I'm not just talking about fictional books, I also mean books that should help you learn more about a skill, topic or hobby. I have SOOO many things I'm interested in, many of which require theory before practice.

And so I put myself there, with the book I downloaded, and try to force all of my focus on it. Guess what? I genuinely can't remember what the line above said, or what the entire page said. Even if I have to re-read it a dozen times, I'm fine with that because I want to be determined, but it still doesn't help. I barely remember just the trivial details instead of the key ones.

And this also happens with physical books. I know it isn't because of tiktok or whatever because I've always been like this ever since a little kid. I still haven't found a solution or anything that helps. Do you have any tips if you struggle with reading as well?

Hello! I've been wanting to buy some herbs and spices since at the moment I don't have any. Things is, we're quite boring (and broke) here, and there's nothing other than salt, sugar, cinnamon and rosemary. I think I'm really interested in green witch and kitchen witch practices and I need a bigger inventory, of course, cause there's not much I can do with just that.

Now, the closest stores are far from my home and you can only reach them with a car. Only my mom has a license, and we always go grocery shopping together. If I were to suddenly buy all the most random spices and herbs she'd ask a couple questions.

I'm considering Amazon but I don't know... Part of me doesn't want to buy herbs from there, and the bulk options are quite pricey too. I can buy candles from there, not sure about herbs. So here comes my question, where do you fellow witches buy your stuff? And if you do from Amazon, have you had any issues? Should I trust Etsy? Thank you!!

Context: My father and his mistress (she is also a witch) have wronged and hurt me and my family for years, unfair and emotionally abusive. Because of a court case he is obligated to give us a (small) amount of money every month. It is small, but it's the only source of money I have to live by while I'm still looking for a job and the rest of my family can't work. And we don't have money for a lawyer to protect us, so he keeps threatening me that he'll stop giving the money and that he's going to evict us from the household.

Other than that I believe his girlfriend may have cast some kind of hex on us. I'm telling you, it's almost comical the amount of bad luck that we have and whenever we talk to them, someone in my family ends up getting hurt, job opportunities go stale, or something breaks in the house. Just last time my brother almost cut his finger off and my mom hit the same leg that she broke a year ago. Even my mom's partner got bitten by a bug he's allergic to. Like, are you seeing this? 😐

I have done a few spells in the past, many of which worked, but never a freezer spell. I'm a little disoriented now and I can't really decide what I want my intention to be without messing things up. I want them out of our life, to stop harassing us, for sure, but I also don't want this to block the flow of money that my fathers owes us. I'm not sure how to go on about this, or if a freezer spell even is right for this. Thank you so much for any opinions or suggestions in advance

Disclaimer: I'm not asking for help! I know a few other people that have noticed this and I'm curious if there might be a reason behind this. I do not consume g0re content, but I do watch a lot of horror and sci-fi movies, stuff where you would usually come across that. Also I apologize if this is written horribly, I'm bad with words but I'm really curious about this.

In my pre-teen and teen years I used to watch or read a lot of horror content from the moment I woke up, and then I would go to sleep like a peaceful baby. I also remember there used to be a time when you'd come across a normal video on the internet only for it to turn into a g0re clip. Anyone remember that? I was 11-12 back then, and of course it's not like I was unmoved, but I feel that I was somehow less affected than I would be if I saw that right now as a 21 year old. I mean, the first time it happened to me I forgot about it after a couple days. Meanwhile in the present day it takes me weeks to forget a really creepy thing I saw, and it actually really messes with my head. It's so weird to me because if I think about this logically it doesn't make much sense.

I get more spooked by creepy things, and I get more uncomfortable by seeing bl0od, visible veins and graphic content now that I did then. I genuinely have to sprint when I go to the bathroom at night lol

How would one that studies psychology explain this, or why do you assume this happens?

I have visited all the 64x64 and 50x50 lots, but I still can't decide. For context, I'm thinking something between a Victorian or Gothic castle. Now I'm not too skilled in builds, but I really want it to feel immersive and realistic, which means bridges, lakes, stones, high foundations, towers, round rooms, a big royal garden, etc., so I can send my family to live there and start a new dynasty.

At the end of the day I'll have to work with what TS4 gave us, but I'd love a lot far from the other sims, where the scenery has both sea and greenery, and for the overall "vibe" of the place to reflect the luxury of the castle itself.

I posted in a subredddit asking for advice on a cat's injury and I had to use the NSFW tag because the pictures were graphic. Now I can't find my post anywhere, the only way is going through an auto mod notification, but even then I can't see it because it tells me that it has mature content and I can only tap "go back". I am 21 and I have my birthday already set in my profile settings, yet the "show mature content" buttons etc are all gray and I can't tap on them. What should I do?

Let me be clear about one thing first: there's absolutely nothing wrong with songs about relationships and men, so please don't take this the wrong way 😅 I know that love is the topic of 80% of the music industry, and that's fine. I also love those songs. I'm not judging anyone, and you should totally listen to what you love and relate to. It's just not what I'm in the mood for right now

I don't have many songs that match this at the top of my head, but I feel like When I Rule The World by Liz can be an example. Where it's upbeat, bubbly, feels like pink glitter and has underlined messages about society and female empowerment rather than "I'm hot so all the boys want me" (again, nothing wrong with that)
