Exposure number dial not working on vintage Mamiya Kominar — does the affect shooting?

Bought this Mamiya at a garage sale for $10 and when I went to load the camera just now, the exposure dial isn’t working. It spins and feels like it’s trying to catch on something but doesn’t and the numbers don’t change. Hard to trust if it’s actually capturing an image or not. Does this affect shooting or will it be okay?

Rescued dieffenbachia — what does it need?

Just rescued this dieffenbachia from a business that closed and it needs some love! Not sure exactly what it needs tho — more light or less light? More hydration, less hydration? There are some mild brown tips on the leaves and the leaves are super pale and droopy. The soil is bone dry! Feels like a well draining soil tho. Placed it near a south facing window. Any help will be appreciated!

Anyone had/have experience with a SleepEZ Essential Latex Mattress? Desperately need help deciding!

I’m losing my mind trying to decide what mattress to buy. I recently purchased, after TONS of research, a Tuft & Needle Original Hybrid 12” and I’m so sad that it’s not for me so I’m returning it — it’s too bouncy, too firm (waking up with aching shoulders as I’m a side, and also back, sleeper) and the edge support isn’t great.

I‘ve been sleeping on a cheap IKEA memory foam mattress + topper for the last 8 years and I desperately needed an upgrade. I wanted to try a hybrid because I heard they sleep cooler but I don’t think hybrid is for me because I despise a springy bounce.

I’ve heard great things about latex and SleepEZ seems to have a great rep. Currently on the SleepEZ website, they have their Essential Latex Mattress on sale — a queen is $499…BUT they aren’t accepting returns for it, which I s a gamble. Thoughts? Also considering the Tuft & Needle Original Legacy Edition and the Boring All Foam Mattress. Any guidance would be so appreciated cuz I wanna pull my hair out over this.

August Trip Advice

My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Yellowstone in August for 4 days. He has a knee injury so we’re unable to do any long hikes, but short ones will be doable! Any short hikes or sights that are a must? Also wondering about kayaking or canoeing because we love being on the water and that would be a great way for him to enjoy it with his knee issue. Any recommendations there?

Thanks so much in advance!

First time White2tea Purchase — help me narrow my options down?

It’s my first time purchasing from White2tea and I’m super overwhelmed (in a good way!) by all the options, and very excited to try their teas! Here are some screenshots of what I have in my cart so far. I need help narrowing it down/editing. Here are the tasting notes I gravitate towards:

- more rich, robust flavors — teas that are more subtle and delicate are less exciting to me, though I don’t say no to white teas.

- cocoa, marzipan, caramel, vanilla, baked goods, creamy/full mouthfeel.

- savory and salty.

- sharper floral notes like orange blossom and honeysuckle — I don’t resonate with rose or jasmine even though I think they’re beautiful flowers!

- earthy but not grassy.

I emailed them directly and gave them this info and they recommended Firebat, Pine Darts, Milan Maocha (top shelf honey orchid dancong), Millstone, 2021 Tuhao (which sounds soooo good but is more pricey), and the Tempa Black.

Any recommendations?? I so appreciate the help!! <3

(36yo Female. Diagnosed late August last year. Started treatment October last year w/ Methimazole)

I wanted to post some positivity to bring some hope to whoever needs it today. Graves’ Disease has tried (and keeps trying) to kick my ass emotionally and physically. I‘ve had good days and bad days — days where I’m so scared and depressed all I do is cry. But I also have days where I feel so strong and hopeful that I take everything the disease throws at me with grace.

In the beginning my heart was racing, I had major chest pains, horrible water retention and swelling (especially in my face and eyes), depression, such horrible insomnia that I’ve never experienced before (I had to take those special gummies to help me sleep), GI issues like crazy (which I’m still struggling with), my hair was falling out so badly I could stuff a teddy bear with the amount of hair that was coming out of me every time I washed my hair or brushed it, weakness in the gym, panic attacks, I could go on and on…

Now, finally, my Endocrinologist has got my levels normalized after over 6 months of trying. I am finally started to feel somewhat ”normal!” I can sleep great now without gummies, my hair isn’t falling out in clumps anymore, my water retention has improved vastly, my heart rate is normal, and my strength in the gym + muscle gain has dramatically increased.

I guess what I am trying to say is that you will get better! Please don’t lose hope! Time and trust will heal. Having this disease has taught me to give myself grace every single day, which I wasn’t doing before. I suppose that’s a silver lining.

Every day is a new day. Every breath is a new breath. Keep going! There is hope! <3

35 yo female. Started Methimazole late October last year. I’m a rock/metal vocalist and I’ve noticed since starting my thyroid treatment that there are days, sometimes weeks, where my voice is super hoarse and I can’t belt my high notes like I typically can. I’ve started to resort to fry screaming or death growling during those belting parts because, well, screams + growls sound even better when they’re more gritty so I guess that’s one advantage (😂). Is anyone in this forum a vocalist/singer with Graves’ and can relate?

I’ve honestly noticed the best thing is giving myself grace every 👏 single 👏 day 👏. Just another thing to get stronger from. But I still have days where fear pops up and need support, which is why I’m here today because I have a couple of big shows coming up next week, including my band’s album release show. So just reaching out. Thanks y’all! Much love! 🖤
