I'm starting a massage therapy program in Ontario soon. Having been out of school for a while, I'd love to know what study tips helped you through school and pass the tests. Either how you schedule your learning, ways of taking notes, how to memorize certain movements etc.
Looking for book with a sense of grandeur and awe-inspiring. Bonus if there’s a mage society, cool applications of magic or strange biomes.
Like the title said, I’m looking for some books with interesting worldbuilding premise, maybe a cool magic system. So let me know what books you enjoyed and why their worldbuilding appealed to you.
I’ve talked to my players recently and realized that DnD has some shortcomings. Namely, I don’t think it offers the “generic” archetypes presented in fantasy. Where’s the witch class? Where’s the summoner? Where’s the spirit-possessed oracle? Where’s the shapeshifter that’s not a Druid?
A lot of classes and features in DnD and other games are focused on the mechanics of dungeon delving. I want a game that feels like reading a typical fantasy book. This might be a vague request but if anyone can suggest an interesting fantasy rpg, please let me know. I’m open to games with urban or medieval setting, if that helps.

I just finished a radiation tech program in Ontario, Canada and have applied for multiple jobs without hearing back. I had several people looked at my resume. I even got a personal recommendation from my prof. I applied for OPG, McMaster, Kinetrics, AstraZeneca, CNL, etc. Still I have heard nothing back. I talked to my classmates and the previous cohort and it seems no one is getting hired either.
Is there any extra credentials I can do to improve my chances. Is this a moment where the industry is slow to hire? Or is the industry hesitant on taking on new techs in general?

My name is Azn, I’m 27 year-old gay nerd who loves collaborating with others to tell an interesting story. After DMing for almost a year, I’m itching to be a player once again. If you’re looking for someone to be invested in YOUR homebrew world, you’ve found the right guy.
As a player, I’m attentive, always on time, and collaborate well with others. I also take notes of the lore and plot points to puzzle over on my own free time. As a player, I enjoy having emotionally charged interaction with other PCs and NPCs, treating everything as real as possible. Most of all, I seek to inhabit a unique homemade world with cool lore. I like the discovery/exploration aspect of DnD the most. Like an interactive novel, I get to be a character that can interact with the world and discover its wonders and secrets.
If you’re taking me, you’d be bring an infectious high energy personality on as a player and some nuanced, emotionally-compelling role playing when I’m in character. For characters, I gravitate toward morally grey heroes who feel jaded by the world yet can’t help but be bounded by their moral code.
As for ruling, I am okay with RAI or RAW or whatever variants you have. You’re the DM and as long as your ruling is consistent, I trust your approach to create a fun and challenging game for the player.
Bonus point, if you’re ever in need of time off, I’m more than happy to run a one shot for the group!
As for the practical matter of availability, I’m looking for a weekend game, either on Saturday or Sunday night EST, although I’m willing compromise on the timing if you have a really cool game. The only day I cannot do for sure would be Friday, as that is my own DND game.
Outside of DnD, I paint, bake cookies and box for fun. My favorite fantasy media include Mistborn, the Golden Compass and as of right now, Frieren and Witch Hat Atelier.

Behind their early demise is a entity known as the Thief, whose time travelling ability allows them to manipulate the course of history for the worse. Your job is to find out what motivate the Thief, and save these worlds from their machinations.
Inspiration: Magic the Gathering, Chrestomanci and the Pendragon series.

You and other mercenaries have been hired by a rebel group of dragonkins to exact anger against their oppressors. Tasked to steal an important artifact from the dwarf king, you’re to enter the depths of an active volcano, bypassing arcane sigil, angry elementals and highly trained guards to retrieve this prized, and potentially dangerous artifact.
Background: Cortare is a sunless, frost-filled world sustained by an inner heated core - a lava dragon’s egg. Due to the deadly winter above, most races have retreated below ground and relinquished political power to the dwarfs, who know the underground like the palm of their hand. Life is fine for most, other than dragonkins, who believe that if only they have access to the egg and hatches it, the world will be made anew for them. Tensions are high between the races, and a rebellion is sure to erupt any moment now.
