Having an issue with a contract in the new MvM update

Hey guys, so I've been doing the contracts but I can't seem to complete the "Demoknight" one. I've been struggling to kill bots with the Half-zatoichi, let alone using other swords, but it doesn't count for some reason. Is it bugged? Do I have to use the Eyelander? Asking so I can avoid wasting time if that doesn't work either
