I want to learn plumbing to build a tiny home and I know absolutely nothing.

I want to learn plumbing to build a tiny home among other reasons and I know absolutely nothing.

Who can I learn from and trust to know that I am learning from the right person.

My biggest fear is that ill learn something from the wrong platform or book and ill make a huge mistake.

Thank you ❤️

Sleep schedule and efficiency

Hello!

Ive pondered on this alot for months and especially this morning.

My wake up time is 5:30am and my bedtime is 9:30pm.

I wanted to keep the same time because I believe waking and sleeping at the same time gives your body a predictable pattern so that it can get the most efficient sleep, and also I can plan time day around my times and feel my best.

But here lies the problem, some nights I have things to do and I dont wait till the morning or another day. I do them and I stay up late. Then im tired and sometimes the rest of my next day is sloppy and inefficient.

I think maybe ill just get that extra sleep on the weekends or have coffee to power me through. But then my schedule is messed up and its very inefficient. Also a problem with staying up is that I dont have a predictable routine I can make better. But on the other hand, it stresses me out when im all out if hours and I need or want to do something important.

So I try to think and figure out if its better to always or mostly keep that same wake and sleep schedule or should I not worry about it.

The ultimate goal is to get as much done as possible and become more efficient each day. I have a lot im trying to accomplish in a short amount of time.

Massive gap at bottom of the door

Good morning

Ive got a problem. My door has a massive 2 inch gap at the bottom and light from the living room shine in while my baby and wife are sleeping. I dont want to permanently close it cause airflow is needed but id like to slide something there to block it in the morning when im up early. I thought about just throwing a towel or something down but then im like well where am I going to put it during the day after they wake up? Not qanging to put a dirty floor towel back in the bathroom.

This seems like a little problem but maybe someone has a good idea.

Thanks!

What do you do without your phone

I dont know what to do without my phone.

Im 29 years old, I have lyme disease and when I put my phone down I just dont know what to do or feel like doing anything. Im bored, im like gosh I just need something to do. Staring at the wall isnt cutting it for me. I need time to rest in an enjoyable way because I work all the time.

For context, I have lyme disease so I have physical limitations. If I cant sit down to do something then its pretty much a no go.

Im looking for some advice or something to do for rest or comfort or enjoyment. No i dont want to read a book or draw/color.

Please don't try to give me your 2 cents about my disease, im actively doing what I can about it and Ive had it for years.

Thank you

Ego pole saw

Hey!

I created a thread before asking about pole saws and after comments and some more research I considered the EGO dedicated pole saw but I am concerned about the chain coming off of it or getting loose easily.

I understand that happens naturally with every saw but is this a problem with this tool where I should consider a different option?

Whats been your experience with the EGO pole saw?

Does anyone have a recommendation of a pole saw (preferably electric because I dont want to deal with gas and mixing)

Thank you

Need a pole saw

Hey!

I need a pole saw for cutting some limbs In a tree (picture below). I dont know if this is one of those tools you stick with your brand or just get some generic one. What recommendations for a pole saw do you suggest?

I have some dewalt and EGO electric tools but im open for something outside the brand if its economical and good!

Thanks!

2026 RAV4 for 33.2k OTD, worth it?

I got a final offer for 33,200 out the door for a 2026 rav4 LE in the color meteor shower ( gray). Is this a good deal.

Should I go for it? What did you pay for your 2026 Rav4 and what model?

Thank you

Edit: I added the photo of the deal from the toyota dealership down below in a comment. Sorry for not having it up here, I cant edit it in.

Edit 2: Thank you for all your comments, we decided to get the car! It will arrive in 2-3 weeks. Its FWD not AWD, the dealer said its extremely hard to get those currently. But we are happy with it! We started at 34,500 before fees, taxes, etc and after a couple of calls we got to the 33,200 mark OTD. Thank you guys again, ive never owned a new car so its a special day for me.

P.S. someone mentioned low taxes, we live in NC

Whats the point of paying all this money to have a new problem.

Hey!

My wife and I have the litter robot 4. We have 3 cats and we have to change the bag everyday or if we're lucky every other day.

I try to clean the sensors but its really hard despite sticking my head into the spinning dome of piss and shit. I dont want to do that every other day with a Q-tip.

So what's the point of spending 700-800 dollars on a machine to solve your problem when you just have a new one? The new problem being dirty sensors that arent easy to clean.

Has anyone found a good solution for this? My next thought is using compressed air to blow off the sensors. Maybe thatll work.

Anyone else dealing with the problem?

I need serious help!

Hey!

I quick understanding about me

I have lyme disease and I get flare ups then my back gets super tight. Exercise and stretching makes it worse no matter what kind, it just comes with the disease.

The only thing that really works is my wife stepping on my back (shes about 120-130 lbs but it can be much more weight like 180 lbs).

She just had a baby and is healing so she cant for a while and my back is so bad im not functional, im struggling to just change my babies diaper and its so bad this morning I dont even think I can.

Ive been to a few massage therapist and they don't hit the spots like my wife or maybe its just the sheer weight stepping on my back.

Literally 5 minutes of stepping on my back feels way better than an hour massage.

Im willing to pay a good price for a machine that maybe lays on the floor so it can use my body weight to really massage me. The chair ones dont really do it for me that much even when I went to the chiropractor and that machine was probably $5000-10,000 dollars. So I think a laying one will be the way to go unless you have a chair you truly believe in.

I need desperate help and paying a $100 massage twice a week is not realistic for me but I can buy an expensive machine that will last for a long time.

My price range may be about $2000 if it really will help me.

Something like this, what do you think?

Please help!

Thank you

Hello!

Ive asked others and did some research but I want to ask reddit- what do you brand do you recommend for fiberglass showers?

The size of our shower will be 60X36. We chose that width because we dont want the laminate floor ending showing.

What are some very trusted brands that are economical?

Thank you
