I found a touring at a junkyard and want to pull some parts, granted all the parts are still there. One being the spoiler. I know the original is mounted by screws but I’d like to avoid drilling if possible. Has anyone mounted one on their sport using m3 tape with success? I was thinking doing 3-5 strips going across. Then seeing if can use a ratchet strap to compress down as it cures and adheres
Recently picked up some beat up MB Seven X off fb marketplace. They kinda banged up and had tons of stuck on grime by the spokes. Used a brush to clean them up then spray painted them. Don’t judge, I know they didn’t come out the best since I didn’t realize the metallic silver said clear coat not recommended and it made it kinda bubble and crack in some areas. I plan to eventually redo them in bronze. But does anyone know what size center caps I need for the inner and outer diameter. I’m just trying to get something cheap off AliExpress to hide the big ass hole. I’m guessing 70mm or 69mm. I really don’t want to take them off to measure since the paint is really delicate
So I have a 2011 sport but used to have a 2013 touring in college. I would park in the smallest spot right between a bush and another car. The spot was so tight that no other car would fit and I couldn’t open the door more than 6” maybe. I remember vividly that I would exit out my trunk everyday but can’t remember how. On my 2011 I don’t see a way to open the trunk from the inside. Does anyone know if that changed over the years like them including the usb charging port? Or am I just stupid and not seeing it? Maybe it’s a touring trim exclusive?
I’m thinking of picking up some 14” Miata M wheels to replace my steelies. They’re sitting on lexani lx tr 175/65r14 tires. Not the best tires but they’ll work for now. Does anyone know if with that current set up they’ll be any rubbing issues, I really doubt it tho. Also if the center caps will fit on all the wheels? I bought flat center caps and they don’t fit in the front just the back. Currently on stock suspension and running 5mm spacers in the front and 3mm spacers on the back. If anyone is running those and has post led them before can you link it? Google isn’t showing me anything
I want to lower my 2011 mazda2. It’s on stock suspension still, I think the original ones from the factory. Shop said they’re worn out but they still don’t feel bad. It’s mainly a daily driver but occasionally I hit some canyon roads. Nothing extreme, 30-40mph roads. So going coilovers seems like an excessive expense that won’t be fully utilized. I was thinking new stock shocks with tein S tech, h&r sport or Megan springs. Anyone run those? Any other recommendations? Please don’t suggest stuff like racing beat springs or other products that are no longer available. I’m on 15” steeliest but if anything I’ll probably upgrade to something that’s no bigger than 16x7”
I bought a new actuator shutter valve since in the past cleaning it along with air filter, throttle body and mag f sensor have fixed the rpm high revving and fluttering at idle but this time around it didn’t fix it. I think I need to replace the intake manifold runner control valve if it doesn’t resolve once the parts come in
No more water condensed lights, will be installing them this weekend hopefully
