Sonipat Identity Deception Case (October 2026) : Instagram friendship, Hindu wedding, then woman finds husband was Muslim, already married

In Sonipat, Haryana, a woman alleged that a man married her after concealing his identity and marital status. The woman, a resident of Devru Road, alleged that the man introduced himself as "Joni," a Hindu youth, when they met in June 2023. Four months after the marriage, she discovered that his real name was Javed Khan and that he was already married with three children from his first marriage. She also alleged that she was pressured to convert to Islam and to change the names of her children. The woman further accused her brothers-in-law of molestation and forced sexual relations. The Rakshak Sena, a right-wing organisation, met the victim and demanded police action against the accused, seeking registration of a case and protection for the woman within 48 hours.

The girl met Jony through a Muslim girl named Ruby, who referred to Jony as her Hindu friend. They became friends and eventually entered into a relationship.

Hammami told UAE interrogators he had planned to crash the aircraft into Ben Gurion Airport

Hammami told UAE interrogators -- "I tried to get hired by all the airlines. I planned the operation even before I was accepted by the company. The dream was to crash into Ben Gurion Airport."

Full Context-- According to confessions made to investigators following the foiled hijack attempt on Flydubai Flight 1073, the Omani co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami (who appears to have acted as a lone wolf rather than on direct orders from Hamas), admitted that his primary "dream" was to deliberately crash the passenger jet into Ben Gurion Airport. Investigators revealed that he had also planned a 9/11-style attack targeting a Tel Aviv skyscraper, specifically considering the Azrieli Towers located close to Israel's military headquarters. The plot failed on September 30, 2026, when the plane's captain, Smit Machchhar, bravely fought back after being struck with a cockpit crash axe, allowing passengers to rush the cockpit and restrain al-Hammami.

Nimisha Thakuria de*th case [Full Story]

Relationship between Nimisha and Asif

Asif's father told India Today that the two had allegedly been in a relationship for around five years. Asif's mother separately said that Nimisha had once visited their home during Eid and that she had tried to explain to her that their families were Musl*m and H*ndu and that they came from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

20 September 2026 : Homestay stays begin

According to police, Nimisha Thakuria, a Gauhati University Sociology student, and Asif alias Ashiq Ali, 26, had been staying at Rudra's Kitchen homestay in the Dharapur–Garal area of Guwahati. Police later said the pair had visited the homestay approximately five times during September.

25 September 2026 : Nimisha leaves home

On Friday evening, Nimisha reportedly left home. Her father said that she told her family that she would spend the night with friends at the Gauhati University hostel. She reportedly did not tell her family that she would be staying at a homestay with Asif. Her father said she had also taken money for going out, and the family initially believed she was going to stay with university friends.

  • Around 9:30–10:00 p.m.

According to the homestay staff, Nimisha and Asif were staying in Room No. 10. A staff member reportedly said that the pair ordered food at approximately 9:30 p.m.

26 September : final phone call

This is one of the most important pieces of information reported by the family.

Nimisha's father told the media that his daughter called her mother at approximately 2 a.m. and said that she was being s*xually beaten and assaulted. The family said that the call ended abruptly and they could no longer reach her. The family heard another Asif Ali voice during the call.

  • Around 2:30-3:00 a.m.

A homestay employee reportedly told police that staff members heard shouting and crying from the room. According to the employee's account, they went to the room and found Nimisha lying on the floor while Asif was holding her and crying. This account is potentially important because it concerns what an independent witness says was heard and seen shortly before Nimisha was taken for medical treatment.

  • Around 4:30 a.m. : Nimisha found unconscious

Nimisha was taken to Garal Primary Health Centre after being found unconscious. She was subsequently referred to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her dead.

26 September : police investigation and arrest

Asif was taken into custody and subsequently arrested in connection with the case.

Police began examining:

  • the homestay room;
  • forensic evidence;
  • Nimisha's phone and communications;
  • movements of Nimisha and Asif;
  • statements of homestay employees;
  • the alleged late-night phone call;
  • the physical injuries reported during the preliminary inquiry;
  • the post-mortem findings

Injuries

Media reports have referred to injury marks on Nimisha's body, while her father has said that she had been physically assaulted. These are significant because they potentially conflict with a simple suicide explanation, but the precise cause, nature and timing of the injuries must be established through the post-mortem and forensic investigation, rather than inferred from photographs, family observations or protest claims.

27 September : protests

Following Nimisha's death, protests took place in Guwahati, including a road blockade. Protesters and organisations described the incident as a “love jih*d” case.

27–28 September : police investigation

Police subsequently sealed the homestay and examined its records. Investigators reportedly found that Nimisha and Asif had stayed there approximately five times within a month, while the homestay allegedly failed to maintain the required identity documentation.

Asif Claim

Nimisha boyfriend Asif claim that Nimisha committed su*cide. However, physical assault mark on the body of Nimisha says different story.

Instagram

When Nimisha was in a relationship with Asif, a X(twitter) based anti-grooming member reached out to her on Instagram and tried to persuade her to end her relationship, but she didn’t agree. If she had left Asif at that point, she would not have gone on to stay with him at a homestay, Asif would not have assaulted her, she would not have died, and Asif would not have lied to save himself by falsely claiming that she had committed su*cide.

Case : How Iskcon Chittagong Vs Iskcon Dhaka internal politics effected the image of Chinmoy Krishna Das ?

What happened with the allegations

In 2023, someone sent a complaint to ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission (GBC). The GBC is the top group of senior leaders who make big decisions for the whole organisation. The complaint said Chinmoy had molested three minor boys.

Kamalesh Krishna Das, who is the director of ISKCON’s International Child Protection Office [a branch under GBC], ordered Chinmoy to stay away from anyone under 18. Chinmoy was also temporarily suspended. He could not hold leadership posts, lead kirtans (devotional singing), give classes, or take part in public worship.

Bangladesh police looked into the claims and reportedly found no evidence. No criminal charges were filed against him over these specific allegations.

  • A ISKCON follower later told the BBC the claims were false and came from “an internal feud between Iskcon leaders in Dhaka and Chittagong.”
  • Two of those three boys later spoke to India Today. They told the magazine that they made the accusations under pressure. Their exact words were: “We came under the influence of others to malign the president.”

ISKCON Bangladesh officials later said children had accused him. He was suspended for three months so the matter could be investigated. They said he did not follow the rules of the suspension, so he was permanently expelled in July 2024 for breaking organisational discipline (while he had been Chittagong divisional organisational secretary).

The internal politics angle (Chittagong vs Dhaka)

Chinmoy was a rising figure in Chittagong. He had been principal of Pundarik Dham temple there for years and served as the Chittagong divisional secretary. His popularity and influence were growing. Some people inside ISKCON believed this made him a possible future national-level leader.

Supporters of Chinmoy have long claimed that leaders based in Dhaka (the capital) saw him as a rival. According to this view, the child-abuse complaint was used as a tool to remove him from power, stop his rise, and take control of the Chittagong temples and activities. The temporary suspension and later full expulsion fit this story for his backers: first weaken him with the allegation, then remove him completely when he did not fully obey the restrictions.

ISKCON officials present a different picture. They say the Child Protection Office acted on real complaints from children, followed standard rules, and that Chinmoy’s refusal to stay within the suspension rules led to his permanent removal. They have publicly distanced the organization from him after his expulsion.

Sanātana Dharma is the Universal Dharma of Humanity

1. Sanātana Dharma teaches universal brotherhood

While many religions emphasize love primarily for their own followers, Sanātana Dharma speaks of the welfare of the entire world.

अयं बन्धुरयं नेति गणना लघुचेतसाम् ।

उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्॥

(Mahopaniṣad 4.71)

Translation: "Only narrow-minded people think, 'This person is mine and that person is not.' For those of noble character, the whole world is one family."

2. Sanātana Dharma prays for peace throughout the universe

Unlike traditions that conclude worship by praising only their own deity, Sanātana Dharma concludes religious ceremonies with prayers for peace in the entire cosmos.
