but usually for only a minute or less. Most of the delays i witnessed were due to oversized riders or riders that chickened out last minute. If this rate keeps up,we may finally see the ride operating at its true full capacity by later this summer. Good job Millennium crew!

"Nails" or nails?

So, I have a family member currently in school to learn cosmetology. Nails included. She invited me as someone to practice acrylic on. I was hesitant at first as I haven't done acrylic before, but eventually gave in. Long story short, and several drinks later, she did this. Apparently she had had this joke planned for a long time. Yes, thats an actual steel masonry nail embedded in acrylic attached to my finger. Lol. I cant even be mad because 1, I was quite wasted and barely remember the manicure, and 2, she actually pulled this off! 😀 I was mad when I realized what she did, but I forgive her. It was all in good fun. Now removing this is going to be..well you know. oddly..I kinda like it. 😀

I wish I didn't do this

I wish I didn't wait 46 years before getting my nerves together and just being me. I've dabbled with nail polish since I was in my 20s, but I kept it private, and no one except me ever saw it. Now, and for almost 3 years, I can't handle not having some color on my fingers and toes. I absolutely love it! Here's my current and usual color scheme. The red will always be there on my ring finger. It has a meaning. I can't safely wear a wedding band due to work, so the red is my way of showing my commitment and love for my wife. ❤️ Yes, they are due for a manicure and new coat of polish. That may be something to do this weekend!

Just, don't.

'Yup, thats me. I bet you're wondering how i ended up in this situation."

I did these piercings several years ago. Blindly. Not knowing the risks. I was lucky. They healed and stayed. No nerve or other tissue damage. Most people that try this aren't as lucky. It hurt. It took several months to heal... closer to a year, actually, and It's highly prone to infection and rejection during that period, yet I somehow pulled off and am here to tell the tale

Dont do this. Please! There are a lot of reasons why piercers won't do these. It's dangerous as fuck! As I said, I got lucky. I do love them but always discourage anyone from doing it. I'm just showing these off here as I do get a lot of compliments and comments about them. It just a part of me now, but please, dont try to make it a part of you! It's a stupid piercing, really, but some that I have and live with daily.

I love this color shifting polish I created. Blue in one light, purple in another! It's a mixture of LA Colors 54 purple and 424 blue (franken-polish) with their "Frosting" as a top coat. I just messed around until I found the right combination. Idk the ratios, but it's more purple than blue. 💙💜😀
