Cursed Technique: Paradox Application | Cursed Technique: The Evil Scary Device

Cursed Technique: Paradox Application | Cursed Technique: The Evil Scary Device

This is a collection of two cursed techniques regarding paradox; both are quite overpowered (with the first being KINDA more balanced than the other.)

Cursed Technique: Paradox Application

"MY cursed technique allows for myself to force paradoxes, like those thought experiments!"

The cursed technique, Paradox Application, allows the user to apply a set number of paradoxes onto themselves. The technique requires a high cursed energy expenditure, and also only subsists of five paradoxes.

Paradoxes:

Ship of Theseus

The Ship of Theseus variant of the Paradox Application technique allows the user to replace sections of body parts to allow for a certain need to be established. Of course, the speed of this application regards more to the necessity of this technique requiring to be accomplished. For example: if a blade skims the area of the heart of the user, then that area will forever have a resistance to puncture-based wounds (with formation being dependent on necessity).

Achilles and the Tortoise paradox

This paradox allows the user to give themselves a head start in anything, or to become the tortoise. In practice, the user applies a status effect that lets the user to "pre-react" to anything. Basically, the technique temporarily slows down the activation of anything necessary to the point of the user having enough time in countering. This is an automatic process - with the user being forced to apply roles in the situation. Basically, the user is forced to constantly make themselves the tortoise, and their opponents as Achilles.

Sorites Paradox

The user applies the Sorites Paradox to themselves. Basically, the user must use a massive amount of cursed energy to force a rule; no matter how little their body is, it is still alive. This means, if the user doesn't waste 25% of their cursed energy (as the technique usually requires 75-90% of the cursed energy reserves of the average user), then they are functionally immortal for a couple minutes. The user then can use the Ship of Theseus application to swiftly recover themselves.

Hedgehog's Dilemma

The user can temporarily gain cursed energy output the farther that they emotionally feel towards their peers. The number of times they feel lonely along with the longevity of their periods of loneliness influence the amount of cursed energy output increased. This is constant and passive, as it takes little to no cursed energy to be maintained. This also means that it persists in cursed technique burnout. Also, the closer that they feel to others negatively affects their cursed energy output as well. Furthermore, the user cannot turn off this application of the technique and can't use the benefits of it during cursed technique burnout. The positive and negative effects of this technique on cursed energy output tremendously effect the survivability of the user.

Irresistible Force Paradox

Using all of the user's cursed energy, the user can smash their hands together - with one hand representing an immovable object and the other representing an unstoppable force. The reaction creates a reaction on the levels of nuclear bombs and kills the user.

Cursed Technique: The Evil Scary Device

"[UNINTELLIGIBLE]"

The Evil Scary Device technique allows the user to create paradoxes using a device found by the intestines, replacing their appendix.

"This...[UNINTELLIGIBLE] device was, perfection, perfection, perfection..."

The device functions by storing every possible paradox ever. The user has almost perfect control over the device.

"...perfection, perfection, perfection. domination over the impossible Perfect - perfection, perfection, perfection, perfection..."

The only thing out of the user's control is a thing known as "The Evil Scary Device's failure" which forces horrible effects. The device forces a new law unto the universe, unto reality:

"All paradoxes must be deleted."

A body at the peaks of power and yet the worst of suffering.

"I used to have a proper body, and a home, and a proper body, and a proper...I shouldn't try."

As the device is linked to the user's soul and body, and also is a junction of paradoxes, it is constantly being deleted and reformed. This is a constant process, outside of the user's control. The user is forced to use their powers, allowing themselves to not have cursed technique burnout using a newly made paradox. The user is allowed to do anything impossible but is forced under the constant agony and "omnipotent supervision" of their own cursed technique. The cursed technique forces the user to undergo the feeling of their conscious, of their cells, of their body, of their soul to be viscerally ripped out of the universe, and plunged back in. Constant demolition: that is the hellish motto of this cursed technique. No, not a cursed technique. A full-on curse.

"...perfection, perfect, perfect, [UNINTELLIGIBLE], perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect, [UNINTELLIGIBLE], perfection, perfection, [NONSENSE]..."

Most people use a specific type of scaling system and assume that others are using it too.

Something I commonly see is people use different scaling methods when arguing. Some give character advantages like prior information. Others make characters blood lusted and in perfect effectiveness. And some others use the goated and amazing ooc/ic method. We should, genuinely, remind others of what method that is being used at the start of any discussion or post on a take.

I would like to have a discussion on your opinion on the previous paragraph and also around certain scaling methods. For example, "People who scale in perfect effectiveness, prior information, and blood lust, we shall make our official scaling system name and the methodology and procedures for everything scaling related!" I wish for all of us to enjoy this discussion and all.

Card: Down to the Basics

My bad for the horrible design, I am tired

Card: Down to the Basics!

Cost: 6 BP.

"Turn your slippers into combat boots!"

Dynamite (5 SP): Buffs: 5 damage, the old mini game, bypasses ALL defense as usual.

Rocket Boots (6 SP): Almost the same to the original Rocket Boots. But Fire damage for 5 rounds, affects nearby targets. (Doesn't do damage to nearby targets, rather puts the fire status effect on them for 3 rounds, just for nearby targets.)

Ghost Potion (3 SP): Like normal Ghost Potion (invulnerability for one round,) but makes the after-effect a weakened confusion (Making it last for two rounds, 20% chance of hitting allies.)

Shovel (5 SP): Adds confusion which has a 70% chance to make opponents attack their teammates. 3 Turns of confusion instead of 4.

Paintball Gun (8 SP): Sword mini game, +1 Shot, 8 damage (4 per shot.) Effect lasts for one turn per player.

Growth (6 SP): +2 ATK on all attacks for 5 rounds, doesn't include Paintball Gun.

Bottled Ship (20 SP): Requiring a hard mini-game, Bottled Ship is alike to a Call Card; it has a pirate ship spawn behind you and fires 2-3 varied cannon balls until it is destroyed. It has 5 HP, but scales with levels like other call cards. The cannon balls do 4 DMG and pierce 1 defense. The cannon balls are shot per round. Also, on the mini game, you have to maintain the Bottled Ship using said mini game. Every round, you must maintain the Bottled Ship, or it gets Mutiny for 2 rounds.

Here are all of the Bottled Ship's moves:

Fire Cannon: Two shots of cannons. The cannons give the fire effect for 2 rounds and do one less damage compared to a normal cannon shot.

Normal Cannon Shot: Two shots of cannons. They do 4 DMG each and pierce 1 defense.

Barrage: 4 cannon shots, 2 damage each. No aftereffects. Effects only two opponents during the move.

If the player fails to maintain the Bottled Ship, the Bottled Ship will switch sides and fire at the player's side. This will be a side effect, known as "Mutiny." Also, the Bottled Ship will keep its moves and do +1 damage. After two rounds, it will go away. You can only use Bottled Ship once per game.

Mini game for Bottled Ship:

I imagine the mini game to activate Bottled Ship to be like a harder Slingshot mini game, while the maintaining one should force the player into spamming their space bar. There should be variability, with some forcing the user to their click space a number of times - and others to simply just spam it to the highest. Another version of this mini game could also be a mini game which forces the user to spam, with each time that the player presses the space bar, the ability of the space bar's progression goes down 20%. This concept would have a limit. At a certain point, the limit of -20% per click would go away.

Also, multiple players can use Bottled Ship at once. Although, using multiple Bottled Ships increase the difficulty of the mini games. At a certain point of both players using Bottled Ship and the time of its use, the mini games will simply just become impossible - causing the Mutiny status effect. The more players using Bottled Ship; the longer Mutiny lasts. This also applies if players use Bottled Ship one-after-another.

Bounce: A passive which makes all of your dodges include the player using the ball to help dodging.

The incentive of this card is to use BP for HP cards while also trying to get as much SP as possible.

Fucking "Feats >> Statements/Narrative" mfs when you ask them about fucking prime yuta

I really hate how a certain fanbase enjoys downplaying other characters by using the fact that they don't have enough feats, while also upscaling their favorite characters, allowing them to barely be relevant, whenever needed (while also using narrative and statements.) It genuinely disgusts me at how people simply choose to nonsensically be hypocritical en masse, as it causes more and more piles of shit takes, creating a constant degradation of overall takes, as we simply "lose the script" on what jjk scaling is truly about.

How Yuta fans feel like after vote-bombing Kenjaku in the polls

(who invited Kashimo? 😭😭)

/j

I think Kashimo is only a top 3 contender in MBA. This is due to his speed-scaling and general ability to use any speed edge as an advantage (tempo-change, tempo-stops, etc. The tempo control that Kashimo can cause in a fight is a HUGE factor in the deciding factor for MBA+Base Kashimo matchups.)

Kenjaku beats Yuta because he can take dih

I made a post on how people overrate domains and this guy literally proved my point

Some people just really ignore how Kashimo's stats synchronize with his kit very well (strong dogpile diff! 激しい犬の群れ!)

u/Godzillagamer15777 — 13 days ago

Mfs with the domain diff tag when dabura fucking one-shots kenjaku

I understand why people have such respect to domains and surehits, but seriously... There are some cases where speed and AP advantages basically make life for a domain user hell. Megumi with a surehit and a basic barrier isn't going to win against Kashimo, and so forth with any characters. The way that people ignore kits and how they interact with stats unnerves me, as it highlights the depressing reality of agenda-based or oversimplified arguments in modern reality and fictional-discussions.

u/Godzillagamer15777 — 13 days ago

yeah bro return stroke is genuinely effective against domains (please don't immediately comment, read.)

Main Argument

Kashimo will be able to puncture a domain due to cursed energy's simplicity and intimacy. There are also other methods from this. The relationship between science and cursed energy (regarding Kashimo) allow for a step leader to develop.

Domain CE blocking and creating new space

First, veils are filters. They are made to block and hide. Them hiding cursed energy and forcing curtain conditions based on senses and control are likely to be the specialized effects of veils as barriers. (This is relating to Mechamaru stuff.)

Second, the inability to sense cursed energy outside of a domain can be outlined through the intimacy of the self's cursed energy. In simple terms, not being able to sense other's cursed energy shouldn't mean that you'd be unable to control YOUR cursed energy while outside of a domain.

Third, even if this is all wrong - and Kashimo can't 'communicate' with his staff - we can just change interpretation and make it to where Kashimo uses a certain amount of charge (supported by the fact that Kashimo needs a tempo-break to allow for return stroke.)

Step Leaders

"But domains block step leaders!"

Kashimo is likely to be able to reinforce the step leader naturally or indirectly reinforce it via maintaining the "want" of the return stroke to be near Kashimo's other charge. This will allow for it to plausibly damage the barrier of a domain, allowing for the step leader to develop.

How Kashimo Uses It

Kashimo likely used this to puncture the barriers of domains while the domain user was in between him and the return stroke. Kashimo is likely to use it through intuitional aiming and angling or by standard angling and aiming. Basically, he either guessed it or was able to aim it using a feeling of his cursed energy.

I want to clarify some points for people who overestimate Kashimo, and everything I'm going to say is based on facts shown in the manga.

First, I've seen too many people saying that Kashimo died from WCS, which is WRONG!!! The conditions for activating WCS are reciting the incantations and indicating the direction with your palm (I couldn't find the panel in MB). Here I've shown you three panels that demonstrate the MANDATORY activation condition. Sukuna literally didn't say anything to kill Kashimo (fifth slide) and look at the action; he simply couldn't do it offscreen. Many people still think that Kashimo forced Sukuna to use WCS, which is false.

Now that you know Kashimo died from a simple dissection, let's talk about the most important thing. What does Kusakabe tell us? On the sixth slide, he tells us that to achieve maximum lethality, Sukuna needs to use close-range dissection, laceration, and WCS. Sukuna couldn't kill Ryu from a distance, so he did it by hitting him in melee. Furthermore, when Sukuna attacks Yuta and Yuji, Ryu becomes the benchmark for durability (last slide) stating that they aren't as tough as him. If Kashimo were tougher than Ryu, he would have used him as a benchmark; he didn't because Kashimo is a flake.

As a bonus, this is for those who will say that Sukuna was at 16F versus 20F. Sukuna at 16F already has the necessary output to deploy a domain at maximum power. This is stated by the narrator in Shinjuku: a Sukuna's domain with half of his CE is capable of launching a maximum-output attack, referring to the one in Shibuya (in range and output). So they have the same output, just not the same amount of CE. And even if what I just said was wrong, well, as I said earlier, he just fought Kashimo but prefers to compare Ryu in terms of durability.

Anying that Ryu > Kashimo is another debate; I'm just saying that Ryu is much more durable than him, and that Kashimo doesn't have the stats you think. (Even though I think Ryu handles him well enough.)
