Seriously, after the 55% win rate post-fire strike buffs, I thought for sure they'd nerf something.

Maybe they're too worried about D.Mon competing with the brawl slot that they're willing to let Rein stay extremely strong for S4.

I have been ranking up on Soldier by playing hyper aggressive and going on angles to ambush the enemy team.

At my rank, there's rarely anyone using these off-angle routes, or if there is, I can usually 1v1 them.

But wouldn't you know it, I played a game this morning where the enemy team had a Soldier trying to use the same angles. and we kept running into each other.

The first few times, I challenged him directly, but he was a better duelist and I lost. So finally I settled into Cold War style. I just kind of lurked where he knew I was there and I didn't try to push up, but whenever he tried to push up, I contested him.

It felt really weird because I wasn't getting my normal value of shooting the enemy backline. But I was thinking, at least he can't get past me to shoot MY backline.

is that enough value in this situation? Or should I have just left and tried to shoot down main or go to the opposite side of the map and try that flank instead?

I've been trying really hard to play with good positioning and not die. But since I've started doing that, I have had a run of bad games.

I would appreciate people reviewing these and letting me know if there's anything I could have done in these close losses. Am I playing too scared, or should I trust the process and keep it up with this new cautious playstyle?

I just finished Hyperion and loved the lush language, the mythic feeling, the beauty of the language, and the non-mechanical approach to building wonder, not afraid to meander and philosophize a bit.

I read Brandon Sanderson for years, but have gotten tired of the genre he helped popularize of mechanical explanations for everything, intricate plot and mechanical worldbuilding come first at the expense of organic wonder and beauty.

I guess I mean that I like Brandon Sanderson, but it doesn't captivate me anymore. Hyperion felt like a fresh approach to storytelling and it totally hooked me. I'm wondering there's anything similar in style and tone, but in a fantasy setting.

Come on Blizzard, this perk that is clearly the best perk available to my favorite hero [X] needs to be base kit, notwithstanding the fact that my hero currently has a pretty balanced win rate and is doing just fine overall.

But seriously, I subscribe to a lot of hero subreddits, and they all have a variation of this post AT LEAST twice a day. Everyone just wants their best perks to be base kit and are completely oblivious to the balance implications.

I've been bouncing up and down between gold and plat and I feel burned out. I might give it a break for awhile. I'd like to plan to come back after the rank reset, but I don't know when the next one will be. Does anyone know? Will it be at the end of Season 2, or the end of Season 3? I don't know if they've officially announced it, but any insight would be helpful.
