NSFW Manga SFX Pin Sellers

A small part of my pin collection has some softcore or otherwise sexual pinup designs. Kaffkins, a creator on Etsy, has these really fun NSFW sound effect pins that would be amusing to put next to certain pins of mine. The pins look great and are reasonably priced, but because I'm based in the US and the seller is in the UK, the shipping is outrageous. Of course, this isn't the creator's fault. They're far from the only seller with this issue. But I have a hard time rationalizing pin purchases where the shipping is several times the price of the actual, small, cheaply priced pins.

Does anyone know of creators who make a similar type of product, but might be based in a location with cheaper shipping? I feel a bit bad asking this, because I'd love to support this creator. But as I mentioned above, I have a hard time tripling the price of my order once shipping is included.

A Recommendation for a New, Dark, Unique Read: Healer [MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING]

Maybe this isn't new for everyone, since apparently it's been in serialization since 2023. But I tend to read mostly completed manhwa so I can binge them, with some exceptions when I can't wait. So it's new to ME, and I decided to make an exception and start another ongoing manhwa. I don't see it pop up often in discussion here, so forgive me if I'm talking about something that's old news and I'm somehow oblivious.

[Massive trigger warning for mutilation, abduction, torture, gore, self-harm, drug addiction, unkind portrayals of unregulated mental illness, and more. I'm serious, don't blame me if you read beyond this point.]

-------------------------------------------

Healer is a story that's best gone into with as little known as possible, or at least that's how I read it. Everything I'm mentioning happens in the first 10 chapters and mostly in the opening prequel arc, and you can find it in most official and fan summaries of the series. So I don't feel it's a spoiler.

Our MC is an impoverished orphan teenager who takes care of his handicapped older brother alone, as they both live in squalor. He's bitter and nasty, lashing out at others due to his unfair life. He has nothing to call his own, save for one friend whom he crushes on, and a singing ability that he's praised for. But even that is taken from him when a new boy in town arrives with a supposedly supernatural singing ability that can drive people mad and heal any ailment. The new boy has people after him, looking to use his power, and the MC gets mistaken for him and abducted. Eventually, both boys are captured, castrated, and forced by their handlers to sing for the rich, powerful, and corrupt. After a decade in this forced servitude, they're broken men. Abused, tortured, fed drugs, and mentally broken. Our MC is especially damaged - self-harming, clearly in the throes of drug abuse, and abrasive to everyone around him. He blames the other boy for his situation, and is also bitter that he's being better than the MC at healing/singing, and thus more beloved. The MC is especially jealous that one particular client favors the other boy, and this fractured dynamic begins a plot of deception and self-destruction.

Healer feels unique because of many things. Immediately, the castratos are something I've never seen before in BL, and they create a unique kind of horror. I like that the MC is genuinely nasty and destructive and not simply rude and misunderstood. While the portrayal of mental illness and self-image isn't great, and there are some scenes that made me go oh no, I don't think I like how that was written, it's a very interesting and overall well-written dive into the MC's broken psyche. Each castrato seems to have a new name related to a drug, such as Yaba (meaning "crazy medicine" in Thai, a mix of meth and caffeine), Coca (Cocaine), Weedy (Marijuana/weed), Morfin (Morphine), Metho (Meth), etc, indicating how addictive and destructive their singing is to those who listen. The overall tropes are similar to those you'd find in Low Tide in Twilight, with down-on-their-luck men forced to become products to sell to the underworld and a seedy, manipulative handler/main client, but it also feels like its own thing in a way. The castratos comfort, fight, and use each other, and they seek out comfort and validation in unhealthy ways. The client becomes obsessive and urges the cast to go further into the darkness. It's not a read for the weak of heart. But if you like dark stories or black flags, and you feel like you've read a lot of the same type of yandere stalker romance lately, Healer can feel like a breath of fresh air. I'm very interested to see where this story goes as it eventually reaches a climax.

Oh, I just realized I got this far without mentioning the sex. This is one of those stories with enough going on outside of romance and sexuality, even if everything about the castratos' identities is wrapped up in it, that it's easy to gloss over when I'm trying to be intentionally vague. Yes, there is sex, but it's not a constant thing.

Is Elmer a Manx?

Hello! I saw a post from this subreddit with a cat that looked similar enough to my Elmer that it could've been his sibling, and it made me think - wait, is Elmer a manx?

I got Elmer back in March from a local cat cafe. He's loving, goofy, and so high energy (please, someone give this man some chill pills), and he has a little nub of a tail. The cafe identified him as roughly one year old and knew he was previously a house cat, but they didn't know any more about his health history or what type of home he came from. He had a bit of nervous tension that made me worry he came from a less-than-ideal home, and the tail had been amputated from trauma, but I'm not really sure. He sure doesn't mind the small tail. He wags it like a dog, it seems to have a normal amount of movement and sensation, and he can use it to jump on top of doors and effortlessly balance as he walks across them. The cafe also wasn't sure about his notched ear, as he was not a wild cat, and he was also not neutered when they got him (of course, they made sure to fix him before he was ready to meet guests). On paper, he's a bicolor tabby. He also has a flattened and slightly lopsided bridge of his nose, but it's so faint that you can't see it in pictures.

At the end of the day, whatever breed Elmer is, he's happy and loved. He was a huge adjustment, as my last cat was lazy, tiny, and uncoordinated. Elmer is large (14 lbs, and the vet says it's a healthy weight for him.) He has a ton of muscle, and he uses it to constantly get into mischief in my small one-bedroom apartment. Nothing is safe from his reach, and I had to bolt down all my furniture to the walls to keep things from getting knocked over. His favorite game is knocking things over and trying to yank things off the walls. But I wouldn't trade him for anything.

Thanks for humoring my rant. I really don't know a lot about manxes, so I could be completely wrong. But what do you think?

SVSSS Enamel Pin Creators?

I love collecting enamel pins, but I'm still struggling to find good artists. I've bought a bunch from Etsy, but plenty of amazing artists only sell from their personal stores or Patreon, and I inevitably miss or don't know of them. I've started using Instagram per others' suggestions to find pins, but the algorithm sucks. I want a variety of SVSSS pins to add to my collection. Does anyone know of any good artists?

Pulse Check: Mitsuru Sango Panel

After seeing how quickly the Trigger panel filled up, I'm wondering about other ones I have planned. I assumed Mitsuru Sango, as a niche BL mangaka, wouldn't attract enough of an audience to fill up the entire Panel 1 room. But after Trigger (an obviously more popular panel), my friend wonders that since she was scheduled for the large Panel 1 room, maybe she's more popular than we think.

Do you think Sango is someone we should cut the previous panel short for to line up early?

Recommendation for a Quick, Fun Read: Entangled!

Sometimes I like to read a quick, ridiculous porn-logic manhwa with barely any plot before bed. Tonight I stumbled upon Entangled! by BUMBUMMAN. It's an 8-chapter manhwa about a magical boy (they never state or even imply ages, so I assume that means a college-age adult using the male equivalent of the term magical girl, and not a literal boy. He has his own place and income), Maple. He discovers his porn tentacle powers and uses them to torment the naive tsundere dark lord Daisy, who's easy to rile up and trick into compromising situations. We have a dark-skinned, beefy bottom and a smaller, feminine top. But also, these guys are SWITCHES, the thing we all love to see, but so rarely find. It's a short series where all they do is have a lot of sex, so don't come here looking for a deep plot or characterization. But I had fun, and I felt it might be something a lot of you would enjoy. It's also very comedic, regularly breaking the fourth wall for a quick gag.

If you enjoy it, you're welcome! If you comment other fun, silly short manhwa to read, awesome! Thank you!

(This is my third attempt to post this. The first two were auto-deleted by Reddit - not the mods, don't blame them - because the manhwa is uncensored, and I had a third picture with Daisy's dick out. I even censored the dick myself in Microsoft Paint, and it still was taken down. So here, my compromised post, and you just have to take my word for it that Daisy is a hot muscle man.)

My Favorite BL Manwha Men [You Are My World, Love Tractor, Bongchon Bride, Mr. A's Farm, Honey Bear]

Do I have a type? Yes. Is it clear that my taste developed via decades of bara manga, before finally getting into manhwa a year ago? Probably. As a fan of soft teddy bear muscle men (both tops and bottoms), I often feel left out when the average anime is about a teenage twink, and for a while, most manhwa I was aware of (simply because I didn't know the genre well) looked like airbrushed K-Pop idols. Once I realized how good manhwa could be and that my initial assumption was wrong, I've spent the last 12 or so months binging as many titles as I could find. My backlog is huge, but I've finally gotten a little bit of a break where I can start binging again. I've been breaking my fast with a lot of beefcake. (And yanderes, but this post isn't about that. I like many different tastes.) This week, I've gotten through Love Tractor and most of the way through Honey Bear, and I'm feasting after starving for so long. Aaaahhhh, I love these men!

Um, I guess this is a general post about favorite BL men? Or beefy guys? Judo athletes? Farmers? There's a lot of overlap in my taste. Recommendations? I didn't really plan this out; I just wanted to post about my boys.

In Order:

Gong Juhyeok - You are my World

Suh Yechan - Love Tractor

Bongchon - Bonchon Bride

Little A - Mr. A's Farm

Moon Geonwoo - Honey Bear

User Submitted Titles on MAL

https://preview.redd.it/5rnm8qd4cveh1.png?width=397&format=png&auto=webp&s=21177bc2b2837bb798538db8816bc6e3b60240ec

I've been a regular MAL user for almost a decade, and I love its features. However, I've noticed that while the site is great for cataloging anime, it's missing a chunk of niche manga titles, and the manhwa, manhua, and novel libraries are woefully sparse compared to some other sites. I understand it's called MyANIMEList and not MyMANHWAList, but it's very disappointing that I can't include some of my reading on the site, considering it's so good in other ways.

I know users can submit titles. In fact, I submitted a few years ago. In my case, it took months or years to approve (I don't remember how long it was anymore), and I know there are plenty of other cases of titles sitting in approval limbo for years. I don't know the reasons as to why this happens, and I'm sure some are submitted incorrectly. I'm not blaming MAL or mods for this. But I'd really like to spend weeks or months submitting hundreds of titles to help fill MAL's library. It's a labor of love I'd like to do to improve the site. But I don't want to spend all that time on a project that's going to sit unapproved again. Does anyone know if the submission process has gotten better, why it had so many issues in the past/present, or who I could ask to get more information?

BL Where a Broken Man Moves to the Countryside to Heal and Find Love [Love Tractor]

I finally read Love Tractor after everyone kept posting the cutest panels I've ever seen. I really enjoyed it, but I feel absolutely cheated that we didn't get more explicit sex. God, Yechan is the cutest, and I NEEDED to see Yool make a mess out of him more than we got.

Anyway, porn aside, what are other BL where a broken MC or ML moves to the countryside and finds love? I'll admit it's the BL equivalent of a cheap Hallmark movie, but hey, those movies sell for a reason. I know there's plenty of other BL manga and manhwa in this category. I've read some, but I can't think of any at the moment. Help?

Ghost BL (Do S Obake ga Nekasete Kurenai)

It's a new day, and I'm here with a new niche topic asking for recommendations. Does anyone know of any ghost BL? I'm asking for a series where one of the main characters is a ghost, not just when they're in a supernatural setting. Stories where one character is astral projecting from a coma or something also count, because that's just ghost stories with a happy ending. I'm willing to squint here and there lol, I'm not going to be a stickler. So far I most of what I can think of is manga, but I'm of course interested in manhwa and manhua as well.

Do S Obake ga Nekasete Kurenai (The Sadistic Ghost Doesn't Allow Me to Sleep)

Spiritpact

Sincerely Yours

Toumei ni Kuchizuke

Koi no Ghost (The Ghost of Love)

Umi no Soko (The Bottom of the Sea)

Lonely to Organdy

Suki, dakara Furetai (I Want To Feel You Because I Like You)

Me ni wa Sayaka ni Mienedomo (Beyond My Touch)

Yurei-kun Tsuitemasu (Possessed by a Ghost)

Monster and Ghost

Asagao wa Yoru kara Saku

Bokura no Seishun wa Shindenai (Our Youth Isn't Dead)

I also have Otsukaresama, Kurose-kun (Ghoul Work, Kurose), Haunted by Desire, Prince Bari, Love at First Fright, and Noisy Roommate: Ienashi ni Natta node Ikemen to Kaii Tsukimono Ken de Doukyo Hajimemashita (My Noisy Roommate: The Roof Over My Head Comes with Monsters and a Hottie) on my list, but I haven't read them yet to verify. I'm also a big MXTX fan, but I'm kind of torn if MDZS and TGCF should count or not. I mean, technically, there is a ghost and a ghost king in those. Idk, start a debate in the comments about what counts as ghosts lmao.

Collection Tracking Spreadsheet

I've been obsessed with enamel pins since I was a child, but I only got serious about collecting them recently. Then I went a bit overboard and bought so many, using up my entire tax refund and then some lol...oops. But I don't regret 99% of them, I'm so happy. Enamel pin collecting has become a hobby of mine, and I love discussing them, shopping for more, and keeping up with artists. There's something nice about it being an almost entirely small business collection. I've messaged and had discussions with a handful of artists, and it's always been pleasant. And the freebies some give are so fun.

The problem with smaller creators is that stock tends to be so limited, and items are only available for a short time. It's easy for shops to blur together if you haven't bought anything for a while, or forget where certain ones came from. I like to keep track of my favorite vendors and recommend them to people when discussing my collection. So, last night at 1 AM, I randomly decided to make a spreadsheet to keep track of my collection. It's mainly enamel and acrylic pins and keychains, but there are some other items in my collection I have surrounding my home office. Do other people keep track of their collection this way, or did I just do something a bit ridiculous because I'm obsessed with categorizing and listing things?

(Before anyone asks, I posted my collection here recently, so I felt I shouldn't take up space posting it again.)

Crossdressing Tops (Josou Oniisan ga Nonke wo Torotoro ni Naru made Kaihatsu shitara)

Hey there, I'm the degenerate who likes to make big men cry, and I'm here with another request. What BL can you name with crossdressing tops? I'll be honest, what I really want more of is trans people in BL, GL, and hetero romance in general. (I'm a bisexual trans woman, so I'm into all kinds of sexualities and gender expression.) But since that's really hard to come by, I'm settling for manga/manhwa about crossdressing tops. Of course, crossdressing =/= transition, just....Okay, I lost my point here. But please give me femme-presenting people railing men. Masc bottoms are preferred, but not required.

(Also, if I'm wrong and there are manhwa with sex scenes involving trans people of any sexuality, please let me know. I know of non-explicit trans stories, and I know of fetish material that isn't great representation. There aren't many times I get to see myself in a story with a complex character and an active sex life that isn't derogatory, and that's why I've accepted crossdressing stories even though I am not a crossdresser.)

So far, my crossdressing top list is pretty small:

Campus Secret Girlfriend ♡

Josou Oniisan ga Nonke wo Torotoro ni Naru made Kaihatsu shitara (Cross-Dresser Therapy: Make Me a Shameless Bottom)

Sekai de Ichiban Kawaii! (You Are the Cutest in the World)

Cop and Suspect BL? (Mad Place)

I'm trying to make a running list of BL romance about a cop and suspect, or maybe a bounty hunter and outlaw, anything with that game of cat and mouse and mystery. It can be manhwa or any other type. Right now, I can think of:

Mad Place

Beware the Ides of March

Dead or Alive

Bane of my Existence

There has to be a lot more I'm forgetting! Does anyone know of some?

Baseball BL?

My father is a big baseball nerd, and on Father's Day, we usually go see a professional baseball game at one of several local or semi-local stadiums. I love spending time doing this with him, but also, baseball uniforms are so hot. They perfectly show off a player's ass, and somehow I ended up in the perfect seats right behind where the batters warmed up before going up to bat. I was able to see a ton of gorgeous eye candy. The player with the biggest ass even kept smacking the baseball bat between his ass cheeks when he would swing the bat overhead from front to back. It was such a treat, even if I did wonder why he and he alone did this, no more than 10 feet from my face.

All this to say, I'm hungry for some baseball BL. I know of Curveball and Splitter, but I haven't read it yet. Are there any other hot titles I should be aware of? Also, why the hell was that one batter at the game today doing that lmao??

4 Years of HRT and No Breast Growth

I've been on estradiol for 4 years and progesterone for 3. I've done sublingual and injections at different doses for both. I've had great changes in other parts of my body, but in 4 years I've had no breast growth. Even my endo says if I want breasts, I just need to get top surgery. It's not a matter of being on too low a dose, as for a while Planned Parenthood had me on such a high dose that I was ODing with severe symptoms and my new (current) endo said I'd have a pulmonary embolism in weeks if I didn't change doses. So it's not from a lack of medication. My skin changed, my mood stabilized, even my face changed structure a bit. But there's been zero breast growth other than what was already there from being fat. My family has very large breasts on both sides, so my genes should be in my favor.

I guess I'm just venting, since even a doctor told me there's nothing more I can do. But I'm too overweight to hope for top surgery, so I'm just stuck in a silhouette that looks wrong. Every other tranfemme on hormones I see has no issues growing at least a modest chest, I've never heard of virtually no growth in 4 years. My nipples got sensitive just a few weeks into HRT, so I expected the change, and then....nothing. For 4 years. I asked if my weight was preventing breasts from growing, and I was told no, if anything heavier people tend to experience more breast growth because there's more fat to move around.

ADHD & Autism Testing in Hagerstown

Per a therapist and psychiatrist's advice, I'm looking for a neuropsychologist in the area who can do testing for ADHD and autism. I do not need a new psychiatrist. I need one visit with a neuropsychologist who can give me a possible diagnosis and refer me back to my existing psychologist. Unfortunately, it seems most offices don't do this testing. I've been given an entire list by my psychiatrist and another by my PCP, and every local provider on the list has told me that, despite the information my doctors have, they don't do it. I even went as far as to call Johns Hopkins, and they also say they don't do autism or ADHD testing in children or adults. Nowhere seems to do the testing I need to get the official diagnosis.

Does anyone know of anywhere that can do this? I prefer local, but telehealth is also an option, and if I have to, I'll drive. Again, I'm not looking for a new psychiatrist who will need multiple appointments. I have one, and that psych is telling me I need to find someone else for this test.

Safe, Sane, and Consensual BDSM [Kabukichou Bad Trip]

I've been on this subreddit for weeks ranting about how much I love red and black flag romance. But I also really like healthy, realistic BDSM relationships. I've read a good number of them myself, and I also searched past posts here for other titles. I've amassed a decent list, but does anyone have any more suggestions? It can be manhwa, manga, or manhua.

The list below is a mix of suggestions and ones I've read, though some of them I read years ago and don't remember all too well. Please chime in if you have any additional suggestions, or if you notice that I'm remembering/was recommended something that isn't healthy BDSM.

Final note, I do know about the D/S verse, but tbh I haven't read much of it. I have some unpopular opinions about it lmao.

Best Way to Find New Artists

Fairly new pin collector here, what's the best way to find new artists that you'd like to follow and shop from? In-person conventions are fun, but I only go to one con a year and don't have the time or money to do more. So I scour the internet for pins. Etsy has been a great source of wonderful finds, but I know a lot of creators have Patreons and other exclusive clubs to sell pins that never make it to the general public. Honestly, I've never used Patreon, so this could just be user error. But when I go searching on Patreon, most posts are hidden unless you're a backer. That makes sense, but it means I can't use the search function as a catalog to find artists to support. I know pins are resold on Mercari, eBay, and other third-party sites, but I'm ideally searching for a way to find these creators and support them directly. I've tried searching "enamel pins" on Bluesky, but that doesn't seem to be a good way to do it. I got rid of Twitter ages ago, and haven't been on Tumblr since the porn ban. I keep trying to use Facebook groups for things, but that site is awful sometimes.

Vent aside, where is the largest and most easily accessible place for me to sift through and find new pin artists? I know many artists have their own personal sites as well, but that seems even more difficult for a random person like me to stumble upon.

Japanese Guests?

I've been going to Otakon for a long time, since 2007. Every year you can make pretty reliable rough estimates to when they'll begin and end their guest announcements, it follows a well established pattern.

They are extremely late/sparse with foreign guest announcements this year. For Japanese guests in particular, there's no voice actors or anime staff at all, at time of posting. It's really starting to make me worried. Last year I was already afraid of people avoiding America, though I was thankfully proven wrong. And this year of course there's even more potential hesitancy as US foreign travel plummets. Many of my favorite panels are the ones led by Japanese voice actors and anime staff, and I always have to preorder my ticket gambling that there will be ones I like. I'm worried this year might be a disappointment.

New Pin Collector's Collection

I've always loved enamel pins since childhood, but my allowance wouldn't allow it so I decorated my messenger bag with cheaper button maker pins. Now I'm an adult and have my own place, and last year I realized hey, I can finally grow my collection. So I've been on the hunt for enamel pins and keychains that I like.

I'm really picky. I can't say what makes me like a pin, but this is the result so far after looking at tens of thousands of pins and keychains over the last year. With of course room to grow, and I'm always on the hunt for new items.

(Yes, I know my calendar says July. My cat likes to yank it off the corkboard, and I didn't realize I put it back on the wrong month)

I love fandom pins of IPs I like, but recently I've finally started getting OC pins too. Most of these are from Etsy or in person cons, but I'd love more recommendations if anyone here recognizes shows or styles they also like.

Flagged for NSFW because of the tits out angel and the bunny suit boys.
